Puppy Yoga:
In the first 3 months of a puppies life it is very important to expose your puppies to different people, new environments, sounds and smells. Puppy yoga is a safe and fun space that aids with our puppies socialisation.
When you cuddle a puppy, it has psychological benefits, increasing the happy hormones: oxytocin and serotonin to the brain and lowering cortisol levels (the negative hormone) similar to when you embrace a new-born baby for the first time. This in turn with the yoga, will leave you feeling physically , mentally and emotional balanced and fulfillled.
For health and safety reasons an Adult must attend and supervise the child. One adult per two children tickets purchased.

What does it really mean: Steady Cardio mixed with explosive sprints, body strength HiiT training, group workouts, followed by a warm down of yoga and mindfulness. By the end of the class you have worked your entire body (and made new friends). You can push yourself according to your fitness level. We never point out any individuals but instead motivate the whole group to push further.
We welcome everyone in our group. We run (slow pace) between HiiT stations. We always show options for our exercises from easy option to enhanced and difficult form of the same move.

**Brews and Lose... Track of Time!** Bermondsey Beer Mile. Relaxed pace. Visit craft brewery tap rooms in ancient industrial London. It really is a lovely walk, lots of Victorian buildings, murals, art, etc.
As with all our events, you **do not** need an ADHD diagnosis. Come as you are, meet nice, quirky people.
We will attempt to visit several of the taprooms in a loosely sequential order. I strongly recommend having thirds or halves of a pint! Some of us will succeed.
To keep you in sustenance, there will be assorted food places along the route.

**What will definitely happen:**
- At least one person will show up to the wrong place

- Someone will announce they're leaving and still be there an hour later
- We will collectively lose track of time, money, and the thread of at least six conversations
**What will probably not happen:**
- Not everyone arriving on time

- But we will try.

A typical puppy yoga class will have approximately 8-10 puppies with around 15 participants and the puppies can range from 8-14 weeks old.
Puppy yoga classes involve having puppies roaming from one mat to the next, leaping on participants, and tussling with other puppies as you try out different yoga poses. Often pups are incorporated into some of the yoga poses or they happily roam free throughout class.
All puppies are borrowed from a local breeder and we find the breeders from websites such as Kennel Club or Pets4Homes. On some occasions, Puppy Yoga gives the puppies an opportunity to be adopted, if they havenât already found their forever home. The puppies get the chance to be around other people (not just their breeder) which enhances their socialisation.

Sunday Social Hike: 11km Epping Forest Circular Trail
Explore Epping Forest and make new friends with a fun 11KM community hike!
We organise free and paid hikes around London and the South East, with the aim of helping people get out of the city and into nature. We are building an inclusive community of like-minded people and everyone is welcome to join!
Our community hikes are a great way to get to know us, make new friends, and spend some time in nature. We regularly go to Epping Forest as it's easy to reach by tube and it's truly magical.
**Logistics**
đ Meeting point & end point: outside Theydon Bois Station (Central Line)
đ When: 10:30AM on Sunday 7th June
đˇ Cost: Free (our Epping Forest hikes are free forever!)
**đż What Weâll See Along the Way:**
This 11 km circular hike takes us deep into the heart of Epping Forest, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to ancient woodlands, rich history, and thriving wildlife. Weâll follow peaceful trails through towering trees, along leafy paths, exploring some of the forestâs most fascinating landmarks. We'll pass:
* Amesbury Banks â an 11-acre Roman site with a visible high bank and ditch marking its outline
* Beautiful woodland paths, seasonal wildflowers, and a chance to enjoy the forest
* Occasionally we see wild deer, squirrels, kites, a variety of mushrooms, and other nature sights, but these are not guaranteed, the forest will decide!

* Max elevation: 269 m
* Estimated duration: 3-4 hours (excluding breaks)

Ladies Sword Fitness
Taisoken Sword Fitness classes are formulated to sculpt your whole body, build lean muscle and focus the mind. Based on traditional Japanese sword movements (âTaisokenâ literally means âexercise swordâ in Japanese) the class blends cardio and light weight resistance training to burn fat and build long lean muscles.
We make use of traditional Japanese training swords (called âBokkenâ) to tone our arms and strengthen our cores. No prior training or martial arts experience is required, the class is completely non-contact and suited to all levels of fitness. Back ground Info: Taisoken Sword Fitness has been developed and is led by Jeff Humm, who has been studying studying the use of the Japanese sword for over 45 years together with other traditional martial arts. He holds a Masters degree in Traditional Japanese Martial Arts and a 7th Dan in Japanese fencing (Kendo). The movements are authentic cutting actions, some dating back more than 3 hundred years when your life depend on how well you wield the Sword. By taking authentic Japanese sword movements of attack and defence, these actions have been formulated into practice routines which work and sculpt the full range of the bodyâs muscles.
Additionally the routines require participates to focus and visualise their actions leading them to seeking perfection in application which in turn empowers the mind and develops greater body and mind equilibrium. Reiki Practice Circle: All Levels Welcome
Join us at Unity of Columbus for our Weekly Reiki Share, a peaceful and uplifting gathering for connection, healing, and growth. A Reiki Share is a time where Reiki practitioners and students come together to give and receive healing energy in a supportive and welcoming environment. These sessions will be moderated by Columbus Unity Reiki. Reiki is a hands-on energy healing method from Japan that first came to the United States in 1938. Since then, it has grown in popularity and is now widely practiced throughout the West.
All levels are welcome, and you do not need to be a practitioner at Unity of Columbus to attend. If you are a Reiki practitioner, a Reiki student, or simply interested in becoming a Reiki student, we warmly invite you to join us. Come practice your healing techniques, learn new approaches, receive healing energy, and connect with a like-minded community in a space of relaxation, renewal, and positive energy.
