Living Diversity - Nonviolent Communication weekly course in English in Zürich
\>\>\>\>\>\>\> All Info and registration here: https://interbeing\.ch/living\-diversity/
**– *Understand our differences and connect in conflict* –**
In this course, we explore together how we can be with each other in our differences. We learn how to communicate more effectively with our loved ones, colleagues and even with people who share opposite opinions.
* How can I feel understood, even when you see things differently?
* How can I connect with people who think, feel, or live differently from me?
* How to navigate conflict without losing myself or the other?
* How to meet diversity with curiosity instead of fear?
Before connecting with others, we get to know ourselves: Find out what is behind our triggers and judgments, identify our feelings and needs. This inner clarity strengthens our self empowerment and the ability to meet others on eye level instead of betraying ourself, giving up our wishes, or dominating the conversation. We learn to better understand each other in our differences and invite cooperation.
We explore movements beyond polarizing debates, while staying true to ourselves, so we can belong a bit more rather than merely fit in.
## We research how to:
* Listen more deeply to ourself and gain inner clarity about our needs and what really matters to us
* Realise when we need self care before connecting with others
* Find inner clarity when we’re triggered
* Stand honestly for our needs, express our wishes and invite cooperation
* Grow capacity in understanding other viewpoints
* See the beautiful messages behind our judgments and the judgments of others
* Be in conflict with care and connection
**Facilitation Style:**
During each session, we offer theoretical input, live demonstrations, group discussions, and two to three guided exercises.
We share insights and tips inspired by Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by [Yoram Mosenzon](https://www.connecting2life.net/trainer/yoram-mosenzon/) and Marshall Rosenberg. But foremost we invite you to find your own way. To develop your own communication style with your inner parts and your fellow humans.
Part of the sessions will be shaped by the wishes and interests of the group. We might offer themed evenings that dive deeper into specific areas of diversity where staying connected can be difficult (such as race, gender, sexual orientation, neurodivergence, mental health, illness and disability, diet, relationship styles, cultural background, political views, and our ways of relating to money and consumption,…) or explore more depth some conflict situation. You’re warmly invited to bring your personal situations so we can work with concrete, lived experiences.

Fearless Living
**Fear is a Gift Waiting to be Unwrapped**
Many of us find ourselves stuck in situations that drain our happiness, yet we can’t seem to gather the momentum to break free. It could be an unhealthy relationship, a job that leaves you unfulfilled, social anxiety, or the relentless grip of worry. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—millions, if not billions, of people face the same struggles.
But here’s the interesting part—fear loses its grip the moment you confront it. The more closely you examine it, the weaker it becomes. Fear thrives in the shadows, and once exposed to light, it begins to dissolve.
I invite you to join me for a few hours of practical learning where we’ll explore techniques to help you take charge of your fears. Together, we’ll fast-track your progress by sharing tools and insights that I’ve gathered
through personal experience—lessons learned the hard way.
**Fearless Living** was created as a space for us to tackle our fears head-on. Through regular workshops, we teach participants how to recognize, manage, and reduce the impact of fear so it no longer stands in the way of living fully.
Let me be clear—I’m not a therapist, psychologist, or any kind of professional “-ist.” I’m simply someone who has wrestled with fear and come out the other side with insights to share. This event isn’t designed for those dealing with severe trauma or crisis, but for those ready to take that first step toward breaking free from the everyday fears that hold us back.
If you’re ready to loosen fear’s hold on your life, I’d love for you to join us.
**Feedback from previous workshop attendees:**
[https://www.meetup.com/living-without-fear/feedback-overview/](https://www.meetup.com/living-without-fear/feedback-overview/)
**Jafar** \- "Rocco embodies a wealth of practical experiences in truly living life\. In this event\, he explores one of the most fundamental human emotions: fear\, and inspires us on how to live fearlessly\. His preparation and engaging workshop include practical exercises that empower participants\. If you are on the path of self\-awareness\, this workshop is an invaluable opportunity to join\."
**Nadima** \- "Brainstorm was very interesting\! It started like any other creative meeting\- whiteboard markers in hand\. The goal? The ideas felt safe\. We started asking real questions\. The brainstorm turned into a kind of therapy\. Vulnerability became the source of our most powerful ideas\. What made that brainstorm unforgettable wasn‘t the outcome\- it was the shift\. Sometimes\, solving the problem means confronting what we never thought to name\."
**Mark** \- "I really connected to Rocco and he helped in giving me tools to face my fears\. A great workshop\."
**Kenny** \- "The workshop truly empowered me to analyze my fear of public speaking and provided strategies for overcoming it\."
**Nico** \- "Thanks for doing this\. I perceived your workshop as very useful with practical techniques that participants can apply without any prior knowledge\. Also\, you are clearly very passionate and competent about fear and ways to deal with it\. I'm looking forward to applying your techniques\!"
**Kai** \- "Rocco knows his stuff\. He is able to create an atmosphere where it feels natural to talk about such an intimate topic as your personal fear\. I learned a lot\, about fear and about myself\!"
**J.K.** \- "The topics we discussed resonated with me and I felt totally safe and relaxed to hear what bothered me\. Helpful and gives that kick to start acting for the better"\.
**J. Zhu** \- "Everything you said in the workshop resonated with me\."\.
**Alex** \- "You don't know what you walk into but it doesn't disappoint\. Rocco provides a unique atmosphere that encourages self\-reflection and taking action\."
**Agi** \- "Thank you for providing us a great workshop\! I really enjoyed\, and I think it has a great relevance in my life\, as well as in many other people's life\. 'On the spot' target to do a WS about\!"

B.I.T.CH H3 - The Dark Side of Urdorf
Start, bag drop and on-after at our favourite Urdorf hang-out, 5 min from Urdorf SBB station.
ZH3 Hash # 1712: Lion’s Hash, Epic Furry (Social Running/Walking/Drinking)
Hare (someone to set the route) is Granny Muff. Come join us!
Car bag drop A to B - your bag will be at B along with some of the best Pizza in town, not far from A.
**Where**:
See location. ‘Hard’bridge station - car park of Restaurant Rosso. Look for English speakers wearing running gear.
**When:**
We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

Potomac Heritage- Goose Creek to Bles Park (Rating: C)
You must read the following NVHC Sign-in Sheet Statement/Liability Disclaimer, [https://nvhc.com/signin.pdf](https://nvhc.com/signin.pdf) and then answer the question that you will see when you RSVP with "I accept" to be permitted on the hike.
This is an 8.8 mile with 75 ft elevation out and back hike on the Potomac Heritage Trail in Loudoun County. On this hike we'll experience scenic Goose Creek as it flows into the expanse of the Potomac. There is also a lot of history as we hike along the ruins of the Goose Creek Canal ( see the background information below) and Selden Island which is privately owned and is known for it's prehistoric archaeological sites dating back to 1000BC.
We will begin at Riverpoint Drive trailhead (Porta Potty is available) and follow Goose Creek and then the Potomac to our turnaround at Bles Park where there are restrooms.
**Background History**: In 1849, construction began on a system of locks and dams to render the Goose Creek navigable up to three large mills in the Loudoun Valley. By 1845, the [Goose Creek and Little River Navigation Company](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Goose_Creek_and_Little_River_Navigation_Company&action=edit&redlink=1) canal system had been completed on Goose Creek to Ball's (Evergreen) Mill, 12 miles (19 km) upstream from the mouth. Though the lower portion of the canal saw significant usage, only one boat was ever known to have traveled the whole stretch, and by 1857 the canal was put out of business by the completion of the [Alexandria, Loudoun and Hampshire Railroad](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_and_Old_Dominion_Railroad) to Leesburg. Most of the locks and dams were destroyed by the [Union Army](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Army) during the [Civil War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Civil_War).
We hike at a pace of \~ 2.5 mph while moving. You must have experience with hikes of this length and elevation gain.
Meet at the Riverpoint Drive Trailhead at 8:45am for sign-in. Restroom (Porta Potty) is available at the Trailhead
Dogs are welcome on this hike in accordance with the NVHC Dog Policy. [https://tinyurl.com/nvhcdogpolicyhttps://tinyurl.com/nvhcdogpolic](https://tinyurl.com/nvhcdogpolicy)

SNP Dickey Ridge Blooms 3.5 Mi 600 Ft Moderate Hike
This Shenandoah National Park out-and-back hike starts at the Dickey Ridge Trailhead before reaching the North Entrance pay station. A pretty stream runs parallel with the trail for about a mile until we begin an ascent to our turn around point where the trail again intersects with Skyline Drive. At this time of year, we should see early spring flowers! Sections of the trail are rocky, and there are several very small “rock hop” water crossings. Elevation gain is about 600 ft. We typically hike about 2 mph; however, we leave no one behind and will move at a pace that is comfortable for all. Breaking for flower photos is encouraged!
**Group Size:** 20 hikers
**Time to Meet:** Please meet 15-20 minutes prior to hike start for introductions and liability waiver sign in.

**Meeting Location/Parking:** 17065 Skyline Drive, Front Royal, VA
There is ample shoulder parking on both sides of Skyline Drive adjacent to the marked Dickey Ridge Trailhead although carpooling is encouraged to conserve spots. Heading south on Skyline Drive, the trailhead is on the right BEFORE the Front Royal/North Entrance Pay Station.
**Facilities:** No restroom is available at the trailhead.
