We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive intensity, and the last session is lighter.
Program:
15’ warm up
**To be defined**
Cool down to get back to the starting point… or more
S=All out sprint
RF = Run fast, at MAS (Maximum aerobic speed)
CF = Run comfortably fast (1h threshold)
J = Jog, recuperation
Notes:
It should take about one hour in total, as the cool down will end when we reach back to the meeting point.
It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the program, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle.
For the "run" part, you can follow your own pace and we'll be regrouping in the "jog" part.
Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'/km so this pace should feel very comfortable
***Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability.***
By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organizers from any responsibility and liability in all claims. As the participation is strictly voluntary and you freely choose to join, it is the responsibility of individuals participating to ensure that they are fit enough and have adequate coverage to protect themselves.

This is all about organic connections and real conversations - no pressure, no structure, just good vibes and great company.
**Everyone welcome:** complete beginners to fluent speakers, locals and expats, native speakers and eager learners.
## 👥 Who Comes to These Events?
Our community includes language students, professionals new to Brussels, polyglots, locals wanting to practice their English, expats improving their French or Dutch, and anyone curious about other cultures. The common thread? A love of languages and meeting interesting people.
## 🍹 Drinks & Atmosphere
Gare Maritime shines when it comes to drinks. Multiple bars offer creative cocktails, local craft beers, quality wines, and non-alcoholic options. The industrial-chic setting with communal seating makes it easy to strike up conversations and move between groups.

Sing & Strum – Playing Guitar While Singing (Beginner - Intermediate)
#### Do you already play guitar but struggle when you try to sing at the same time?
This workshop is designed for **beginner–intermediate guitarists** who are comfortable with basic chords and rhythm and want to combine voice and guitar more naturally. *Sing & Strum* focuses on practical tools, real songs, and simple strategies to help you play and sing together without overthinking.
Under the guidance of [Carla](https://www.pacsonmusicschool.com/more-info-carla) our vocal and guitar teacher, you’ll work on coordination, groove, and musicality in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Event Paid: 35 Euro

Improvisation & Freedom – Singing without fear (All levels) - Limited Spots
#### Do you freeze, overthink, or hold back when asked to improvise?
Many singers feel blocked when improvising. You might worry about singing the wrong note, feel stiff when using your voice freely, or believe that improvisation requires creativity you don’t have.
In this workshop led by our vocal teacher [Sandy](https://www.pacsonmusicschool.com/more-info-sandy), we’ll **explore improvisation through a guided vocal circle**, using vocalises, sounds, and spontaneous expression rather than prepared songs.
**This approach helps you develop your ear, strengthen your musical instinct, and learn to listen and respond naturally in the moment.**
Improvisation becomes less about thinking and more about sensing, listening, and allowing your voice to move freely.
In a safe and supportive group environment, you’ll discover how to trust your voice, release control, and experience singing as a natural and intuitive process.
This workshop is based on guided vocal improvisation exercises in a group circle, where active participation is essential.
Event Paid: 35 Euro

Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator.
Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!
• What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible.
See you at The Café on Saturday!
