Men's Circle Of Excellence Gathering X
Men's Circle Of Excellence Gathering X
The Men’s Circle of Excellence Gathering, for men who seek truth, mastery, and a life beyond mediocrity. The goal is simple: to support each other in mastering mind and spirit, breaking free from comfort, and moving toward excellence in every area of life. Modern life offers endless distractions but little real connection. Too often, men walk the path of self-development alone, or struggle against the negative pull of today’s society. The Men’s Circle of Excellence was created to change that: to bring support, accountability, challenge, and community energy. We gather in person to share openly, confront fears, and inspire one another to reach higher. Here, power is rooted in virtue, strength is balanced with empathy, and ambition is guided by wisdom. How it works: • Welcome & introductions: Meet new members and reconnect with familiar faces. • Open sharing: Each man speaks about his current challenges, fears, or obstacles. • Honest reflections: The group responds with insight and encouragement. • Connection Time: After the circle, we'll have extra time to relax, talk, and build friendships. Recommendation: • Before the event, take some time to think about your current situation and what to bring into the circle. Limited to max. 8 men per gathering to keep the space focused, personal, and meaningful. Confirm your attendance to reserve your spot.

A termünk rögtön a lépcsősorral szemben lesz. \-\-\-\- Please note: This is a Hungarian-language event. The introductions at the beginning and the optional discussion at the end are held in Hungarian.

A több lehetőséggel viszont több veszély is jár. - Mi lehet a legjobb, amit most tehetünk? A maximális hatás érdekében most használni az erőforrásainkat, vagy későbbi esetleges szükséghelyzetre tartalékolni inkább? Más szavakkal: Mennyire élünk döntő pillanatokat most? Köszönöm a megértést!
Pranayama & Meditation 19:00/EN
Pranayama & Meditation 19:00/EN
In this session, we dive into Pranayama, (an ancient practice to discover the flow of energy within) and the power of conscious breathing, which is one of the most important aspects of the original yogic lifestyle. On these Tuesday evenings, we do more than just a breathwork session: this is an opportunity to explore a true harmony between our breath & the mind - body connection. We begin with a 15-minute chest-opening yoga sequence to gently expand our lungs and prepare for deeper breathing (no need for gym clothes though, just an open mind). Then, we explore different breathing techniques designed for self-awareness, relaxation, and energy flow. These classes are designed to help you discover how breath can be a tool to balance, energize, and center yourself. To close, we immerse in a short yet profound "silent concert", a meditative sound journey where 174 Hz sound waves or white noise guide us into a state of deep harmony. Whether emotions are light or heavy, thoughts are clear or clouded, this is a space to simply be and find some peace. Meditation (English)
Meditation (English)
Practice Buddhist meditation in the middle of Budapest! The meditation is suitable for beginners. Each regular meditation is guided and begins with a short introduction. (all together is about 30-40 minutes) Our regular Buddhist meditations have proven popular with people who want to integrate authentic Buddhist methods into their daily lives. For the modern lay person who is juggling work, relationships, and an active role in society, we teach a meditation that is easy to learn, and profound and powerful for experienced practitioners. The meditation originates from the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It has a cumulative effect on mind, leading to greater clarity and calmness. Fearlessness, joy, and active compassion are the result of regular practice of Buddhist meditation. * Do I need any special clothing? No special clothing needed. * Does the attendance cost anything? No, the meditation is free.

The weather finally seems to be on our side, so we’re excited to organise our long-awaited Kerek Perec hike! 🌿 We’ll meet at the last stop of tram 56/61 on Sunday and take a relaxed circular walk in the Buda hills. Although the event is three hours long we won’t be hiking the entire time; we’ve prepared lots of games and activities so we’ll be taking frequent breaks to practise Hungarian. Along the way, you’ll pick up useful vocabulary related to nature and hiking, hear about a couple of famous Hungarian hikers, and work together in different group competitions. You’re very welcome to join regardless of your Hungarian (and fitness) level — we’ll have activities adapted for beginners (A1), elementary (A2), and intermediate (B1) learners. You can buy your ticket here: https://cooltix.hu/event/69dcd42f25f6c22392a700e6 PSA: the dog in the pictures won’t be joining us this time — he tends to demand a bit too much attention :)

We usually don't have any agenda other than eat, drink and talk. :) If the weather is nice we will be on the back patio, otherwise we are in the cigar room. This group has been meeting every Tuesday evening for over a decade. Many attendees do not RSVP on meetup. Please don't let the small number here discourage you. Anyone/everyone is welcome to come. We'd love to have you join us. COTA bus #5 comes to W. 5th and Wyandotte Rd. And it's a minute walk to the restaurant.

Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.

So come and join us and meet other local atheists, along with agnostics, heathens, humanists, skeptics, and anyone else who's 'hell bound'! Vision: a Central Ohio that accepts atheism as a viable alternative in all areas of public and private life. Mission: grow, support, and provide community for atheists in Central Ohio. Social meetings held most Tuesdays at a local pub/restaurant at 7:00 PM (and often into the wee hours). Attendees call themselves agnostics, skeptics, humanists, non-theists, deists or even theists. All attendees are welcome but should support our vision. Atheists of Columbus (AoC) is part of Omnipresent Atheists (OA).
