Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign monthly meeting
This is where we dicuss cycling issues in Waltham Forest and decide any group actions such as rides and events as well as liaison with the Council.
We try and keep it short and usually go to the pub afterwards. (The Drum on Lea Bridge Rd or William IV on Leyton High Rd)

I don't know if this recurring event still happens. I heard that Vandome Cycles (https://www.vandomecycles.co.uk/) took over the cycle4all project but I'm unclear what events they have. The cycle4all.com website is no longer live.

Social Cycling - Vandome Cycles

Outside Go Karts! 30 mins of Track time inc 15 min Race!
Go Karts is Finally here again outside at a new track in Brentwood! On 825 metres of track and can reach speeds of up to 50 mph on 270cc Go Karts!
We are going going to mega value with Sprint 45: 5 minute Practice, 10 minute Qualifier and finally a a 30 minute Race.
Winners finish on an outside podium with medals and Champagne to celebrate!
We will have 20 people exclusively from this Meetup Group for this event who you can race against.
**About the Track - Brentwood Karting**
Widest and Fastest Track in the South East. The track has 2 Full Blast Straights, 3 Steep Cambers, 1 daunting hairpin.
A fabulous outside track 8 meters wide with plenty of room for overtaking!
**More Info**
Your arrival time for your event is 45 minutes prior to the start time, to ensure that we have enough time to get everyone signed and fully kitted up with their race wear.
Recommend drivers wear soft shoes. Trainers are ideal, open toe footwear and high heels are NOT ALLOWED! Fully sanitised personal race suits, helmets and gloves are all naturally provided, in a variety of sizes. Please note that drivers who bring their own helmets should be aware that we only accept ISO safety stamped full face helmets with clear visors or goggles.
**Wearing a balaclava and gloves are now mandatory -** You can purchase a disposable ones or reusable cotton ones for £3.50 upon arrival. Also gloves as well are needed can also be purchased.

Warley Gap, Warley, Brentwood CM13 3DP
Please remember to plan transport in advance as will need to arrive on time and may be a late finish
The Train Station: Brentwood is 2 miles from the track, you can get the Elizabeth Line to here and can get the 351 bus to the track. (Around 1 hour from Liverpool Street)
**Schedule**
10:30am - Arrive at Go Karts (Note we have to be there 45 minutes early - to prepare)\*
10:45am - 11:20pm - Receive briefing for Go Karts and get changed
11:20am - 12:15pm - 5 Min, 10 Min and 30 Min Go Kart Sessions and Podium Celebration
12:15pm - 12:30pm - Changed and meet at reception
12:30pm + Go for Brunch (Will confirm place) - Optional
Note - It is advised not to eat just before a race, but if you eat a couple hours before should be okay.

Calling all you big kids! Not only is this workshop fun, it is serious business as well! We're bringing out the toys today - we have ideas for a couple of setups prepared for you, and we also have extra action figures and Lego minifigures for you to collaborate and create!
And we have **SMOKE AND DRY ICE EFFECTS** and maybe some sparks (!) depending on the location.

**Weather permitting**, we’ll take a casual ride from Pickerington Ponds (Glacier Knoll) to Three Creeks and back.
Distance is **18–25 miles**, depending on where we turn around and whether we add a side loop.
Pace is around **12 mph**, but this is a fun, no‑drop ride — we can slow down as needed.

Dust off your bikes, pump up your tires, and get out and ride.

• 20 miles round trip
• Ride to Sunbury, stop for lunch (Location TBD), then ride back to the Westerville Library
