Shake & Bops
Personally, I think this is the best kept secret in Leesburg. During the week, the owner rents out her cafe for private events, but on the weekends, itâs a cozy botanical cafe where you can get a beautiful plant to bring home after a good convo over a latte. In warmer weather, thereâs a hidden patio in the back, where you can enjoy some tree-shaded privacy. Limited pastries and seating, but plenty of parking in the town garage across the street. Please join me, and add this to your itinerary next time youâre in Leesburg.
Circlesinging Together ** Elwood Smith Community Center, Rockville **
We are meeting in person at Elwood Smith Community Center, Rockville!
\*\*\*
The community-singing event where where everything's made up and the point â to sing for our lives â matters.
Our leaders will teach you parts to sing for spontaneously-composed choral pieces. We play a variety of listening/music/singing games, and create safe opportunities for participants to improvise as little or as much as they might like.
Good for all skill levels, shower-singers to seasoned pros, no sheet-music-reading required.
\*\*\*
We usually meet on the second Sunday of the month, and will continue to meet in-person as long as it makes sense. We encourage and provide masks.
We will also plan on continuing our Zoom circles from time to time. So please check the day before/day of the meetup each month to confirm date & details.
This world needs more song; join in the fun, and be the music you want to hear in the world.
Hope to see you there!

The đ Rock-A-Sonics đ Blast into Bethesda
A favorite of the DMVâs swing dance community, the Rock-A-Sonics play a mix of Rockabilly, 50âs rock and country, and Western swing. Frontman Willie Barryâs pure tenor is accompanied by a group of very talented musicians.
Tommy Joeâs in downtown Bethesda occupies the second and third floor of corner building. Bands play the second floor and thereâs no cover. Itâs easily accessible by metro or car (I use parking garage 36 Auburn-Del Ray).
Keeton @ Rai's!!!
Here's a winner for you - KEETON!!!!
Last fall Keeton opened for Smash Mouth at Reston Town Center pavilion. They are so much fun and bring the high, positive energy with every song!

Simply Social - Reston
We had a great conversation the last time we went here. For everyone attending this was a new find, a cafe tucked away on the upper level, not immediately noticeable by the average visitor to this shopping center. Iâll probably have a matcha, but get whatever you like, and start the weekend off right.
(No discussions on politics, religion or potentially controversial topics. We're here to relax and have fun. Just be respectful and we'll be alright. Pay your own way, and enjoy!)
