Join us for a community ride celebrating renewal, gratitude and togetherness, a gentle spin through familiar streets, shared stories and good company. Please note that **helmets and bikes are compulsory**. By signing up for the ride, you are accepting our terms and conditions as stated below: **IN CONSIDERATION** of your participation in the **Brompton Ride on Saturday, 28 February 2026**: 1️⃣ I acknowledge, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate. I understand the ride-out will be conducted on public pavements and facilities open to the public, where travel hazards are expected. Route: Hillview MRT EXIT A ➝ Dairy Farm Nature Park ➝ Bukit Timah Summit ➝ 2-3 Staircase Loops ➝ Beauty World Shopping Centre for lunch. **Date: 1st March 2026 (Sun)** **Meeting Time: 8 am** **Meeting point: Hillview MRT Exit A** **Your Leader in Fitness: Gary** Join us for a practical endurance training session designed to build back strength, overall stamina, and backpack carrying efficiency, perfect for those preparing for long-distance hikes and treks. We will tackle a mix of trail and stair climbs to simulate the kind of effort and strain experienced during multi-day hikes. This session focuses on consistency, not speed, ideal for beginners and experienced hikers alike who want to train smart. What to Bring: * Backpack (with at least 5-7kg weight to simulate real conditions) * Minimum 1.5L of water * Light snacks or energy bars * Towel/small cloth * Rain gear or poncho (weather dependent) * Proper hiking shoes * Sunscreen and cap * EZ-Link card / small cash for lunch Note: Train smart. This is not a race. The goal is to develop strength and endurance through consistent effort and mindful pacing. Let’s gear up and get trail-ready! Here’s how the courts are split: **1 Beginner Court** (*For newcomers* ) **\- Court 1** * Learning court lines, scoring, and basic rules. * Can sustain short rallies and demonstrate basic strokes but still working on consistency. **1 Intermediate Court - Court 2** * Solid consistency, mid-pace rallies * Shot placement is improving, but still work-in-progress * Great for those ready to level up **Official Tournament Balls:** All games will be played using **Franklin X-40 tournament balls** for consistency and a high-quality playing experience. **Paddle Queue System:** To keep things fair, players will place their paddles in line in box to indicate their turn in the respective court. **Rules of the Game**: * **Switch It Up**: After every match, you’ll get a new partner and new opponents. * **Scoring**: First to 15 points, rally style (no need to keep track of who’s serving—so much simpler lah). * **Timing**: Each match is capped at 15 minutes, so don’t peng san trying to win. * **Be Nice**: Keep it friendly—this isn’t the SEA Games, okay? *** ### **Why You’ll Love It:** * Play with a variety of kakis and test your skills. * End the day with new friends and maybe a snack after. *** **What to Bring:** * Your paddle (or rent one—we’re not judging). * Water bottle—don’t faint halfway * Your best “aiyah nvm” attitude when the ball goes sideways. **Friendly Reminder:** Pickleball is a social and physical activity, please be mindful of your own safety and physical limits.
