Ever want to try ceramics or build on your skills? Then this would be the perfect opportunity. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to make so many different things for yourself, friends or family - bowls, plates, sushi dishes, plants pots and much more. Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. **L’Eix Fort Pienc ho dona tot per l’Orgull Friki!** Botigues, escenaris i cultura pop al cor del triangle friki ens sumem a la gran celebració del Dia de l’Orgull Friki de Barcelona, una jornada plena d’activitats per a tots els públics al Passeig de Lluís Companys, sota l’Arc de Triomf. Organitzat pel Departament de Joventut de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, amb la col·laboració d’Eix Fort Pienc i la participació de nombroses entitats frikis de la ciutat, l’esdeveniment omplirà el passeig d’activitats de 12 a 20 h amb un ambient festiu, creatiu i carregat de referències a la cultura pop, el manga, l’anime, la fantasia, els jocs de rol i de taula, el cosplay i molt més. It takes place in a very spacious and bright studio and you are welcomed to come with your own ideas or simply follow along and let your creativity blossom during the mindful 3 hours of making. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to create functional ware or small sculptural work. Beginners will be guided through the process using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing and surface decoration. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcomed to use the wheel which would need to be reserved in advance. Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are mainly run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to practice their English.
