**Tickets: $50**
https://events.humanitix.com/oot-and-aboot-community-camp-autumn-edition-or-western-victoria
Oot & Aboot is a volunteer-run registered LGBTQIA+ charity creating inclusive outdoor and nature-based experiences that support mental wellbeing.
The Community Camp is a relaxed, low-pressure overnight camping experience designed to bring LGBTQIA+ people and allies together in nature.
This is our very first event, and we’re intentionally keeping it simple. There’s no packed schedule or expectations — just space to slow down, connect, and enjoy the outdoors in good company.
Across one autumn night, you can look forward to:
* A welcoming and inclusive camp environment
* Lawn and board games
* Casual group walks in nature
* Plenty of unstructured community time to talk, laugh, and connect
* A simple self-serve breakfast on Sunday morning
This is an **adults-only (18+)** event with a maximum of **30 participants**, creating an intimate and friendly atmosphere. No prior camping experience is required.
The campsite is located near Barrys Reef, VIC, approximately a one-hour drive from Melbourne CBD.
For safety and privacy reasons, the exact location will be provided only to confirmed ticket holders and can be found on the ticket sent via email. Please remember to check your junk or spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.
Know before you go:
* Participants should bring their own camping gears (tent, sleeping bag, air mattress, pillow, etc.), warm clothes, food, and drinks (except breakfast)
* Alcohol may be consumed responsibly
* As a new, volunteer-run charity, we’re not yet able to cater for specific dietary or allergy requirements — please bring food that meets your needs
* Some uneven ground and bush walking may be involved
* Dogs and other pets are not permitted due to our insurance.
Park Facilities (shared with other guests):
* Powered and grassed sites
* Camp Kitchen: Includes microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, electric hotplates and grill
* Laundry: Washing machine, dryer (coin operated), clothesline
* Free WIFI (only certain area)
* BBQ (coin operated)
* Available to purchase: washing powder, bagged firewood and bagged ice (subject to stock availability)
Oot & Aboot events are grounded in respect, inclusion, and care. We aim to create spaces where LGBTQIA+ people and allies feel safe, welcome, and supported.
If you’re looking for a gentle way to reconnect with nature and community, we’d love to have you join us.

Bucket list opportunity - Dinner at Vue de Monde
Vue de Monde needs little introduction. It has been synonymous with Melbourne dining for over 20 years, continuing to present beautiful food that not only appeals to a sense of luxury but also honesty, integrity and an inherent natural flavour. In 2025, it was again awarded three Hats.
I’ve booked for 6 Fine Diners to enjoy the set menu at $380 per person for dinner from 6pm on Saturday 18 April.
Join the waitlist to express interest.
Once I have names in the waitlist, I’ll send you a ‘Meetup Message’ to confirm if you have a spot and how to pay. The last minute cancellation fee is the full $380 menu cost, I’m asking for an initial $100 deposit to secure your seat and then I’ll follow up for the $280 balance one week prior to the event.
This will be deducted from your bill on the night.
Once the deposit is paid, I’ll move you from the waitlist to going.
Vue de Monde is a bucket-list venue, so this event will be in demand. Please check that you don’t have your settings blocking messages; if I can’t contact you I’ll have to move on to the next person. Also if you don’t respond to my message within 3 days, I’ll let you know that I’m offering the seat to the next person on the waitlist.
Thanks everyone!

Feng Shui and the Predictions of the Yang Fire Horse
Feng Shui and the Predictions of the Yang Fire Horse
Presented by Rose Migliorisi
Feng Shui is between 3,000 and over 6,000 years old and works with energy (Chi) to create balance between people and their surroundings. Small changes can lead to powerful results, for example better sleep and energy, increased abundance, a home that supports you, reduced stress and tension, improved focus and clarity. Predictions on the year of a Yang Fire Horse being a fast-paced strong fire energy affecting the weather so a very hot and dry year. The year will be faster than normal so be aware of burnouts.

Danielle Walker - Bittersweet
A favourite comedian and what I have heard to be a terrific show.

You can buy your tickets via Meetup here, or direct online here: https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/browse-shows/danielle-walker-bittersweet/
show blurb
\-\-\-\-\-
They say you can’t put lipstick on a pig. Well call the Guinness Book of Records, 'cause I did it and she’s a sexy little sow.
This show is not about that, I just wanted to let you know that it can be done, and the results are absolutely stunning.
You may have seen me on *Taskmaster*, *Gold Diggers*, *Thank God You’re Here* or a bunch of other shows if you are partial to free to air TV.
I’ve also won some bigtime comedy awards if you care about that stuff. I’ve won Raw Comedy, Best Newcomer at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Pinder Prize and been nominated for Most Outstanding Show.
