❄️🌲 Winter Walk at the Brick Works 🌲❄️
❄️🌲 Winter Walk at the Brick Works 🌲❄️
❄️🌲 **Winter Walk at the Brick Works** 🌲❄️ **Fresh air, good company, and a perfect excuse to get out of the house!** Winter doesn’t mean staying indoors — it means layering up, grabbing a warm drink, and heading out for one of Toronto’s most beautiful seasonal walks. Join us for a winter adventure to the Evergreen Brick Works, where nature, history, and community come together. ✨ We’ll start with a scenic walk from **St. Clair Subway Station** down through the ravine to the Brick Works — a peaceful, snow-dusted escape that feels a world away from the city, even though we’re right in it. ❄️🌿 Once we arrive, you’ll have time to enjoy the **Brick Works Market** — grab something warm to eat, browse fresh produce, or treat yourself to a little local shopping. Afterward, we’ll find a cozy spot to sit, chat, eat lunch, and actually get to know each other. ☕🥪🤍 Then we’ll walk back together toward St. Clair — but if you’re feeling tired, cold, or just ready to head home, **buses are available** from the Brick Works to connect you to nearby subway stations. Easy and flexible! *** 📱 **Don’t forget to join our WhatsApp group** – [CLICK HERE!](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc?mode=ac_t) *** ### ❄️ Meetup Details ❄️ ⚠️ **Please Note:** This is a true winter walk. Don’t sign up if you’re not comfortable walking in cold or snowy conditions. ✔️ The walk happens in *almost* all weather ❌ The event will be cancelled only if it’s **-20°C or colder** 📍 **Meetup Location:** Outside **St. Clair Subway Station** — look for Mathew in his iconic **Moose Hat** 🫎 ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **11:00 AM** — I will only wait **5 minutes** (this is a firm 5 minutes because… winter ❄️😉) 💲 **Meetup Fee:** $5 cash 💵 in person or e-transfer 📲 to **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** 🏁 **End Spot:** Yonge & St. Clair *** ### 🧣 What to Bring 🧣 • Water • Good winter boots • Gloves & hat • Something warm to drink ☕ • A small snack • Guests are welcome *** ### 🌲 More About the Brick Works 🌲 Toronto has some incredible hidden hiking trails, and this one is truly special. From **1889 to the 1980s**, the Don Valley Brick Works was one of Canada’s most important brickyards. In the 1990s, the City of Toronto and the TRCA raised nearly **$6 million** to restore the site, transforming it into a stunning park and natural space that opened in 1996. Today, it’s an awe-inspiring urban oasis — especially in winter. Snow-covered paths, quiet ravines, wildlife sightings, and historic industrial ruins create a magical atmosphere you never quite know what you’ll encounter. ❄️🦊🌲 *** 🚶‍♂️ **Can I Leave Early?** Absolutely — leave anytime you like. The full experience takes about **3 hours**, including a relaxed break at the Brick Works. *** 💛 **REMEMBER:** You can just show up — or decide on the day if you’re not 100% sure. ⚠️ **NOTE:** Sometimes things happen and plans may change — please keep an eye out for updates. *** 👤 **Organizer:** Mathew Questions? 🌿 Toronto Women’s Hiking Meetup — Tommy Thompson Trail & City Skyline
This event is for women in their late 20s to 40s in Toronto who want a longer outdoor walk with open views, space, and a strong connection to the city’s waterfront nature, in the company of other women. Tommy Thompson Park offers one of the best lookout points of the Toronto skyline and feels far from the city despite being right downtown. This walk is ideal for those looking for a Toronto hiking or nature walk experience with scenery, movement, and curiosity. **What we’ll do** * Walk approximately 9 km, with the option to go farther if the group feels good and conditions allow * Stop at several lookout points with clear views of Toronto’s downtown skyline * Watch and search for wildlife sightings such as birds, bunnies, and other animals commonly seen in the park * Share the unique history and story of Tommy Thompson Park as we walk * After the walk, optionally head to a nearby cafe or food spot to relax and socialize Duration: Around 2–2.5 hours of walking, plus optional cafe time after **Why join** This walk offers a longer outdoor experience in Toronto, combining waterfront trails, skyline views, wildlife observation, and local history. A great option for women looking for Toronto hikes, waterfront walks, or nature-based outdoor activities with a social element. **Trail conditions & preparation** The route is mostly paved, but we will also walk on unpaved/off-road sections The park is open and exposed, so wind can be strong, especially closer to the lake Dress for winter conditions and changing weather Depending on the day, some sections may have snow or ice Sturdy walking shoes or boots with good grip are recommended **Disclaimer**: This group is intended to provide a calm and enjoyable space for women to spend time outdoors together. Free Clearing Out Energy You've Picked Up That's Not Yours Online
Free Clearing Out Energy You've Picked Up That's Not Yours Online
**Please note the time change to 7pm** Join me for an hour of getting worked on. Once a month, on the last Friday of the month, I will be hosting an online group event where I will clear you of energy you have picked up that does not belong to you. It is so easy to pick up energy (vibration) that does not belong to you. If you: work in a stressful job situation, spend time with people who are stressed, fearful or angry, take the subway or are a practitioner and work with people on a daily basis you may have attracted some of it. Just by the fact that it is not yours, it is non beneficial, but some of it can be painful or disorienting. Some of the signs that you have some "company", or energy that is not yours, are: feeling spacey, not able to focus being very tired for no apparent reason, mood shifts and sharp jabbing pain. Join me once a month to get clear.
