Sentry is the market leader in the error monitoring space and like many startups with engineer founders, Sentry was born out of frustration with technology. David started Sentry as an open-source side project in 2008. We started in a small community â the Django web framework â and over time expanded our technology to support dozens of other platforms, including browser JavaScript and mobile applications.
Fast forward to today, we're a $90M Series E company with a $3B valuation and 200+ employees on a mission to help developers write better software faster, so we can get back to enjoying technology. As one can see, the adventure continues to be exciting as we bring our developer-first Application Monitoring to more customers and industries worldwide.

Conversational Contracts: HumanâCentered API Design with DDD and AI #mashup
In many organizations, APIs are treated as technical contracts â neat documentation of endpoints and payloads.
But what if APIs could become something more: living expressions of the business domain itself?
This talk examines how Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modern API craftsmanship converge to establish a shared language between people and systems. Weâll walk through how techniques like Domain Storytelling, Event Storming, and Context Mapping can lead directly into OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications that reflect real domain intent â not just data structures.
**How can LLM help?**
Along the way, weâll see how Large Language Models (LLMs) can amplify human creativity â helping teams turn visual domain artifacts into executable API contracts while preserving intent and nuance. Instead of replacing design thinking, AI becomes a collaborator in the craftsmanship process.
Through practical examples, weâll explore how bounded contexts define API boundaries, how ubiquitous language shapes resource and event models, and how contract-first design enables safe, evolutionary change. By the end, youâll see APIs not merely as integration points, but as living domain boundaries to align architecture, business, and shared understanding.
**About the speaker**
[Annegret](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-annegret-junker-141a99a4/) is Chief Software Architect at codecentric AG in Germany. She has worked in software development for over 30 years. She worked in quite different roles and domains. She is especially interested in DDD, microservices, and everything else. She is working on a large integration project and defines APIs for partners.

**The State of Austrian Agility**
...From Trend to Strategic Capability
*by Tobias Kirchebner*
Agility is no longer just a method â it has become a cultural and strategic capability that defines how successful companies adapt and create value. In this talk, Tobias will present the key findings of the PwC x PMI Study 2025, which examines the state of agility in Austrian companies.
We will look at how organizations understand agility today, the main barriers to scaling it, the rise of hybrid models, and the (still limited) role of AI in agile work.
Attendees will leave with a clear picture of where Austrian companies stand â and what separates those who use Agile methods from those who truly live Agility!

**Agenda:**
* **17:30:** Doors Open & Networking

**GitOps Visibility: Precise Argo CD diffs on every Pull Request**
* **18:45:** Break & Refreshments
* **19:00:** **Talk 2:** Thomas Hanser (Untis GmbH)
**The Untis Platform Engineering Journey: GitOps Multi-Tenancy with Flux, GitLab, and Friends**
* **19:45:** Open Networking
We look forward to seeing you there!
\-\-\-
**Talks:**
Rober Klonner (WKO Inhouse Gmbh)
**GitOps Visibility: Precise Argo CD diffs on every Pull Request**
Today's GitOps deployments are generated through layers of templating - Helm charts, Kustomize or ApplicationSets. Modifying these abstractions and trying to mentally render the output is error-prone.
This talk introduces a method that uses Argo CD itself to render accurate diffs of Helm charts and Kustomize overlays between branches and posts the result directly on your pull request.
We'll walk through a production setup using the Argo CD Operator, Argo CD Diff Preview, and GitLab CI, optimized for performance, minimal maintenance, and security. Through real-world use cases, we'll show what issues this approach catches before they hit your cluster.
Thomas Hanser (Untis GmbH)
**The Untis Platform Engineering Journey: GitOps Multi-Tenancy with Flux, GitLab, and Friends**
Operating in the European education sector means juggling compliance, student privacy and massive traffic spikes when school starts. Historically at Untis, keeping this running in production was the burden of a single operations team. This session details our transition to an automated, multi-tenant GitOps platform managing a fleet of internal and external Kubernetes clusters. We share our approach of building a platform that gives product teams actual autonomy without compromising on security or control:
* **Structured Multi-Tenancy:** Mapping GitLab groups to namespaced tenant projects using Fluxâs multi-tenant model.
* **Secure Access Control:** Leveraging the GitLab Agent for Kubernetes to enable scoped, declarative self-service cluster access.
* **Flexible Delivery Models:** Supporting multiple decentralized deployment strategies by balancing governance and freedom for both internal teams and external guest environments.
Prepare for an honest demonstration of challenges like managing secret lifecycles across a growing fleet, moving from script-driven tenant onboarding to true automated self-service, and wrestling with the classic "chicken-and-egg" problems of bootstrapping Flux and handling GitOps release management.

COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 â 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.
Fast track
⢠Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell).
⢠Show up and try it out.
⢠Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process
⢠Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/).
⢠Attend orientation in advance.
⢠At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started â but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome â please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. đ¤ đ

AI Agents 101: How to Make ChatGPT Do Actual Work
Most people still use AI like a search box: type one question, get one answer, repeat.
But the next step is AI agents: systems that can take a goal, break it into steps, use tools, remember context, and produce useful work for a human to review.
In this beginner-friendly session, weâll demystify what AI agents actually are â without hype or jargon. Weâll walk through practical examples of how agents can help with research, planning, writing, coding, operations, and personal productivity.
Weâll cover:
* What makes an AI âagentâ instead of just a chatbot
* How agents break tasks into steps
* Where agents are genuinely useful today
* Where they fail, hallucinate, or need human review
* How to design simple AI workflows for your own work
* A live demo of an AI agent-style workflow from start to finish
No coding experience required. This is for anyone who wants to understand where AI tools are going and how to use them more effectively right now.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.
