Although things might not be looking up now with WW3 kicking off, we do have a bit to be hopeful for at the moment: the treasurer is increasingly signalling a willingness to conduct economic reform, and so it's a super relevant time to be campaigning for a basic income 😉 On that note, we're probably overdue to get the crew together for another social meetup — I always enjoy meeting new people who are passionate about economic liberty. We'll be having a get-together in Brunswick, hosted by Owen Miller, one of our loyal supporters. Besides members from Basic Income Australia, there will also be some other political people. Feel free to bring a friend btw — there will inevitably be some lighter-hearted conversation too 😄 and people just there to enjoy the disco playlist 🕺🪩 Hope you can make it!

Our late afternoon get-together (from time to time) (4-6pm) for a drink and conversation *en français* at Southgate food court by the Yarra river. It is easy to find. We will get together in the sheltered seating area (as per photo above) outside the food court *en plein air.* Southgate food court is just across the river from Flinders Street Station. We can buy a glass of wine or hot drink inside the food court. A glass of wine costs $11 at Grill'd or Rhumbas. Any change of arrangement, will be posted on the meetup website.

Jewellers can hire a desk in our workshop to make or finish off their own pieces. This workshop is self run, you need to attend a health and safety induction before working daily unattended. Basic jewellery making tools are provided and some consumables such as flux, borax, tumbling polish, lathe polish and some drill bits. This is a coffee meetup for creative people to share/talk about their current projects.
