Personal Values & Integrity, The Importance Of.
If you are honest with yourself and with others, you can't help but do well in life. A relationship exists between your own self-respect - how you look at your own personal values - and how successful you are. A person who is honest, outspoken and respects himself will get more done and accomplish his goals far easier than someone who is dishonest, introverted and withdrawn.
Now you will learn the underlying reasons why people withdraw from others and life or feel a loss of personal integrity.
HERMETIC ORDER of the RED DRAGON
Ritual starts at 7pm - please arrive between 6.30pm & 7pm.
**ONLY INITIATED MEMBERS MAY ATTEND**. Click here for details on how to become a member **[https://esotericbookshop.org/hermetic-order-of-the-red-dragon/](https://esotericbookshop.org/hermetic-order-of-the-red-dragon/)**
The whole point of **HORD** is to become ***enlightened*** and to do this by rending apart the ***Veil of Illusion*** leaving the way clear to achieving the ***Knowledge and Conversation of your Holy Guardian Angel***. This is done by 'Solve et Coagula' in Alchemical terms. You undergo a series of challenges that essentially help you pull yourself apart, realise which parts of yourself you have created as an ***'illusion'***, and change that ‘illusion’ so that you can reassemble yourself in a better and more perfect way. ***HORD doesn’t do it. You do it***. But you have the rest of the group to support and back you up as we all go through the process together.
Rending the Veil is a ‘profound’ experience. We don’t let go of our illusions easily. The whole process consists of finding your ‘illusions’ and seeing them for what they are – unreal. There is a simple test to check if you’ve found an illusion. **Emotion**. ***If something makes you laugh, cry, get pissed off – congratulations; you’ve found one***.
Enlightened Buddhists, when they find another illusion, roll around laughing for hours and hours and hours. In fact, people like the ***Dalai Lama*** spend most of the day rolling around in laughter – the more enlightened you are – the more illusions you find.
… the unenlightened just get pissed off.
The Hermetic Order of the Red Dragon (HORD) is a ceremonial magic group that evolved from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (GD). For more information:

April Book of the month - Project Hail Mary
Book Club: [Project Hail Mary](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54493401) by Andy Weir
Wake up in a room where you don’t know your own name, surrounded by high-tech machinery and two corpses, and you’ll understand the pulse-pounding start of Project Hail Mary. This gripping sci-fi epic follows Ryland Grace, a disgraced molecular biologist turned middle-school science teacher who finds himself as the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission to save humanity. With the sun’s energy being devoured by a mysterious interstellar parasite, Earth is sprinting toward a literal ice age, and Grace is the only one left to find the cure.
As Grace slowly recovers his memories through a series of fragmented flashbacks, he realizes the staggering weight of his responsibility. But he soon discovers he isn’t as alone as he thought. In the vast, silent vacuum of space, he encounters an unexpected ally—a fellow traveler from another star system facing the exact same extinction event. What follows is a brilliant, heart-wrenching, and often humorous partnership that transcends language, biology, and light-years.
Weaving together hard science with a deeply moving story of sacrifice, Project Hail Mary explores the power of friendship and the sheer ingenuity of the living mind. Weir creates a narrative that is as much about the "Eurekas" of physics and chemistry as it is about the courage required to face the unknown. It is a cinematic, high-stakes journey that asks what we owe to our species, to our friends, and to the strangers we meet in the dark.
Discussion Points:
• The Ethics of Necessity: How do the flashbacks to the "Project Hail Mary" task force change your perception of Ryland Grace’s heroism? Is the forced sacrifice of one or few justified to save the many?
• The Language of Science: Grace and his companion use the "universal language" of math and science to communicate. How does this shared logic bridge the gap between two vastly different cultures and biologies?
• The Nature of Memory: How does the non-linear storytelling—revealing Grace’s past as he lives his present—affect the tension of the novel? Does his character growth feel earned as he remembers his "cowardice"?
• Solitude vs. Connection: At its core, is this a story about the isolation of space, or the impossibility of true isolation when there is someone else to help?
• The Ending: Discuss the final choice Ryland Grace makes. Did he find a new sense of belonging, or was his decision driven by a lingering sense of duty to his friend?

Unrealistic Expectations: Improv Speaking Games for Business & Life
**Unrealistic Expectations** is an entertaining, slightly chaotic evening of business and life related improv speaking games designed to help you practise action over certainty. Sign up as an audience member or a speaker, both are fun and packed full of laughs.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "This was a safe environment to fail."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Audience reactions are hilarious."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I learnt that it was not as scary as I thought."
**6:30** Arrival + Drinks
**7:00** Games Begin
**8:15** Wrap Up + Hangout
❓ **Why we do this**
Entrepreneurs are often told their ideas are unrealistic.
Too big. Too early. Too hard. This night is for people who feel that fear and want to build the courage to act before they have all the answers.
**Volunteers get 1-4 minutes to talk on wacky topics:**
* Pitching a slide deck they have never seen before
* Taking questions from the audience on a topic they know nothing about
* Being handed a random object from the office and explaining your "revoulutionary discovery"
* Explaining a graph that has no numbers or legend
* *More "fun" and chaotic games to come...*
**Spectators get front row seats to:**
* Brave attempts and clever recoveries
* Watch brilliance appear under pressure
* The exact moment someone realises they are more capable than they thought
* And...comedy gold!
🎲 **How the night works**
Some people will step up. Some people will sit back and enjoy the show. Both are welcome. You don’t have to participate but most people end up tempted as the night goes on.
We’ll rotate through a variety of short games across the evening. Each one stretches a different entrepreneurial muscle:
• Thinking out loud
• Explaining half-formed ideas
• Handling pressure
• Committing before certainty
😉At the end of the night, one brave participant will receive a completely meaningless but highly coveted honour.
👀 **Who this is for**
• People building something and tired of waiting until they feel ready
• Anyone who wants to build the courage to act before they have clarity
You don’t need confidence
You don’t need experience
You just need a willingness to give-it-a-go
**Because most worthwhile things start with unrealistic expectations.**
The Key To Making Money - Free Talk
Why do we find it hard to make money, while others are flourishing and prospering?
Is it just that some were born lucky? No.
Do some people just have a natural talent? No.
It comes down to the art of communication. One's ability to communicate will determine how successful one will be, not only in business, but life as a whole.
We will be covering different avenues of communication, and what you can do to bring change to your life.
-------
The talk will go for roughly 45 mins, give or take. We will then proceed to do a Personality Test which will really break down what areas in your life you are lacking in, and can then get the appropriate tools to assist you.

Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future. Even when you think you've moved on, the negative emotions can be triggered, sending you back into the pain of that experience.
And we are talking about pain; emotions such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear (or terror), boiling anger, simmering resentment, feelings of shame, blaming and regret can leave you incapacitated to a greater or lesser degree.
In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again.
Examples of painful experiences include:
* A broken relationship or divorce.
* Death or loss of a loved one.
* Death of a pet.
* A sudden shock or bad news.
* A betrayal.
* Being part of an abusive relationship.
* A bad injustice.
* Loss of a job, position or business.
* A grave illness or injury.
The negative emotions from these experiences don't just go away on their own. But the good news is there is a way to clear them out of your way.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Summer Social: Let's kick off summer with Adult field day at Shadybowl! FREE
We’re bringing back Adult Field Day.
Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows.
You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to.
The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up.
If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening.
Bring:
* Please Bring Something to share for the potluck cookout

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
