**For ages 13 and above.** These classes will cover: * Kihon (Basics) * Kata (Form) * Kumite (Sparring) **Kihon** is essential to all advanced training. It includes the practice of correct body form and breathing; while practising basics such as stances, punches, kicks, blocks, and thrusts at the same time. **Kata** is a form of ritualized self-training in which patterned or memorized movements are done in order to practice a form of combat maneuvering. **Kumite**, or sparring, is an important part of kyokushin training. High emphasis is placed on full contact sparring which is mostly done without any gloves or protective equipment, especially for senior level trainings. Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
