StitchUp Meetups
**Welcome to StitchUp** – a welcoming social group that embraces individuals of all skill levels, providing a shared space for crafting in a social setting.
**Bring your current project**, whether it's knitting, quilting, embroidery, or any other textile craft. Work on your project or piece while having a chat with us. Some people knit, some people mend or just join the conversations. If you are starting new, I’m sure we can give you tips, but generally this is not a class or workshop and you will have to bring your own materials.
Also keep in mind that we sometimes don't have a table, so something that requires table space might be difficult to do.
**Background** – StitchUp began among friends with a shared love for textile crafts, evolving into a thriving group with regular meetups. Unfortunately, the group faced a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic but we would now like to revive these regular meetings in a social, in-person setting.

OPENING NIGHT: THE COACHING CLUB - coach and be coached in a creative space
**A one-off special to launch a new series of events 🎉**
**(Update:** We have now scheduled our regular events, you can find all the details and get tickets **[here](https://www.tickettailor.com/events/alltogether)**.)
Jude & Bonny are collaborating to bring coaching to **everyone**.
Why? **Full story on [Substack.](https://open.substack.com/pub/experimentsingroupwisdom/p/create-the-event-you-wish-existed)**
In brief, they believe:
* Coaching can be life enhancing, inspiring, creative, and fun
* Everyone can learn coaching skills
* Having the experience of both coaching and being coached is doubly valuable
* Peer-to-peer connections are special :-)
**At THE COACHING CLUB, we will:**
* Learn a new skill (drawing on Jude’s expertise and experience as a coach)
* See how it works in a short demo
* Practice in pairs
* Shuffle the pairs
* Reflect together
Jude and Bonny will guide the process, but you will also receive a tiny booklet for illustration (a Zine by [LESS STRESS PRESS](https://www.instagram.com/lessstresspress))
For this OPENING NIGHT SPECIAL we will share a method of discovering “life as a garden” 👀
**NOTES ON THE GENERAL ATMOSPHERE:**
Although we’ll be learning new skills we'll also be aiming to have an enjoyable evening, with good humour and fun. This will be less like school and more like a thoughtful and interactive evening in a pub.
**WHO SHOULD COME:**
Everyone! We believe that the more perspectives, the richer the experience. This group is not about being experts, it is about thinking creatively together and learning new ways to create space for one another.
**WHERE WE’LL MEET:**
This event will be at the Earl of Lonsdale Pub on Portobello. The nearest Tube station is Notting Hill Gate.
(Future, smaller events will be in a different pub. You can find them [here](https://www.tickettailor.com/events/alltogether).)
**YOUR HOSTS:**
**Jude** is an experienced NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner and utilises NLP tools and techniques when she coaches. She offers 1:1 sessions, with the first Introductory Session completely free with no obligations - [www.judewattscoaching.co.uk](http://www.judewattscoaching.co.uk)
**Bonny** is just starting her training as a coach. While in training, she's offering free and low cost sessions (first three sessions free, after that £15) - [www.bonnyastor.com/coaching](https://www.bonnyastor.com/coaching)

Tall Persons Meet up in a pub to talk, drink, eat and make new friends
Hello fellow tallies, **and by tallies we mean women over 5\`9 and men over 6\`2**. This is the one chance a month for us to meet up in person literally face to face in London.
We are moving back to our old central London meeting place at **The Marlborough Arms** for a few months.
**The Marlborough Arms is at 36 Torrington Pl, London WC1E 7LY**. It is
Just a few minutes from Goodge Street tube station and a 10 minute walk from Tottenham Court Road, Russell Square and Euston Square tube stations.
**The Tall Persons Club have been meeting in London on the last Friday of every month for over 30 years** so there tends to be more people there than just who is on this Meetup group.
Come and experience the back straightening joy of standing alongside people who are taller than you and learn a whole new body posture, that accompanies that - cheaper than a Chiropractor!
You are welcome to bring a non tall partner or friend, but one of you MUST be tall! **PLEASE NOTE:** this is a tall persons meet up where we tallies get a chance to talk to other tallies so there is a **minimum height requirement of 6\`2 for men and 5\`9 for women**.
The venue is a Greene King managed pub with their own range of beers, gins (!) and spirits. Classic pub grub is available. We're happy to report that the staff there are friendly and looking forward to being looked down on - in the physical sense, not the attitudinal one.
When you get to the pub, we have an area reserved right at the back of the back of the pub on the left hand side, When you get to the back room room you should see us there easily enough but if not just come in to the room where you should find either Mike, Simon, Neal, Sharran, Rory (we will have name stickers on) and we will introduce you around. If all else fails look for a 3ft wooden Giraffe called Jerry who will be sitting on on of our tables.
Everyone is nervous the first time but we are a really friendly eclectic bunch, and we really look forward to meeting you! If in doubt to where we are then just please just ask the bar staff and they will point you in the right direction.
If you have any questions, please email us at

Everyone's talking about graphs now: What does Azure have to offer?
**Everyone's talking about graphs now: What does Azure have to offer?**
Microsoft Fabric now has a built-in graph database. So do you still need Neo4j?
In this session we put Fabric Graph and Neo4j Aura head to head. Not as a marketing exercise, but as a practical decision guide. We’ll cover where Fabric Graph earns its place as a zero-friction, OneLake-native option for connected data, and where Neo4j Aura pulls ahead on query maturity, algorithm depth, and production readiness. We’ll run the same problem through both platforms live, so you can see the real differences rather than just read a feature table.
You’ll leave with a clear decision framework: when to use what’s already in your Fabric capacity, when to bring in the specialist, and why the answer is sometimes both.
**About the Speaker**
Sandy is a Principal Innovation Consultant at Acora (a title all the cool kids aspire to) and Databricks Champion. He’s passionate about technology and finding the best tool for the job. Having recently worked on a project building out a knowledge graph, he’s got the experience with Neo4j to really show the differences between where it wins and where fabric wins.

Free in-person event: Take Control of Your Mental Health
It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself.
Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went?
Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence?
Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp.
