Codex Community Build Meetup
Codex Community Build Meetup
Hello everyone! We're excited to announce **Vienna's first official** **Codex Community Build Meetup**, co-hosted with **Vienna AI Engineering** on Saturday, June 20! It's a full-day, hands-on event for learning to build with Codex (OpenAI's coding agent) and with AI agents in general. This isn't a lecture: bring your laptop, pick the track that fits your level, and spend the day building alongside mentors and Codex experts. Come with an idea or just show up ready to learn. The goal is to leave with something you made, a clearer sense of how AI agents fit into real software work, and new people in Vienna's builder community. Whether you're already using Codex or simply curious about coding agents, this is your chance to connect with peers and see how AI is transforming the way we build software. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚠️ IMPORTANT: [Register on Luma](https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0), not here! To avoid double-bookings, RSVPs on Meetup are limited to the Organizer Team only. The 170 spots are all on Luma, and that's the only place to sign up. 👉 Register here: [https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0](https://luma.com/9dmqcdn0) Check-in at the door uses the Luma guest list, so please make sure you're registered there. When you register, you'll pick the track that fits you best: 🟢 AI Beginner: a guided path from first setup to a small working project 🟡 AI Intermediate: practical Codex workflows for prototyping, testing, and shipping faster 🔴 AI Advanced: bring your own project and push a more ambitious build Each group has a suggested track and mentors on hand throughout the day. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 Why Luma? Some of our partners, like OpenAI, use Luma to coordinate events worldwide, so we use it for branded events like this one. To hear about future events first, subscribe to our Luma calendar: [https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering](https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering) 📍 Venue WU Wien, Library & Learning Center (LC) Welthandelspl. 1, 1020 Wien 🗓️ Schedule 09:30 - Coffee & networking 10:00 - Kickoff, Codex intro & mentor introductions 11:00 - Build session 1 12:30 - Lunch 13:00 - Build session 2 15:00 - Project presentations 16:30 - Networking 17:30 - Close 🎒 What to bring Just your laptop and charger. A project idea helps but is optional. Food, coffee, and drinks are on us. See you on Saturday, June 20 at WU! 🚀

ADVANCED badminton players wanted!
Thank you for visiting this event page! * Are you an advanced badminton player? If yes - WELCOME! * The earlier you sign up, the bigger your chance to reserve a place - once 10 players have signed up already, you move to the waiting list. * Once the waiting list has 3 or more members, I will try to book an additional court, but no guarantees. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options. **YouTube Link** TBD
