### **Workshop overview**
Drawing Your Path to Growth & Potential. Can you reshape your reality with just a marker in your hand?
Welcome to NeuroTree, an immersive workshop grounded in the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and creative research. Using the Neurographic method, we move beyond traditional art to engage in a unique dialogue with the subconscious mind.
The "NeuroTree" is one of the most powerful algorithms in this practice. It is a visual metaphor for your life, allowing you to use your past experiences as the "roots" that fuel your future achievements and "branches" of potential.
Neurographics is a meditative drawing process that uses specialized lines and shapes to help "rewire" your emotional response to challenges
Join us!
### **The Journey**
* Identify Your Roots: Transform your previous experiences and lessons into a solid foundation for growth.
* Cultivate Your Potential: Use the NeuroTree algorithm to visualise and manifest new goals, habits, and achievements.
* Harmonise Your Mind: Learn the "rounding" technique to smooth out internal conflicts and create a sense of psychological flow.
* Shape Your Reality: Discover how intentional drawing can shift your perspective and unlock new pathways in your life.
### **Who Is This For?**
This workshop is open to everyone. **No art skills or previous drawing experience are required.** If you are looking for a creative, science-backed way to manage overthinking, boost your confidence, or simply explore your potential, you are in the right place.
This workshop is in English, therefore communicating and understanding English is necessary for participation.

The location is called **Lapinlahden Lähde** and is situated within the historic Lapinlahti hospital area near Hietaniemi. You can find us at **Lapinlahdenpolku 8**, specifically in the **Tallipääty** (Stable Wing) section of the building. Full Circle
Full Circle is a community of practice where mental health and wellbeing professionals come together to learn, share, and grow.
If you’re a mental health or wellbeing practitioner who thrives on shared wisdom and community, Full Circle offers a space where you can connect, grow, and bring fresh insights back into your client work.
**Full Circle is for professionals who work with clients in mental health or wellbeing** (e.g. psychotherapists, counsellors, art therapists, coaches, and others integrating mind–body approaches) .
A community of practice is a space where we come together as professionals to share our experiences, challenges, and insights, not to be taught, but to learn from each other.
Full Circle is about connection, not workshops. It’s a circle of peers, not a classroom.
**By registering for this event, you agree to stand by our shared principles:**
* Confidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
* Presence: We give our full attention to each other, listening deeply.
* Respect: Every voice matters; we value different perspectives and approaches.
* Curiosity: We come to explore, not to give definitive answers.
* Contribution: Everyone is encouraged to share practices, cases, and reflections.
* Commitment: We show up consistently, knowing the community grows through regular participation.
**How our gatherings work**:
We gather **once a month** in person, and every time we move through the same process:
* *Check-in*: We begin by going around the circle, with each person sharing what’s present for them in the moment.
* *Shared practice*: One member of the community leads the group through a method, exercise, or embodied practice from their own field. Everyone experiences it first-hand.
* *Integration dialogue*: Together, we explore what the practice brought up and how it might be woven into our client work.
* *Check-out*: Each person shares one insight they will carry with them.

Board Games at Arkade (Thursday)
Pay the **5 € board gaming fee** to the bar at the counter when you arrive. You must be at least 18 years old to enter [Arkade](https://www.arkade.fi/). We play in English and the game rules are taught before starting play, unless everyone is already familiar with the game. No previous experience with board gaming required. Despite our RSVP numbers here on Meetup, we almost always have at least 20 people participating weekly.
The venue has a great board game library, the host and other players usually bring their own games too: our selection varies weekly. We're a very casual group so you're welcome to arrive early or late and join whatever game is starting up, there is no attendance tracking, or welcoming process.
The bar has alcoholic drinks, mocktails, and soft drinks available as well as some snack foods. They've been okay with people ordering food to the bar with meal delivery services.
If you are feeling sick, please stay home.

Play Badminton [Social Games] @Smash Center
【IMPORTANT SUMMARY】
* The purpose of social games is to know some people, do some exercise and enjoy the games together with others. Winning and getting points is not the focus of this session. Please play with consideration to your opponents' level.
* Please purchase your slot through this link [https://7538e9.myshopify.com/](https://7538e9.myshopify.com/)
【SIGN-UP SYSTEM】
* Please sign up and pay through this link. [https://7538e9.myshopify.com/products/social-game](https://7538e9.myshopify.com/products/social-game)
* We don't use the signup system on Meetup.com anymore. (Neither the waiting list)
* It says this event is full on this meetup page, because I didn't open any slots here for you to sign up. You have to check this [sign-up page](https://7538e9.myshopify.com/products/social-game) to see if there is still a slot available there.
* The background of using an external sign-up and payment system is because Meetup.com introduced a service fee to increase 21% of the fee in May 2023, and we want to reduce this cost.
【FEE and REFUND POLICY】
* Fee includes courts and plastic shuttles. Please sign up and pay before you come. NO refund if you do not cancel until 48 hours before the event.
* Racket: bring one or rent one at the counter.
* You can put a comment to sell your slot after the deadline of refund, or sell your slot in our whatsapp group.
* No matter the reason is sickness, accident or anything, the group or I will not afford the cost caused by your absence.
* Of course you CAN'T ask me, "Can I sign up for free for next week because I didn't come to use my slot this week?". Please remember, the court booked for you was there and it costs money. The court doesn't simply become "free of charge", just because you didn't come to use it.
【COMMUNICATION】
* Communication: our whatsapp group [https://chat.whatsapp.com/JJQbJlisbcj5YDnlcSu347](https://chat.whatsapp.com/JJQbJlisbcj5YDnlcSu347)
* There are too many spams, so I only accept +358 number to join whatsapp group. Numbers from other countries will all be rejected.
【OTHERS】
* Please always keep 1 meter away from those courts where people are playing. Never step into the corners of other courts! If I see you do this, I probably will yell at you!
* If you have some questions, you can put your questions in the comments on the event page. People will respond.
* We play double games to 21 points. After each game, please let those who are waiting to play. Feel free to play with whoever you want, but please avoid playing with the same people all the time.
* If you are new to badminton, please Google basic badminton rules in advance. Serve rules, double rules and point counting rules. You are always welcome to ask anyone in our group. Most of our members are more than happy to help you.
* Badminton activity is organized for non-profit purpose, but I take a small fee for my work.

Saraab - We Are Stories
East Helsinki should be an independent country. Where people stand for things. Empathy, compassion, gratitude and everything good and left. Come and listen to some of them with us, have a cup of tea or soup of the day.
If you want to tell a story or perform then send us a request at saraab.helsinki@gmail.com We will also have some stories from the hat, so come-check the vibe and put your name in the hat if you feel like telling one.

### **Workshop overview**
What does your inner world look like?
If your thoughts were a room, would they have high ceilings and open windows, or a winding staircase leading to a hidden door? Mapping the Mind is a reflective, guided art workshop that invites you to visualise your internal landscape through the lens of "inner architecture."
In this session, we go beyond traditional portraiture or landscapes to explore the spaces we inhabit within ourselves. Using light, shadow, and structure, you will create a visual map of your current emotional state and personal journey.
Join us!
### **The Journey**
* We blend mindfulness with mixed-media artistry to help you build your "inner architecture"
* Begin with a gentle meditation to ground your awareness and settle into the space.
* Use guided writing prompts to translate abstract feelings into physical metaphors (doors, windows, maps, or staircases).
* Bring your vision to life through a rich variety of mixed media, including drawing, painting, and collage.
### **Who Is This For?**
This workshop is a sanctuary for anyone looking to deepen their emotional awareness through a calm, supportive, and creative outlet.
No "Art Skills" Required: This is about self-expression, not technical perfection.
Wellbeing Focused: Perfect for those looking for a meditative, low-pressure way to process thoughts and emotions.
Curious Minds: For anyone interested in the intersection of psychology, spatial design, and art.

### **About Giulia**
Giulia Lepori is an Italian sociologist whose work lives at the intersection of mental health, art, and creative exploration. During her university years in Turin, she co-founded an artistic laboratory, Flux Lab, that became a living space for experimentation, dialogue, and collective creation. Over seven years, she worked across multiple artistic languages, curating workshops, exhibitions, courses, and public events.
Her path led her to a one-year art therapy training grounded in a psychodynamic approach, deepening her interest in creativity as a tool for care, expression, and transformation. Giulia has facilitated creative workshops with adults, adolescents, children, and people with disabilities, shaping spaces where art becomes a shared process rather than a finished product. In 2024, she brought her practice to Helsinki, organising her first creative workshop in collaboration with Mieli Without Borders during Mental Health Art Week.
The Art of Playing : Playful Mindfulness
WHAT WE DO
What if the most alive version of you isn't something to achieve — but something to remember?
The Art of Playing is a workshop built around Pungryudo, Korea's ancient philosophy of Wind and Flow. We explore what it means to live the way a river moves: without striving, without losing momentum, completely present.
The workshop moves through three practices:
— Philosophy: the roots of Pungnyudo and its two core movements, Mosim (the art of deep reception) and Sallim (the natural arising of action)
— Anapana Living: a daily-life meditation where thoughts, emotions, impulses, fear, memories, dialogues, and intertactions with others & nature, all become the practice
— Donghak Sword Dance CBC: a somatic partner practice rooted in Korean shamanic tradition, for experiencing non-separation between ourselves and the rest of the world
All three point toward the same thing: Capacity for Play — the ability to meet life as play. Not as a technique. As a way of being.
The word Pungryu also means “to play”.
—
IS THIS FOR YOU?
This workshop tends to resonate if you recognise yourself in any of these:
1\. Autopilot — Habit and automatic reaction carry you through the day\. You move without noticing you're moving\.
2\. Overdoing — You're good at achieving things\, but fulfilment keeps slipping just out of reach\. The present moment is always somewhere in the future\.
3\. Withdrawing — You've been on retreats\. You've touched real peace\. But it dissolves the moment you return to ordinary life\, and you can't figure out how to bring it with you\.
If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place. This workshop exists precisely in the gap between where those three modes leave you — and where you actually want to be.

### **Workshop overview ( This workshop is intended for women only)**
The Integrated Self: A Vision Board Workshop for Strength & Shadow
Move beyond self-criticism and visualise your whole, authentic self.
Do you find yourself overthinking your worth or feeling like you have to hide certain parts of your personality to be accepted? The Integrated Self is a beginner-friendly vision board and collage workshop designed for anyone ready to rebuild their self-image with kindness, clarity, and depth.
Unlike traditional vision boards that only focus on external goals, this session focuses on internal integration. Using psychological archetypes, we will create a visual portrait that honours both your radiant strengths and your "shadow" traits, helping you move from insecurity toward a grounded, unified sense of self.
Join us!
### **The Creative Journey**
* Archetype Discovery: Identify the universal "inner characters" shaping your life, from the resilient Protector and the Wise Guide to the curious Explorer.
* Mindful Planning: Use guided prompts to move past the "inner critic" and visualise a version of yourself that feels real and empowered.
* Vision Boarding: Using a curated selection of images, textures, and symbols, you will assemble a visual map of your inner landscape.
* Empowered Integration: Learn to see your "shadow" traits not as flaws, but as untapped sources of energy and self-knowledge.
### **Who Is This For?**
* This workshop is a sanctuary for **any woman** looking to deepen their emotional awareness through a calm, supportive, and creative outlet.
* Struggles with persistent overthinking or self-doubt.
* Wants to boost their inner confidence through a tactile, creative process.
* Is looking for a "Vision Board" experience with more psychological and reflective depth.
* Desires a supportive, non-judgmental environment to explore their identity.
* This workshop is in English, therefore communicating and understanding English is necessary for participation.

Drunken Philosophy: What’s up with all the AI hate?
**Welcome to Drunken Philosophy** a casual, curious social discussion
**Optional topic for this meetup: What's up with all the AI hate?**
A recent survey found that 74% of Americans have a negative view of AI, and I want to know why. Come out and debate whether AI is good or bad.
My hot take: a labor-saving tool that could potentially help cure cancer gets called dangerous because it might raise unemployment or cause a speculative investment bubble, that tells you a lot more about capitalism and the economic system we live under than it does about the tool itself. As a computer programmer, I think AI is a wonderful tool that has increased my productivity by at least an order of magnitude. I'd go so far as to say Claude Code is the best tool I have ever used. Debate me and name a better one.
Is AI potentially dangerous? Yes, but so are a lot of tools. Chainsaws. Steam engines (early ones would occasionally explode and kill everyone in the room). Do you think cavemen sat around debating whether fire could be used as a weapon or for self-harm, and decided not to discover it?
I have two friends who hate AI for opposite reasons: one thinks it's a fad and not useful, and the other thinks it's going to take over everything and cause human extinction.
Come out tonight, have a friendly debate, and make some friends.
No lectures. Friendly crowd. Drop in for one drink and stay if it's fun.

Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration!
This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired.
**New to electronics or curious about tinkering?**
You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building.
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.

The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.

Engaging in men’s work is the new way to forge friendships while being open-minded to personal growth. Many men experience healthier relationships, personally and professionally, by engaging in this work.
Open Men’s Group is a container for men to share vulnerably without receiving judgment or feedback.
We believe that emotionally mature, powerful, compassionate, and purpose-driven men will help heal some of society’s deepest wounds. We support the powerful brilliance of men and we are willing to look at, and take full responsibility for, the pain we are also capable of creating – and suffering. We care deeply about men, our families, communities, and the planet.
