Greenwich Film Club - May - Rose of Nevada
Greenwich Film Club - May - Rose of Nevada
Join us for the May meeting of the Greenwich Film Club! Movie choice is 'Rose of Nevada'. Rose of Nevada is a British science fiction drama film written, edited, composed and directed by Mark Jenkin. Starring George MacKay and Callum Turner, the film tells the story of a fishing vessel that was lost at sea 30 years ago, and mysteriously reappears in the harbour of a fishing village. Watch the movie in your own time, ahead of the meetup. Then we'll meet up at 7pm at The Sail Loft pub in Greenwich (SE10 9FR) on Wednesday 13th May to discuss the movie! (Just ask for the table for Elisha when you get to the pub) Once the group has settled a bit - for future months, we'll probs organise an optional cinema trip to see the movie as a group at the Greenwich Picturehouse. Everyone welcome!

BECKENHAM & BROMLEY MYN VIRTUAL PUB EVENING
BECKENHAM & BROMLEY MYN VIRTUAL PUB EVENING
We hold two pub evenings a month on the first and third Wednesdays, with all the other Wednesdays being virtual pub evenings. We also normally have a monthly quiz on the last Wednesday of the month, during the virtual pub evening, at about 9pm, where a different member of our group prepares the questions to be used each month. This means that tonight is a standard virtual pub evening. Contact Roland in advance, preferably by e-mail, so that he can send you a link to click on at the start of the meeting. Please note the different arrangements for the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
Agentic A.I Hack Night London Hackathon + Drinks + Food
Agentic A.I Hack Night London Hackathon + Drinks + Food
All levels welcomed! Come and use Agentic A.I Skills to build an agent! Drinks / Food provided, and we're heading to the pub after the Hackathon. You MUST apply on Luma here: https://luma.com/hack-night-tessl-may13-2026?utm_source=meetup ## DO NOT RSVP here, you MUST RSVP on Luma, ## What's Hack Night? Five hours. One room full of builders. Zero fluff. As many demos as we can. Hack Night at Tessl is a London evening for people who would rather build than posture. You show up with an idea, find a team if you want one, spend a few focused hours shipping with a DJ in the background, and demo what you made before the night ends. Then we head to the pub. **When**: May 13\, 2026 \| 4:00 PM \- 8:45 PM BST **Where**: Tessl office, London **Who**: Hosted by : Adam Chan ([https://www.linkedin.com/in/itsajchan/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/itsajchan/?utm_source=luma)), Sam Hooti ([https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-h-b79850387](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-h-b79850387?utm_source=luma)) and HackerSquad with Tessl The Judges: Four people who've actually built things worth shipping. They'll see your demo and give you real feedback. **James Pimentel-Pinto** — First European iPhone developer and inventor of the hybrid app model. Built the first mobile banking, eCommerce, and sports apps in the world, with over 27 App Store #1s. Expect feedback on craft, originality, and whether what you shipped could actually live in users' hands. [https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamespp/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamespp/?utm_source=luma) **Vy Alechnavicius** — Design and product leader, startup advisor. Has worked in human-centric AI, product craft, and developer experience. Expect feedback on product sense and whether what you built actually respects the person using it. [https://www.linkedin.com/in/vaexperience/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/vaexperience/?utm_source=luma) **Lachlan Chavasse** — Former founder of useDaily (personal AI), now launching Frontier Tower in London. Expect feedback on what's actually novel, where the real leverage is, and whether your idea holds up outside the demo. [https://www.linkedin.com/in/lchavasse/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lchavasse/?utm_source=luma) **Pedro Proença** —Engineering leader who scaled a marketplace startup from 50 to 5,000 people, building the search and personalization that connected buyers and sellers across 40 countries. Then at big tech, helping tens of thousands of engineers ship safely to billions of users. Now at a scale-up working on AI adoption. Expect feedback on what pain you're actually solving, and whether people would keep using what you built. [https://www.linkedin.com/in/pedro-proenca](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pedro-proenca?utm_source=luma) ## Here's How It Works **4:00 PM - Doors Open**Check in, grab food, meet other builders, form groups, (or solo hack if you want) and decide what you're making. **4:30 PM - Opening Context**Quick welcome from the host and venue partner so everyone knows the flow for the night. **5:00 PM - Short Technical Remarks**If there are host or sponsor remarks, they stay short. The point is to get useful context, then get people building. **5:30 PM - Build Time**Heads down. Music on. Ship something. Use the time to test an idea, explore a tool, or finally build the thing you've been sitting on. **7:30 PM - Demo Time**Show what you made. Get feedback. See what everyone else shipped. **8:45 PM - Wrap Up**Final demos, shout-outs, and a clean finish to the night. And of course, Pub! We're heading to a pub nearby for a pint and a proper debrief. Come if you want to keep the conversation going. ## What You Need to Bring * Your laptop * An idea, or the willingness to find one there * A bias toward shipping Food will be handled. The space is handled. You just need to show up ready to build. ## Who Should Come? This is for developers, founders, technical operators, and AI-native product people who like building in the same room as other ambitious people. All skill levels are welcome as long as you're ready to participate. ## Why It's Worth It Hack Nights create the kind of pressure that helps you actually finish something. You leave with a working prototype, a new collaborator, or at minimum a stronger idea than the one you arrived with. ## Ready to Build? Register below once the page goes live. Space will be limited to the room capacity at Tessl. ## A big thanks to our sponsors for making this happen: ## Tessl Tessl helps you find, install, version, and evaluate the skills and context your coding agents rely on, so they behave consistently across tools and projects. [https://tessl.io/](https://tessl.io/?utm_source=luma) ## Neo4j Transform Your Data Into Knowledge for Deep, Contextual Understanding Connect and organize your data with a knowledge graph to see the bigger picture. Capture all the relationships with their context for deeper understanding. Unify silos to improve model accuracy and make better predictions [https://neo4j.com/](https://neo4j.com/?utm_source=luma) ## Hubble At Hubble, you can book 1:1 calls with experienced founders, operators, and investors who’ve actually done the thing. So you can learn faster, make better decisions, and keep moving forward. Real help from people who’ve been there. [https://www.hubble.social/](https://www.hubble.social/?utm_source=luma) ## Codex (OpenAI) Built to drive real engineering work From routine pull requests to your hardest problems, Codex reliably completes tasks end to end, like building features, complex refactors, migrations, and more, powered by OpenAI’s frontier coding models. [https://openai.com/codex/](https://openai.com/codex/?utm_source=luma) See you soon! Builders Collective [https://www.linkedin.com/company/thebuilderscollective/](https://www.linkedin.com/company/thebuilderscollective/?utm_source=luma) Location 210 Pentonville Rd, London N1 9JY, United Kingdom

Come chat at Compton's with other gay dads (13-05-26)
Come chat at Compton's with other gay dads (13-05-26)
Come for a chat over a bevvie upstairs at Compton's. LGDM is mainly gay guys who have kids, chatting over a drink. We know the particular struggles of being gay and a father. We make it work, for us it is normal. LGDMs are relaxing, fun, positive, encouraging meets. First-timers specially looked out for and warmly welcomed. People come along as singles and couples, younger, older, out, not out, still married to a woman, divorced, trans and everything in between. 'Wannabe-Dads' and women are welcome too. Every racial group and faith/no faith background has come and been warmly included. Basically everyone from every imaginable background is welcome. The only condition is that you have an interest in gay dads being the best and happiest dads they can be. If you RSVP "Yes" one of the leaders will know to be on the lookout for you but you're fine to just turn up too, we understand and respect some people’s need for confidentiality. Plenty of blokes go for non-alcoholic drinks. No pressure, no judgements and no charge for this meetup. Guys who've already been to at least one meetup can ping Glyn ([https://www.meetup.com/london-gay-dads-meetup/members/246662999/profile/](https://www.meetup.com/london-gay-dads-meetup/members/246662999/profile/)) to be added to the "LGDM Chat" WhatsApp group which we use mainly for social chat between meets (only house-rule is "no smut, no politics, no religion"), an invite should be sent with the "nice to see you!" that you get after attending.

**Welcome to The Big One — a night to celebrate, connect, and enjoy it all ✨** One year in — and we’re excited to share it with you. As we wrap up our first year at Crewhaus, we wanted to celebrate it all — properly. And what better way than bringing together everything we’ve built along the way. Throughout the night, you’ll move through familiar moments — small echoes of our different events, from the Crewhaus Social to the Social Passport and the Connection Game, alongside a few fun twists along the way. Different moments will unfold — giving you space to connect and experience all sides of the night in your own way. There’s no single path — just a space to explore, interact, and enjoy what unfolds. If it’s your first time, join us as we celebrate and step into our next chapter. **This night is ours to celebrate — together, as one.** Come be part of it. **Schedule:** **7:30 – 11:30 PM — ✨ The Big One** Step in, mingle, and move through the different moments and experiences unfolding throughout the night. **11:00 PM – 2:00 AM — 💃 Afterparty** If you’d like to continue the night with us, we’ll head over to Be at One, Monument to keep things going and share more moments together. **Crewhaus Exclusive:** 🍸 We’ve secured **2-for-£12 cocktails** **all night** at Be at One — exclusively for Crewhaus members. Sketchbook: Barbican
Sketchbook: Barbican
Let's sketch The Barbican, a brutalist masterpiece full of loads of twisty turns and a magnificent church. Let's meet outside the Barbican tube station at 1pm. Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend! Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella sketching away as the central meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please! Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils. The plan will be to meet at 1pm, sketch for a couple of hours and meet back and chat at 3pm. There are plenty of places around to grab coffee or a bite to eat, hopefully the weather is good so we'll be able to sit outside but if not we could consider ducking into a cafe. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- About Sketchbook London Every week we will choose a location around the magnificent city of London and draw people, buildings, pigeons, bins, anything you want.... No payment, no pressure, no need to sign up, just show up and draw for a couple of hours. All levels, abilities and professions welcome, bring a friend! Zero pressure to interact, network, impress in any way, this is just a way to get out and about and appreciate the joy of urban sketching and all the weird and wonderful creatures that inhabit this thriving metropolis. I am a storyboard artist working in animation and I am happy to discuss sketching techniques or give feedback on any work but this is by no means an exclusive event for artists, all are welcome :)

CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details: IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events! Should be another good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan
