The Creative Code Stammtisch is a casual show-and-tell for artists, makers, designers, coders, performers, learners and anyone interested in the use of computing skills for artistic expression.
The event is free and open to all, regardless of age, origin, gender or experience. Beginners and first-timers should feel especially welcome! You don't have to be a coder yourself š
HOW TO FIND US?
Find Prachtsaal Studio by crossing the courtyard next to Cafe Augusta on Jonasstr. 22, 12053 Berlin.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We start with quick introductions, then open the floor to anyone who wants to present something. There are usually around six 10-minute slots available, plus time for questions from the audience. First-timers are encouraged to share their work.
Topics range from net art to computational design and interactive installations all the way to wearable electronics or generative poetry. If youāre wondering whether your own project might fit, take a look at the [Stammtisch archive](https://creativecodeberlin.github.io/Stammtisch/) to see what others have shared in the past.
This event is *not* just for coders! New-media artists and anyone working with technology in their art are very welcome to share. If you enjoy art and/or technology, youāll likely have a great time, and maybe even learn something new!
BEGINNERS WELCOME!

Berlin Color Hunt Photo Challenge
Hello challengers,
For those of you that survived the winters of Berlin, I'm getting geared up for our next meetup! In this workshop, weāll go beyond simply taking photos, weāll train your eye to see color with intention and use it as a powerful storytelling tool.
Instead of focusing on subjects alone, this challenge invites you to explore Berlin through a single lens: **color**.
Youāll be split into small groups and assigned a specific color. Your mission is to hunt for it, frame it, and bring it to life through a series of images. By the end, each group will become the storyteller of their color across the city.
Along the way, youāll learn how to use color not just as an aesthetic, but as a way to guide attention, create emotion, and build stronger compositions.
Learn to see, compose, and tell stories through color using contrast, simplicity, and creative interpretation.
š§ **How the Challenge Works**
* Youāll be split into groups of **2ā3 people**
* Each group is assigned **one color**
* Youāll have **\~60 minutes** to explore and shoot
* Your goal: capture a small series of images that represent your color in Berlin
**A Social Experience**
As much as this is a photography group, itās about connection and community.
Within your group, youāll collaborate, explore, and share perspectives. Whether youāre experienced or just starting out, this is a space to meet creatives that can learn from each other.
š **What to Bring**
⢠Your Camera ā DSLR, mirrorless, or smartphones are allowed
⢠Comfortable Clothing ā Weāll be walking and exploring
⢠Curiosity and open mindedness ā Be ready to observe differently and go out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself!
Iāll also compile the results into curated series like:
**āBerlin in Redā \| āBerlin in Greenā \| āBerlin in Blueā**
Selected photos will be featured on our Instagram community.
šø **Cost**
**ā¬10** ā collected after the session or pre-pay via PayPal to secure your spot. Maximum limit of 55 participants.

Portrait Drawing on Sunday Afternoon
This group is for everyone who is interested in drawing portraits!
For me, drawing has been a wonderful way to gain a new perspective on the world and the people within it.
Whether you are just starting out or have been drawing for ages ā all levels are welcome :)
How it works:
1\. We meet at The Castle pub in Mitte and do short sittings of 15 minutes for each other\. The first sitting is divided into 3 warm\-up sketches\, 5 minutes each\.
2\. Before we start\, everybody writes their name on a blank card \(provided by the organizer\); these cards are then used to randomly pick the model every 15 minutes\.
3\. Usually we do 8 sittings\, with a 15\-minute break in the middle \(so after 4 sittings\, or 1 hour\)\.
-> The participation is free, but it is expected that everybody orders something from the bar to support the lovely location.
Get out your pencils and let's start!
Please bring your own art supplies!

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
