FinFit Circle: Making Smart Money Decisions in Relationships
## **Making Smart Money Decisions in Relationships**
*Live expert discussion + facilitated breakout circles on 'Love & Money'*
RSVP (**https://luma.com/b3dphgts)**
Money is rarely just about numbers. It’s about who decides. Who carries responsibility. Who plans ahead — and who assumes things will work out.
This Valentine’s FinFit Circle session is ***for women who want to build relationships — new or ongoing — that are loving, fair, and financially secure***, without being naïve, pessimistic, or afraid to ask real questions.
Whether you’re dating, in a long-term commitment, separating, or starting again, this conversation helps you think clearly about money before emotions or circumstances decide for you.
***
## **What this session is really about**
This live FinFit Circle session explores how money shapes relationships in practice — through everyday decisions and conversations.
Together, we’ll look at:
* **Where money decisions actually get made** (often earlier than we think)
* **Which assumptions tend to create tension or imbalance over time**
* **Which questions, financial and legal arrangements, and boundaries matter most across different stages of relationships**, while you still have room to choose differently
***
## **Three expert lenses, one grounded conversation**
Money in relationships doesn’t sit in one domain — which is why this session brings together emotional, financial, and legal perspectives:
* **[Stephanie Clifford-Kroon](https://clifford-kroon-coaching.lovable.app/about)**, Certified Relationship Coach
* **[Nadam Schmidt](https://www.linkedin.com/in/nadamschmidt/)**, Certified Financial Planner
* **[Siham Maachi](https://silkadvocaten.nl/en/team/siham-maachi/)**, International Family Lawyer & Solicitor
***
## **What you’ll walk away with**
* **Clarity on your money patterns** and how they show up in relationships
* Key questions and **practical tips** **to discuss money constructively** with a (future) partner
* Ways to think about **shared vs individual finances**, including what’s smart, why, and tradeoffs
* **Legal realities** worth knowing early (agreements, rights, timing)
* **Perspective and connection** from women navigating similar questions
***
## **How the session works**
* **60-minute live fireside conversation**
* **30-minute interactive breakout circles** (4–6 women)
**Location:** FinFit Circle · Online
***
## **Contribution**
This session is **€30**.
If you’re able, you can **pay it forward** by sponsoring another woman’s place at the same introductory rate, helping keep these conversations accessible in the FinFit community.

Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area.
When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re all settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers. Once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session.
Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries!

Algorithmic Trading & Crypto
## (Lesson 2)
## What to expect
Project Equilibrium is an in-person introduction to disciplined, rule-based trading automation. This first event is designed to be clear, practical, and approachable no hype, no pressure, and no prior technical background required.
### Why we meet (two-session structure)
This meetup is structured as **two lessons**:
**Lesson 1 — The “Why” (mindset + framework)**
* What Project Equilibrium is (and what it is not)
* Why we focus on process, rules, and execution discipline
* What “24/7 execution” means in practice
* Q&A and open discussion
**Lesson 2 — The “How” (step-by-step setup)**
* A simple walkthrough of the basic tools you need
* Step-by-step guidance to install and prepare the required exchange apps/accounts
* A clear checklist to be ready for future sessions
(You won’t be left alone—everything is explained calmly and in order.)
### What to bring
To make the second lesson smooth, please bring:
* **A smartphone** (for authentication and exchange app setup)
* **A laptop** (for the setup steps and configuration)
If you only have one device, you can still join Lesson 1. The setup lesson is simply easier with both.
### Who this is for
* People curious about algorithmic execution and portfolio discipline
* Beginners who want a structured approach
* Experienced traders who want more consistency and less stress
### Agenda
* Welcome + introductions
* Lesson focus of the day (Why / How)
* Guided walkthrough (where applicable)
* Q&A + next steps
### How to find the group
* Arrive a few minutes early and look for the **Project Equilibrium** group.
* I will be there to welcome attendees if you’re unsure, simply ask the venue staff for the Meetup group name.

Arting at Elixer!
Hey! So yeah the idea is to meet up make some art and have a good time! It doesnt really matter what medium you choose or how good you think you are. The point is to be encouraged to take some time out of the week to make art, for whatever reason you do it for.
Im not associated to the restaurant Elixer by the way, its just my favorite one so I thought about doing it there. I think its a quirky and happy place. The address is Batjanstraat 1a.
Meetups charges me 46 a month to host the group and the events. If you can and you find value i this, then pelase send me a donation so I can continue to host these. If I make a profit from this, I thought about using it to muy some art materials and/or books to bring to the gatherings.
The Socrates Café — Sunday Morning at Motion Coffee
Philosophical discussions about fundamental human questions.
It’s not a lecture! It’s participants like you who make the discussion a success, organizers just facilitate it.
We bring our most puzzling questions - along with creativity, curiosity and genuine interest to enrich ourselves with perspectives of others. This usually makes Socrates Café event a truly inspiring one for people with very different backgrounds. We discuss, we inquire, we think aloud - respect is the main rule.
Here is a list of questions we have previously discussed:
[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/133sfywQ81G2jcQ4acXESK2-BCosHipvMNQ7w1pj1WL8/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/133sfywQ81G2jcQ4acXESK2-BCosHipvMNQ7w1pj1WL8/edit?usp=sharing)
Some practical stuff:
1. Everyone is welcome, but not all behaviours are welcome. If there is anything that may prevent you from participating in a respectful discussion, leave them outside before you come into the discussion. If you cannot do so, you will be asked to leave.
2. The cafe has reserved 2 tables for our event every week because we maintain a good relationship with the owner. We would appreciate it if you help us maintain that and be respectful of the space - please order something when you arrive, and leave the other tables free for other customers. If you are asked to leave the cafe, you will also be asked to leave the discussion. You are still welcome to participate in events elsewhere (the OBA, online) as long as the other moderators have no issue.
3. Please try to arrive on time so that you can participate in the whole discussion. If you are running late, please give us a heads up so we can hold your spot, otherwise it may be given to someone on the waitlist.
4. It is sometimes necessary to challenge others' ideas in the process - you are welcome to challenge ideas as long as it does not turn into something personal with the person who presented the idea. The format of the discussion is designed to minimize one-on-one debates so that the entire group can explore a question in a collaborative way.
You can read more background about Socrates Café in the meetup group description, and if you have any questions - feel free to ask!
See you soon!

* Person middle front is a setter. Setter is responsible for the 2nd ball (always!).
* Front right and left are attackers: spike the ball andjump for block when the other team is spiking.
* Person middle back row is moved forward, to the centre of the field. This person is responsible for the short balls around 3m line, drops behind the block or balls blocked from own team spike.
* Left and right person in the back are responsible for longer balls, balls from spikes, receiving serves etc."
Music Improvisation Workshop
Are you ready to blast past the limitations of a jam session? Are you ready to extract every drop of musical creativity? This workshop is for those who are ready to risk putting everything that goes in their brains out there in musical form! After this workshop, you're never going to look at music the same way!
More than a jam, the Jam With Humans workshop is a workshop on how to jam. Your teacher Daniel Matias Ferrer will guide you through exercises on musical improvisation and creativity. In a typical workshop, we start by getting to know each other and why we came to the workshop. Then, we warm-up by allowing ourselves to be silly and childishly curious, usually via theatrical exercises. At this point, we replace the verbal component of these exercises by improvised music. We proceed with exercising our skills in coming up with musical ideas, transferring them and listening to the ideas of others, and finish the session with one big jam.
**The Jam With Humans Workshops are free to join. A (voluntary) contribution will be requested at the end of the session for helping with production costs (suggested €20).**
**🤔FAQ🤔**
**Should I bring an instrument?**
If you can, please bring your instrument. PARLOUR AMSTERDAM will be equipped with a bass and two guitar amplifiers, a drum set and a PA system with as many vocal microphones as we’d like to use.
**I’m a beginner, can I join?**
Yes! The workshop is for everyone: we’ll be able to use whatever sounds you can produce plus all your knowledge of music (both from listening and playing) to explore how they can be used creatively in an improvisational setting. The workshop is also a safe space, so don’t be shy in taking risks musically, we have your back!
**I’m a professional, should I join?**
Absolutely! Given that the workshop is about improvisation and creativity, chances are you’ll be faced with exercises that allow you to explore your instrument in ways you never thought about before. Plus, you’ll be practicing mechanisms of being able to improvise with anyone else, in different instruments and with different musical sensibilities.
**How often should I participate?**
As often as you want! The workshops are weekly (or fortnightly during summer time) and their syllabus is circular. All workshops are different and it’s recommended that you come to at least three before you make up your mind about them. Otherwise, show up as often as you want: every week, every two weeks, many workshops in a row and then none for a few months…
There is only one catch: those who come often will be invited eventually to join The Jam With Humans Orchestra in a separate rehearsal and join our Jam With Humans live shows. Also, those who come really often (regularly for over a year), will be invited to teach workshops themselves, as that’s a fundamental part of the Jam With Humans pedagogical ethos.
**Does everyone have to participate, or can I just watch?**
Everyone has to participate! If you’re in the room, you’ll have to participate. No observers! Again: we get your back, no worries. Hold our hand and be ready to dive into the world of improvised music, we’ll be there to help you through the journey.
**What style do we play?**
Whatever you’d like to play. Musical styles, musical genres, those are words which tend to not be imposed to the workshop participants. The goal of the workshop is to harness whatever is your musical language and sensibility to better cooperate with others in an improvisational context.
**Is there anything I should do to prepare?**
Actively listen to a lot of music. Sit down and think of what went through the musicians/composers heads that lead to what you are listening to. If you’re looking for inspiration, start with one of the three big influences on the Jam With Humans musical improvisation style: John Zorn, Sun Ra, Frank Zappa.

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games!
The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime!
Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
