Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

Kick off the New Year by doing something positive and meeting new people. This is a voluntary cleanup organized by Alternative Dublin. We do this event every year! We are looking for volunteers to come help us clean up the canal Sunday at 11am. Meet new people and do something different on your Sunday morning. We are expecting 20-30 people and plan to have this as a social event and volunteering. We will be meeting at Portobello Canal at 11am and heading in both directions. Joachim Trier is a Norwegian director, who directed the acclaimed Oslo trilogy which includes the movies Reprise and Oslo. We will also discuss: **Knives Out** (2019), directed by Rian Johnson, an American director and producer perhaps best known for directing 'Star Wars: the Last Jedi'. This is the first of the 'Knives Out' movies, not to be confused with the two sequels. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
