Hello everyone! đ
My name is Sohyeon, and I currently live in France.
I've been teaching Korean since the Covid period, and like many of you, I love learning languages.
I currently speak and study:
đ«đ· French
đŹđ§ English
đ·đș Russian
đšđł Chinese
đŻđ” Japanese
While learning and teaching languages, I've often asked myself several questions:
đ€ What if someone wants to learn a new language but doesn't have much time?
đ€ How can children or people who struggle with reading learn a language effectively?
đ€ How can we create an environment where people can actually speak the language they are learning?
đ€ How can learners gain confidence while learning a language?
đ€ Is it possible to teach entirely in the target language while making sure students understand everything?
---
âš These questions inspired me to create my own learning program.
A program different from what you usually find in traditional textbooks.
The goal is simple:
đ°đ· Learn Korean by using Korean from day one.

đ€ Build a community where everyone can learn and grow together.
---

* Dutch
* English
* French
* Italian
* Spanish
* Turkish\*
* German\*
* Portuguese\*
* Danish\*
* Norwegian\*
* Russian\*
* Arabic\*
* Chinese\*\*

Disconnect & Connect in Nature
Iâm putting together a small hike trip weekend in Hoorneboegse heide in Hilversum, the idea is to come with a few people who want to step out of their routine, spend time in nature, and meet others in a relaxed way.
This is not a tour or a structured retreat.
The idea is simple step out of your comfort and everyday life to reconnect with nature and with each other. We will
â explore the beautiful nature
â share a few moments together
â and keep things easy and natural
There will be time together (walks and sunset).
Group size will be small (around 2- 4 people), to keep it comfortable and personal.
This Meetup is to connect people who are interested in real and human connection
If this resonates, feel free to join and Iâll share more details đ
AI Agents: Test or Trust?
**The Agent Who Tested Me: Behavioral Testing for AI Skills**
**Software engineering in the age of AI agents: whoâs in control?**
Welkom in moderne software engineering.

*Please note: this meetup will be held in English.*
In this first meet up, you will be shown a set of immersive artistic and design research experiments.
Project Thuis conducts two years of artistic and design research into immersive experiences that place the body at the centre. The central question is: "How can immersive experiences in (semi-)public spaces contribute to a sense of connection, belonging, and 'feeling at home'?
To explore this, a multidisciplinary consortium consisting of [Fillip Studios,](https://www.fillipstudios.com/) [affect lab,](https://www.affectlab.org/) [Introdans,](https://introdans.nl/) [Utrecht University,](https://www.uu.nl/staff/SPonzanesi) and the [Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences,](https://civicinteractiondesign.com/) has embarked on a creative journey together.

Driving is the best option. There is plenty of free on-site parking. Otherwise, we are a 22 minute bus from the Vienna Metro Station. Bicycling from Vienna is possible but difficult, though once you are here, there's a bike rack in the garage behind the building, and there's also a Capital Bikeshare dock 15 min walk away.

Intro to Coding
A beginner-friendly coding program designed to teach rapidly growing, in-demand programming languages like Python to the next generation. Registration required.
This workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of coding through fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand activities. Using simple, interactive examples, the program helps students build confidence in STEM
while making coding more accessible for beginners, especially those who lack guidance or resources at home.
The library will have limited availability of Chromebooks. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices, like their school-issued tablets or computers.
RSVPing on Meetup does not register you with Prince William Public Libraries. To register, please [click here](https://pwcgov.libnet.info/event/16316047).
Build a Reasoning Model (from Scratch)
Join us for another session of our study group as we cover the book Build a Reasoning Model (from Scatch). In this session, we will cover Chapter 3 titled "Evaluating Reasoning Models", where we learn how to build methods for evaluating the responses of an LLM.
This isn't just a lecture! Come ready to ask questions, share insights, and code along. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this is the perfect opportunity to continue to learn together. If you plan to work with the code on your own laptop during the session, try and download the code from it's GitHub repository at https://github.com/rasbt/reasoning-from-scratch ahead of time.
Learn all things Data Science and Compete on Kaggle
We will be meeting at Starbucks to learn together. Come with an online class you're already going through or an interest and we will try to connect you with a course where you can learn it. Already have a skill you want to contribute to a Kaggle Datascience competition? We will work on these too! Laptop required :)
Loudoun Dev Group 006
Join our new groupâs fourth meeting. Meet fellow tech enthusiasts west of the beltway.
âOur meetings are a great place to work on and show off what you do. We are always welcoming.
âOur format is great for people who have started on but not finished one or several side projects.
âWe will start off with basic introductions and what we are working on, along with what our goals are for the session. Weâll break the rest of the meeting into two working sessions. In between, weâll do a quick check-in to see how folks are going.
We also have some polls available which we use to shape our events:

Learn Meditation and Stress Management in MD
Learn to manage stress and achieve self-growth through simple relaxation and Meditation.
Heartfulness Meditation is a simple, modern, methodical approach to meditation. Rather than homing in on your breath or repeating a mantra, you simply focus inward, on your heart, to cultivate inner strength and serenity. Heartfulness meditation is gaining traction in recent years. It focuses on the heart, allowing individuals to connect with themselves on a deeper level, and ultimately achieve peace, relaxation, and clarity. It is a practice that encourages patience, self-compassion, and acceptance, helping cultivate a deeper appreciation for the present moment.
This practice is offered with love and at no cost

**Tech Talk: Secure Developer Environments in the Age of AI Agents**
**Speaker:** Patrick Brown (Coder)
**Abstract:** Federal engineering teams are under pressure to ship faster while meeting some of the most demanding security and compliance requirements in the world. In this talk, Patrick Brown of Coder explores how cloud development environments (CDEs) give agencies a foundation to accelerate software delivery without sacrificing control â and why that foundation matters even more as AI-powered coding agents enter the workflow. He'll cover how CDEs keep source code off endpoints, enforce zero-trust access patterns, and provide the consistent, ephemeral infrastructure that both human developers and AI agents need to operate safely at scale.
**Speakers:**
Stay tuned as we are updating speakers and schedules.
If you have a keen interest in speaking to our community, we invite you to submit topics for consideration: [Submit Topics](https://forms.gle/JkMt91CZRtoJBSFUA)
