Hello piano players: Our next meeting will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at my house, 5612 Cromwell Drive, Bethesda, MD 20816. We will start at 2:00 pm. Also, reach out to a friend and work up a duet – they are fun and always welcome. In the past we have had duets with two pianos, with singers, and with the clarinet, and they bring a nice variety of music to our meetings. We will have snacks, finger food, light drinks, beer and wine, but your donations of food and drink are always welcome. Parking is on the street near my house. I hope to see you on April 26th. Have you ever wished you could sing with more confidence? **Ready, Set, Sing!** is a fun, beginner-friendly series of three evenings designed to help you discover your voice in a relaxed and welcoming group. Hosted by the Fairfax Jubil-Aires at our regular rehearsal location, these **free singing lessons** are open to anyone—no experience, auditions, or music reading required. Our award-winning director, Richard Lewellen, will guide you through simple vocal techniques, warm-ups, and group singing that make it easy and enjoyable to participate. Many people come “just to watch”… and end up singing before the night is over! Forro For Fun & Samba For Smiles 😃 Live Music Special Guest: Leo Gama 💥We put FUN in fundraiser with forro! Get into this fun event and feel the warmth of a Brazilian embrace. Wanna dance, join in a fantastic forro lesson and then test your moves on the floor. Brazilian singer and musician Leo Gama will get you grooving so bring your dancing shoes. Spring fever is burning 🔥 up DC! Leo Gama gets you to your feet with authentic Brazilian forro, samba and mpb. This event is open to to all, so join the fun. Doors open at 1:30pm followed by terrific dance lessons. This event is family friendly so bring friends and your tots too. Try beginners samba de gafieira at 3pm. More experienced dancers can get in for the special Intermediate level samba de gafieira lesson at 1:45pm. Leo Gama takes the show by storm at 4:30pm so bring your dancing shoes. Drinks and snacks are included too. $15 A portion of the proceeds go to support Afro Bahia Fest 2026 and DC's local music community

Community Drumming experience with Shamanic drums/Tambour Unis-Son/ Tambour Unité and Mother drum. We also have extra hand drums for people who like to joint us. Don’t forget we are ourselves a drum. Come and joint us for a time to relax, reflect with the beat of your heart.
