ISLINGTON EDGES.....brand new walk
ISLINGTON EDGES.....brand new walk
**ISLINGTON EDGES.**............Brand new for 2025 On this tour we touch various parts of London from Islington to Camden, from Kings Cross to Bloomsbury from Clerkenwell to Angel. But central to it all is Islington so why not call it Islington edges ! London at its best with a complete mixture of subjects, from the death of a clown to a man made river, from a South African hero to Bob Dylan As usual there are blue plaques in abundance and a personal story that takes me back to my very early youth. Its a circular walk from Kings cross and back again taking over two hours but in that time we meet lots of the sort of characters and visit various places that helped make London the city we all love.

Screen Acting: Weekly Self Tape Practice
Screen Acting: Weekly Self Tape Practice
Weekly self tape practice for actors with Actorverse. www.actorverse.co.uk What do we do differently? In this Self Tape Practice we will explore and tape the scene section by section. This means we will break the scene down into units and tape each one. Reviewing and reflecting on choices openly, we will test new tactics and at the end of the process we record 2 full takes. This process allows actors to discover nuance rather than just receiving broad notes after a long read through. It's a more immersive, practical and actor-focused way of working that helps each actor truly unlock the scene. What to Expect: Live Coaching & Direction Reflect on choices, receive adjustments, and elevate your performance in the moment. On-Camera Practice Learn practical screen-acting techniques in a supportive, small-group setting. This is about growth and improving your skills as much as it is about walking away with a great tape. Professional Setup Film your scene using quality camera, good sound and right framing—no DIY guesswork, just results that look and feel professional. Receive Your Footage off-charge after the session Investment : £25 with own script (includes sent footage) | £29 with a provided script. Need help choosing your scene? – Please choose the right ticket option. We’ll provide a script that fits well for taping and showcases your ability. Simply let us know your playing age at the checkout and preferred genre. We encourage all actors to reflect openly on their work — what landed, what didn’t, and why. Optional Extra : Want a polished version of your best take? We offer professional editing that includes trimming, colour correction, and clean presentation (£10) Please arrive slightly earlier than the class start time so we begin on time. Thank you! www.actorverse.co.uk Follow us on Instagram: Actorverse_London

Everyone's talking about graphs now: What does Azure have to offer?
Everyone's talking about graphs now: What does Azure have to offer?
**Everyone's talking about graphs now: What does Azure have to offer?** Microsoft Fabric now has a built-in graph database. So do you still need Neo4j? In this session we put Fabric Graph and Neo4j Aura head to head. Not as a marketing exercise, but as a practical decision guide. We’ll cover where Fabric Graph earns its place as a zero-friction, OneLake-native option for connected data, and where Neo4j Aura pulls ahead on query maturity, algorithm depth, and production readiness. We’ll run the same problem through both platforms live, so you can see the real differences rather than just read a feature table. You’ll leave with a clear decision framework: when to use what’s already in your Fabric capacity, when to bring in the specialist, and why the answer is sometimes both. **About the Speaker** Sandy is a Principal Innovation Consultant at Acora (a title all the cool kids aspire to) and Databricks Champion. He’s passionate about technology and finding the best tool for the job. Having recently worked on a project building out a knowledge graph, he’s got the experience with Neo4j to really show the differences between where it wins and where fabric wins.

**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod. **YouTube Link** TBD
