Domenica 17 maggio alle ore 17.00, la **rassegna gratuita** “Concerti in cortile” prosegue con TRIO Migrazioni & Friends e il concerto “Culture in migrazione”, in programma presso Slow Mill, in Via Volturno 32 a Milano. Il progetto Migrazioni si propone di promuovere la produzione musicale dei suoi membri tra Brasile ed Europa, valorizzando culture di origine africana che nel tempo si sono intrecciate attraverso esperienze migratorie forzate o volontarie. La proposta artistica si sviluppa come un dialogo tra radici culturali, mobilità, memoria e trasformazione, mettendo al centro la musica come luogo di scambio e di relazione. Il concerto presenta composizioni originali di Wir Caetano, scritte insieme al suo collaboratore Zecrinha, e interpretate da Toni Júlio alla voce, Kal dos Santos alle percussioni e Davide Perduca alla chitarra. Il progetto si arricchisce inoltre della presenza di artisti ospiti, contribuendo a costruire una trama sonora aperta, plurale e profondamente attraversata dal tema dell’incontro tra culture. La presenza di TRIO Migrazioni & Friends all’interno della rassegna esprime pienamente lo spirito di “Concerti in cortile”: promuovere iniziative che uniscono le persone, valorizzano gli spazi condivisi del quartiere e generano occasioni di ascolto, partecipazione e vita comunitaria attraverso la musica. Join the [Veg Society of DC (VSDC)](vsdc.org) for a pro-animal/vegan-themed Movie Watch Party on Saturday, June 13 at 6:30 pm in Fairfax VA. Socializing with vegan food beforehand and discussion about the movie afterwards is planned. This month we will screen two films. The first is *Forever Home* (56 minutes): In the heart of North Carolina, two dreamers are revolutionizing animal care through groundbreaking architecture and by rethinking the concept of “home.” At their refuge, they’re replacing conventional barns with customized homes. With empathy and imagination, they’re bringing architectural design to the world of animal care and providing a blueprint for a compassionate, sustainable future. The second film (20 minutes) is *Welcome Home*, which celebrates the incredible story of wolf reintroduction to Colorado. The VSDC member hosts’ home in Fairfax has a small home theater that can accommodate around 20 people. This regular event is a fun way to learn, discuss, and meet vegans and vegan-curious people (Thanks to Mindy Kursban and David Kwiatkowski for hosting!). FEE: The $12 fee will cover the hosts' expenses for the event, including food, beverages, and other associated costs. If there are any proceeds beyond these costs, which we don't expect, they will go towards VSDC's work to fulfill its mission. No, it’s about everyone trying to squeeze some money out of everybody else, with the only exception being a pair of young lovers. As a posh summer resort prepares to open, the manager summons the staff to a meeting where he explains how he’ll be cheating all his employees. The department heads hold smaller meetings to give their workers the lowdown on how they’ll all surrender part of their earnings. When the guests arrive, they start trying to scam each other in a wacky series of misadventures.
