A recent attack from a mysterious foe has left the ship severely damaged, and Captain Nemo badly injured. Taking to the helm, you have just 60 minutes to steer the ship to sanctuary and locate Atlantis. If you fail, Atlantis may go undiscovered for another two thousand years. Join our group for under-represented writers who want more time to write, feedback on their work, and tips on developing their craft. \*\* Please come to the Reading Room on the 2nd floor at The Wellcome Collection and look out for the Writer's Corner sign \*\* The Writers' Corner is a peer support community for under-represented writers, with bi-monthly meet-ups both online and in-person. Join us if you want more time and space to write, get feedback on your work or to develop your craft. We welcome all writers who tend to get overlooked by the publishing industry, or struggle to afford the costs of other writing courses and groups. We'll let you self define, but we particularly welcome writers of colour, those from the LGBTQ+ community, disabled writers, unpaid carers, low income writers and anyone who self-defines as a woman. While we have done our best to pick venues that are accessible to all, if you have any specific accesss requirements please send us a message so we can discuss how we can meet your needs. This circular walk crosses three local authority areas (Barnet, Enfield and Hertfordshire) and starts at Cockfosters Station. We make our way to Hadley Common, then turn north to the exclusive houses of Hadley Wood. We then follow a footpath along the Hertfordshire / Enfield border to Hook Wood. From there we make our way through the wood to Northaw village. We will have our lunch stop at the Two Brewers pub or you can bring a packed lunch and eat in in the churchyard of St Thomas a Becket church next door. We return via Hook Wood, and part of the London Loop route. We then walk through Trent Park (next to Cockfosters Station) and can have tea and cakes at the café.
