MLSG - The Agent Harness Revolution
MLSG - The Agent Harness Revolution
This month, we return to the crowd-favourite topic of Agentic Systems & Harnesses! Talks: **"Patterns of Successful Agent Harnesses" - Sam Witteveen** In a talk he previously delivered at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas, Sam will focus on the core patterns and components of successful agents and harnesses, covering patterns from coding agents like Claude Code & Codex through personal agents like OpenClaw & Hermes. These patterns clearly show what is working in building modern agents. **"Trying to download more RAM for my life" - Raghav Bhardwaj** In this lightning talk, Raghav describes his month-long journey hacking in OpenClaw to build a personal agent OS. He goes over changes made for continuity across hundreds of projects, and turning scattered chats, files, tasks, tools, and memories into a working loop that can keep up with the mess. **"Local Models & Self-Evolving Harnesses" - Martin Andrews** In his talk, Martin will first explain how a number of the recently announced self-updating harness systems work. Then, in light of the recent turbulence in the world of Foundation Models, he'll talk about Local Models, and how to increase business robustness. **FOOD UPDATE :** Google has told us that **there WILL BE** pizza at the event \-\-\- Talks will start at 7:10pm (entry at 6:45pm) and end at around 9:00pm, at which point attendees can come up to the front for a bit of a chat with each other, and the speakers. Due to some recent security incidents at the venue please take note of the new DevSpace security procedures [https://bit.ly/devspace-security](https://bit.ly/devspace-security) Attendees will not be admitted later than 15min after the talks have started. As always, we're actively looking for more speakers - both '30 minutes long-form', and lightning talks. For the lightning talks, we welcome folks to come and talk about something cool they've done with keras, PyTorch, JAX and/or Deep Learning for 5-10mins (so, if you have slides, then #max=10). We believe that the key ingredient for the success of a Lightning Talk is simply the cool/interesting factor. It doesn't matter whether you're an expert or an enthusiastic beginner: Given the responses we have had to previous talks, we're sure there are lots of people who would love to hear what you've been playing with. If you're interested in talking, please just introduce yourself to Martin at one of the events.

Exclusive Event (For Invited Singles only) - 5-Star Hotel in City Hall
Exclusive Event (For Invited Singles only) - 5-Star Hotel in City Hall
To confirm your participation, please email **completeme@outlook.sg** or WhatsApp **(65)** **81252321** us at least 3 days before the event. Please note that marking yourself as “Interested” on Meetup does not confirm your slot. Kindly contact us early to secure your place. **Walk-ins are not allowed.** This is not a typical singles event. Our Private Singles Event is a carefully curated experience for invited singles who are genuinely seeking meaningful, committed connections with like-minded individuals. Guests are thoughtfully selected based on key factors such as age group, educational background, interests, religion, career, and family goals. We all naturally hope to meet someone who shares many of our preferred qualities. While it is wonderful when these align in one person, it may not always happen perfectly or immediately. This experience is thoughtfully designed around that. Instead of focusing on “finding everything in one person,” we bring together individuals with meaningful overlaps — creating space for genuine chemistry and connection to develop naturally. With a more curated guest list, this format is intentionally designed to improve mutual match compatibility more effectively compared to our usual speed dating events. By thoughtfully selecting participants based on key compatibility factors, we aim to create a higher-quality environment where conversations feel more aligned. To elevate the experience further, we have specially rented a private function room in a 5-star hotel, providing an elegant, comfortable, and premium setting for this exclusive gathering. **How it works:** All interested participants are required to register their interest by 14 June, 12pm first. It is free-of-charge. We will then carefully review and select the final list of invited singles by 17 June. Selected participants will be given 24 hours to **complete payment of $88 via PayNow or PayLah** to confirm their seat. If payment is not received within the timeframe, the slot will be released and offered to the next person on the waiting list. We are expecting a group of 16 - 24 participants, ensuring a comfortable and engaging atmosphere. Each participant will have the opportunity to meet everyone of the opposite gender. This is not a direct matchmaking service where we pair people one-to-one. Rather, most participants within the curated group will share some common overlaps and similarities, allowing individuals to naturally explore who they feel the strongest chemistry and connection with. At the end of the session, our mutual matching process helps your newfound connections continue beyond the event, giving meaningful connections a chance to grow. Your experience doesn’t end there. You will be invited to a private Telegram group for one week, providing the opportunity to continue conversations either in the main group or privately with your matches. Your ticket includes: ✨ 1 coffee/ tea & 1 slice of cake ✨ Guided group rotations ✨ Mutual matching ✨ A week-long facilitated Telegram chat group If you’re looking to meet new people, expand your circle, and potentially discover someone special — this is an event designed for you. **Cost:** Lady's Ticket $88 Gentleman's Ticket $88 This event is organised by **CompleteMe Dating Agency**. Founded in 2012, CompleteMe is a Singapore-based dating agency known for its curated dating events and speed dating sessions designed for working professionals. Having organised over 1,000 dating activities, the agency has helped countless singles meet, connect, and build meaningful relationships over the years. As a legit dating agency, CompleteMe conducts verification checks to ensure that all participants are legally single.

The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code* Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options. **YouTube Link** TBD
