This gathering is part of an ongoing exploration of creative block and the strange inner patterns that often interfere with the creative process. In the Poetic Toolbox we sometimes call these patterns creative monsters — the voices, doubts, and protective mechanisms that show up when we try to make something meaningful. During the evening we’ll explore these ideas through a mix of conversation, reflection, and a gentle embodiment practice designed to reconnect with the body and creativity from a calmer place. You don’t need to have attended previous sessions to join. Curiosity about your own creative process is enough. Toward the end of the evening we’ll move into a light breathwork and visualization practice, followed by a quiet moment of creative integration and sharing. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630.
