š„¾ **Christmas Eve Walk & Social ā South Bank, Royal Parks & Kensington Gardens** and post walk Drinks š·
Celebrate the festive season with a joyful **Christmas Eve social walk** through some of **Londonās most iconic landmarks and royal parks**. Starting from **Waterloo Station**, weāll follow the **South Bank** past the Thamesā festive lights before crossing **Westminster Bridge** to admire **Big Ben** and the **Houses of Parliament**.
From here, we wander through **St Jamesās Park**, one of Londonās oldest royal parks, home to pelicans, lakes, and stunning palace views. Continuing west, our path leads into **Hyde Park** and **Kensington Gardens**, where weāll pass the glittering **Kensington Palace** ā the residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Weāll finish at **Paddington Station, where you can join us for optional festive drinks at **The Sir Alexander Fleming** 5 Merchant Sq, Paddington Basin, London W2 1AS, close to the station, the perfect place to toast the holidays with fellow hikers and new friends.

Walk length 5miles/8km approx. Linear.
A short walk exploring a section of the Regent's Canal from King's Cross to Paddington Basin.
There are a number of features on this walk including Camden lock and a very classy pub stop at the end at Paddington Basin.
Please note there may be some canal detours depending on any engineering work or building development.

Okay, you (at least some of you) asked for it ā here it is...
**"An Evening with DXO Labs (NIK Collection 8)"**
For many, many years, the NIK Collection of photo editing tools has been the coveted add-on of choice for many photographers. To know the story of the NIK Collection is to know happiness, angst, celebration, and innovation. But more of that at the meeting!
I will spend a couple of hours going through the most useful tools in the NIK Collection and showing how I use them in my editing workflow. If you aspire to elevate your editing skills and produce better-edited images, this set of tools is worth a look!

Previous Photoshoot Images (iPhone images and Christmas Cards). If anyone has images they would like critiqued, please provide them at the beginning of the meeting.
Providing Images for Critique:
For now, I will collect images at the beginning of the meeting on a USB memory stick. My computer has USB-C ports, so a USB-C memory stick or one with dual (USB-C / USB-A) ports will be needed.
Images should follow these format rules:
JPG - 80% quality or higher
132 dpi resolution
2048 pixels across the long edge
Embedded colorspace - sRGB
Photoshop Bootcamp (Session 01 of 02)
The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop is an intensive training course designed to quickly teach participants the fundamentals and intermediate skills needed to use Adobe Photoshop effectively. This workshop condenses the material covered in introductory and intermediate Photoshop courses into a shorter, information-packed weekend.
Participants will learn to navigate the Photoshop workspace, use tools for retouching and color correction, and manipulate layers and adjustment layers. The workshop also emphasizes practical, hands-on experience with real-world image editing and compositing projects.
The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop will follow the outline below:

The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop is a hands-on workshop, and example files and materials are made available to each participant. Each participant is required to have a computer available for use throughout the workshop. That computer must be adequately configured to run the latest version of Photoshop available in Adobe's Creative Cloud software suite (as of the time of this document, that version is Photoshop 2025 (Version 26.9.0)). Photoshop should be installed and operational before the commencement of the workshop. There is a fee of $400 per person associated with this workshop. The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop comprises two sessions (Session 01, November 22nd, and Session 02, November 23rd). The $400 fee covers participation in both sessions.
For scheduling purposes, on Meetup.com, the workshop is broken up into two (2) sessions. You only need to sign up for Session 01 (November 22nd), you will AUTOMATICALLY be signed up for Session 02 (November 23rd).
