We have a new program running on Thursdays 8:00pm-9:30pm from March 26th until May 28th: Casino Rueda! Also known as Rueda de Casino, this is a Cuban salsa dance style where a group of couples form a circle and execute synchronized salsa moves under the direction of a "caller". The classes are progressive, so we'll be looking for a commitment through payment for all classes, but please come join us for your first on March 26th and decide if you'd like to stay for the rest! Foxtrot is a smooth progressive dance. The music is similar to Swing music but slower and characterized by long and flowing movements across the dance floor. We will be learning an American Social Style Foxtrot which is more compact and can be danced at socials and party events. We will also learn to expand the movements to fit larger dance floors. We will cover basic patterns and men will learn how to lead using the ‘frame’ formed by the arms while women will learn how to respond and follow the lead and how to execute graceful and balanced turns. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions.
