Introduction to Curative Eurythmy: A Three-Session Experience
Join us for a unique workshop hosted by Jenny Kuznetsova on Curative Eurythmy: Movement for everyday wellbeing, an introduction.
Held over three consecutive Saturdays, 14th, 21st, 28th March 2026, 11am-12pm, the participants will have an opportunity to experience this extraordinary modality.
Curative Eurythmy is a movement modality that creates harmony in the whole being. Through specifically curated movements, our three bodies, physical, emotional and mental are moved into incredible balance.
The movements work strongly on the circulatory system and as such create organic deep activation of the breath. As the movements activate circulation in the body as well as flooding it with the health giving breath, the after effects create feelings of inner nourishment, strength and vitality.
Curative Eurythmy is able to help with physical, emotional and mental imbalances as well as provide a general boost to our overall wellbeing that is so vital in an age where the nervous system is constantly overwhelmed with the pace of life.
You are invited to try this unique and potent modality and experience the benefits firsthand.

The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil
Tickets required: $50 via TryBooking: https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD
Location: Carlton (exact venue/address sent after ticket purchase).
What it is: a structured gathering — tea ritual + guided conversation + guided sigil-making. Tea-only (no food). Bring a notebook if you like. Looking forward to seeing you there.
**The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil**
*Ceremony, Connection, Contemplation: Sacred Tea as Ritual, Conversation as Insight*
The Aquarian Tea Party invites you to an intimate gathering in a small circle of shared space, presence, and reflection.
We begin with the simple alchemy of making and drinking tea, allowing scent and warmth to do what they do best: gather the mind and open a space where thought can deepen. This is a way of meeting one another in a calm, shared rhythm.
Tea is approached not as refreshment alone, but as a medium for slowing perception and cultivating attention. Silence and conversation move naturally between one another, allowing the group to arrive fully.
From this stillness, we turn to a short (12-minute) video introduction to sigils: symbolic forms shaped by intention—letters, marks, and geometries arranged to hold a clear inner statement. Historically used across esoteric, mystical, and philosophical traditions, sigils function as focal points for meditation, inner alignment, and energetic inquiry.
The film introduces both symbolic and geometrical sigils, including forms drawn from sacred geometry, and considers their use in contemplative, protective, and balancing practices. We will touch on several families of forms, including geometric structures such as the triangle, hexagram, the Flower of Life, and related patterns that have long carried metaphysical meaning.
Afterward, we will engage in a guided discussion, not to reach consensus, but to deepen understanding. This is a space for nuance, interpretation, and careful listening.
Our discussion follows in the spirit of shared inquiry: reflective rather than declarative, curious rather than certain. This is a room for nuance—for those who enjoy ideas with texture, and who can sit with mystery without needing it to become a slogan.
The final portion of the gathering invites participants to create their own sigils under gentle guidance. This process emphasizes clarity of intention, symbolic coherence, and embodied awareness rather than outcome-driven practice. No prior experience is required—only curiosity, patience, and respect for complexity. Please get your tickets here: **https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD**

The Coen Brothers: Fate, Violence, and Hollywood Absurdity
This session we turn to the strange, dark, and darkly comic worlds of the Coen Brothers with two of their most distinctive films: No Country for Old Men (2007) and Barton Fink (1991).
Both films explore characters who find themselves trapped in worlds they barely understand. In No Country for Old Men, a quiet act of greed sets off a relentless chain of violence across the Texas borderlands, raising haunting questions about fate, morality, and whether the modern world has simply become too brutal to comprehend. In Barton Fink, a New York playwright arrives in Hollywood hoping to write meaningful art, only to descend into a surreal nightmare of writer’s block, strange neighbours, and the suffocating machinery of the film industry.
Despite their very different tones—one stark and minimalist, the other claustrophobic and absurd—both films share the Coens’ fascination with existential dread, moral ambiguity, and the limits of human understanding.
For this meetup:
Watch both films beforehand.
Come ready to discuss themes, style, performances, and the Coens’ unique blend of philosophy, genre, and dark humour.
Some questions we might explore:
Is Anton Chigurh a human character, or something closer to fate itself?
What does Barton Fink say about art, Hollywood, and the role of the “writer”?
How do the Coens use genre (western, thriller, noir, surrealism) to explore deeper philosophical ideas?
Why do so many Coen characters seem overwhelmed by the worlds they inhabit?
As always, this is a discussion group—we don’t watch the films together. Watch them beforehand and bring your thoughts, interpretations, and favourite moments.
Whether you love the Coens or are discovering them for the first time, this should be a fascinating conversation.
Forgiveness
Somebody cuts in front of you out on the freeway. How do you react? You will never see them again, and it was probably unintentional anyway. Is it really that easy to forgive? Is it healthy? What happens when you are really suffering and your own suffering is unheard, even by you?
How incredibly difficult it is to ‘forgive ‘in real world situations, yet we are told that students of the Ancient Wisdom who wish to aspire to spiritual advancement must ‘Learn to Forgive; Learn to Love’.
Let’s look at Forgiveness in various religious traditions and advice from modern psychology and the Ancient Wisdom/Theosophy on pathways to Forgiveness.
There will be time to discuss this thorniest of problems with attendees and even role play a few situations calling for Forgiveness.

We encourage our members to support anime artists and producers by purchasing their movies or any full series should they wish to watch the endings.
**Some insight for newer members:**
It's a natural process to feel a little anxious attending a large event you have never experienced before. During sign ins our hosting team will naturally be busy however our meet & greet volunteers will do their best to say 'Hello' to everyone and perhaps connect you to others. If for some reason this does not happen (because it's really busy), don't fret! Our ice breaker games are designed to help everyone bond over a shared experience. You should expect adults having fun and letting lose whilst being challenged to push some comfort zones which we invite you to do as well! The games are suppose to be silly to help people come out of comfort zones and get to know someone new. We will then take a break to watch anime and we really do encourage you to stay for games after dinner which is when our team gets a breather and a good chance to get to know our newer members better in a quieter setting! We have witnessed many wonderful long term friendships formed at MAC amongst our members - We do hope you join us!
**THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS**
A big thank you to everyone who RSVPs - This money helps with the club's upkeep and hiring of the venue! We are completely NOT-FOR-PROFIT and we sincerely appreciate your contributions!! Raffle tickets will be available on the day to further support our MAC community!!

Hybrid MI Python: Monthly Talk
Use this link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85031832141?pwd=7Sa7wy8KlHqPhKxYQUl42uCsf8YawO.1
**Opening Talk:**
Luisa will demo a sassy AI-powered plant built in FastAPI using GPT-4o to explore personality, dialogue design, and human-AI interaction.
**Main Talk:**
What about using certain CLIs puts a smile on your face and gets you telling all your friends and colleagues about it?
The Unix philosophy emphasizes simplicity, modularity, and the idea that programs should do one thing well and work together. However, CLI programs are primarily used by humans. Programs that you actually enjoy using can achieve both of these aims of composability and human-centeredness.
This talk explores what makes CLIs great: fast, trusted, and delightful. Through real-world examples from modern tools like uv, cargo, ripgrep, and GitHub CLI, you'll learn the design patterns that separate good CLIs from great ones.
Whether you're building package managers, creating developer tools, or just curious why modern CLIs feel so much better, you'll leave with a practical checklist of techniques to apply to any CLI tool you build.
**Agenda:**
7:00pm - Opening announcements
7:10pm - Opening Topic - Build an AI-powered, Sassy Speaking Plant
7:25pm - Main Topic - Designing Delightful CLIs with Python
7:50pm - Q&A

CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again.
We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all.
Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.
