It’s been only a month in 2026 and it seems that everyday there is some news or the other that sparks more controversy and creates more polarization than ever before. **A Case in Point:** In Minnesota, current events—specifically Operation Metro Surge, a large-scale federal immigration enforcement operation—have sparked a significant constitutional crisis involving the Second Amendment, the rule of law, and freedom of speech. **1\. Should I still come?** Yes! The activities are designed so that people of all levels can follow along. If it ends up being too challenging or if you don’t understand something, then pat yourself on the back, because that means you are learning! The hardest part is showing up. If you are feeling a bit scared, I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and show up for yourself tonight! :) **What will we do?** We typically do one activity that encourages you to use Spanish to mingle with others, and a second activity that is a table or board game.
