Welcome to the Winterthur Badminton Meetup! 🏸👊😉🍻 We’re an international group created for badminton fans in and around Winterthur. Open to Expats and Swiss folks who want to train and socialise with fellow ‘badmintonists’. Or perhaps you’d like to learn the sport and meet new people? Whether doing it for fun or fitness, the idea is to enjoy and have a great (kickass) midweek. And everyone is welcome to join us for a postgame drink or two! See yah! 😊 Important: We ask everyone to respect others who wish to play. That means dropping out if you won’t make it to the game by updating your RSVP. Keep in mind: RSVPs close at 21:00 two days before the event to give others enough time to plan. Anyone on the RSVP list who did not show up at the event is considered a "no-show". No-shows will still have to pay the shared cost of the court and shuttles. We keep track of no-shows and deprioritise them in future games. Please try your best to pay on the same day by Twint or in cash. With Twint, write in the comment the date and your name for reference. Cost will be around 12-20 CHF, depending on the amount of players joining and if we have to rent 1 or 2 courts. Anybody can sign up! **Q: What about these seats?** A : We have enough seats for everyone but the first come first served rule applies! Especially since Kon-Tiki Comedy is popular, often it is packed inside, so come early for good seats. What's early? Anything before 19:00 & you will have your seat of choice. **Q : What about the late show?** Depending on the turnout a late show is also available most of the time, please check the ticket page to see if there is a late show option. Basically if you can buy tickets to the late show, it's happening, if it's not an option for a ticket it's not! Both shows might be consolidated into one if there's not enough ticket sold for the late show. In this case you will recieve an e-mail telling you so. **Q : Can I refund my ticket?** There are no refunds allowed because it becomes too much work for a simple Comedy Open Mic, so only buy your ticket if you know you're for sure going to be able to make it. Welcome cold lovers! We have been practising cold water plunges for over 4 years. We believe in the benefits of cold water exposure. The feeling you get after the swim is magnificent, it makes you feel alive. We have started this group to safely experience the cold water together. We motivate each other, do active warmup exercises, and also share our life stories with a warm coffee/tea afterwards. The event is every Sunday at 11:30, we meet at the Mythenquai Badi entrance no matter the weather. Take along: a large towel, comfortable bathing suit, flip-flops, and warm clothes (hat, gloves, etc). If you’re planning swimming out take along a bright swim buoy. The event is Free. IMPORTANT: Every participant takes responsibility for themselves when attending this event. Before attempting cold water exposure, individuals with health conditions (e.g., heart problems or hypertension) should seek advice from a healthcare professional. Safely acclimating the body to cold temperatures requires preparation and gradual exposure.

RSVPs are BINDING, and close 0900 Hrs two days before. It costs approximately between CHF 18-25 per person (depending on number of people);You can pay by Twint or cash.
