* If you have any questions then, message me.
***
**A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:**
*In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.*
*Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.*
*I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.*
*In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.*
**THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**
Climb & Chill 🧗♂️☕️
What's up Friends! 👋
Ready for some bouldering fun? Boulder-what? 🤔 It’s climbing (FR: escalade, le bloc) up to 4.5m high without ropes—and in my case, without much hope! 😂✨
It’s a super fun indoor activity, but be warned: it does require a certain level of physical fitness and/or skill. Most importantly, though, it requires awesome company—which we’ve got! 😎
The Idea:
📍 Meeting Point: For those arriving at 15:00, we’ll meet at the cafeteria (next to the billiards table).
Feel free to start earlier or later—just drop me a message or write in the group chat so we can meet up.
💪 Stay & climb as long as you want - venue closes at midnight!
🥤 Recharge: If you’ve had enough climbing for the day (we usually do this after 2 hours of climbing), we may head back to the cafeteria (or to the rooftop if it's sunny🌤️) for snacks, drinks & games. Cafeteria closes at 22:00.

💦 Hydration is key! Bring a water bottle.
🔐 Lockers available, but bring your own padlock.
🚿 Changing rooms & showers on-site.
👕 Wear comfy sports clothes—it gets intense!
🧴 Only liquid magnesium is allowed (for grip) - in reality most people use powder🤫
👟 Thinking of going regularly? Bouldering shoes are a great investment! (Decathlon: ~45-65€ per pair.)
⚠️ Safety First!
Bouldering is fun, but safety comes first! Stay alert, know your limits, and don’t take unnecessary risks. Enjoy responsibly! 💪

Bringing love to life: A cacao & drum ritual to nurture your 2026 intentions
**A cacao & drum ritual to nurture your 2026 intentions**
✨ About the Ritual
Early February carries a quiet but potent energy.
Winter is not yet over — and yet, beneath the surface, life is already moving.
This ritual is an invitation to **slow down, soften, and consciously nourish the seeds of what you wish to bring to life in 2026**.
Cacao, as a sacred plant medicine, supports the opening of the heart — not by force, but by gently expanding our capacity for **self-love, compassion, and inner listening**.
As a plant, cacao also reconnects us to the Earth, reminding us that growth happens through care, patience, and presence.
Supported by breath, sound, movement, and community, this ritual offers a grounded space to:
* reconnect with what truly matters to you
* clarify intentions for the year ahead
* embody love not as an idea, but as a lived experience
***
🌿 What to Expect \| Ritual Flow
The experience unfolds in a carefully held and progressive way:
* **Welcoming & arrival**
Grounding into the space and the group
* **Breathing and somatic practices**
To calm the nervous system and prepare the body
* **Guided cacao ritual**
Drinking high-quality, ritual-grade cacao, prepared with intention
Accompanied by a gentle guided meditation
* **Drum meditation**
A deep, rhythmic journey to support inner clarity and emotional release
* **Conscious dance**
Allowing insights and emotions to move through the body
* **Closing circle**
Integration, sharing (optional), and grounding before returning to daily life
No previous experience with cacao ceremonies, meditation, or dance is required.
***
🤎 About the Cacao
The cacao used in this ceremony is:
* **100% pure, ritual-grade cacao**
* ethically sourced
* prepared slowly and mindfully, with intention for the process and the group
Cacao is **not** a psychedelic substance. Its effects are subtle, heart-opening, and grounding.
***
⚠️ Important Health Information (Please Read)
Cacao is generally safe for most people, but **it is important that you inform the host *before registering*** if you have any of the following:
* serious heart conditions
* uncontrolled high blood pressure
* are taking antidepressants (especially MAO inhibitors)
* are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are unsure, you are warmly invited to contact the host to check whether this experience is suitable for you.
This helps ensure the ritual remains safe, respectful, and supportive for everyone.

* want to set intentions in a **felt, embodied way**, not just mentally
* are curious about cacao, sound, and movement as tools for inner work

to listen,
to feel,

Fifteen-year-old Malou grows up in a small town where she stands out at the local rowing club. Her mother is often absent, and she feels left out within the team. Only her brother Max allows her to truly be herself. When Malou develops feelings for Nouria, Max's girlfriend, she finds herself caught in a confusing love triangle. During a summer marked by desire and rivalry, Malou is torn between family ties and the search for her own identity. To fully accept herself, she will have to make choices that could jeopardise her relationship with Max.

Drinks and Games 🍺🎲
What's up Friends! 👋
Let's meet at Le Pantin for another round of games and laughs.
Special theme: light strategy games (Catan 🐑🪵🌾 or similar).
Games: 🎲 The pub has a fair collection of games. Feel free however to bring any of your own favorites.
Food & Drinks: Le Pantin serves only drinks🍸🍺🍹, however you’re also welcome to bring your own snacks 🍟🍩🍿 to enjoy during the games.
Ordering: 🤑 At least one drink is mandatory - this is how we support cool places like this!
Timing: ⏱️ We kick off at 14:00, and you’re welcome to stay for as many games as you like. Joining later? Just let me know in advance in the chat so we don’t slow down the start 😊
🚦If you find yourself on the waiting list but you absolutely want to join or if you have any other question - feel free to contact me directly via the chat.
📢 Further details may be shared via the group chat or via DM 💬. Make sure to check your messages 👀 at least on the day before the event to avoid missing any mega important 🙄 announcements.
🐈⬛ The Friends Code:
👉 Which games are played will be agreed by the group
👉Depending on preferences and group size we usually split into several tables
👉 Got a favorite game? Bring it along or drop a suggestion in your reply
👉 Can't make it? Cancel on time so someone on the waitlist can grab your spot
👉 Don't show up (or show up at your own risk:) if you are on the waiting list. There may be no space for extra players and you risk to get disappointed.
See you folks 😉
NEW TIME-- 6 PM!! Deep Conversation-- Question Chosen in Session
Welcome to our weekly event in the upstairs room of The Sister Café, rue Chair et Pain 3, one block from the Grand Place. Please get there early enough to order your drink at the bar first. Thank you!
After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations.
Past questions have been wide and not confined to academic philosophy:
What is a genuine friend?
Is social media turning us into emotional zombies?
Do we lose some of the experience of things by defining them?
Are we driven by sex?
Is loneliness a personal failure?
Is morality relative?
**Crucially, be kind and respectful and generous** in your disagreements; remember how much you personally enjoy someone else proving you wrong before celebrating your cutting counterexamples.
Sunday Coffee in the Marolles @Bar Mazette
This Weekend Morning Coffee Meeting - Sunday Edition - will take place at Bar Mazette, in the heart of the Marolles, and will be hosted by Emilia and Adriano. Newbies welcome!
🗓 **Sunday, 8 February**
⏰ **from 10:30**
👥 **limited to 12 people only**
**Address:**
**Bar Mazette**
**Place du Jeu de Balle 4**
**1000 Brussels**
This is one of our Sunday editions, which are usually meant to test new places outside our usual coffee locations. These editions are smaller and more experimental, and focus as much on the place and the neighbourhood as on the group itself.
***
### ⏰ Timing
The **core time** of the event is **10:30 – 12:00**.
That’s when everyone should be there.
Because this is a **very small group (12 people maximum)**, **registration is obligatory**.
***
### ⚠️ IMPORTANT — please read carefully
Places are usually **very limited** on Sundays.
Please **do not register if you are unsure you can come**.
If you register and later realise you can’t make it, **cancel as soon as possible, latest on Saturday afternoon.**
There is often a **waiting list**, and it’s only fair to give people on it a real chance to join. Registering and not showing up means someone else stayed home for nothing.
Thank you for being fair and respectful.
If you’re on the waiting list, please **check your status on Saturday evening at the latest**.
See you on Sunday ☕
***
### 📍 The place & the area
Mazette is located right next to **Place du Jeu de Balle**, where Brussels’ best-known flea market takes place every Sunday morning.
The area is busy, sometimes messy, full of objects with past lives and people just passing through. It’s a very typical Marolles atmosphere.
Mazette opened in 2022 as a **cooperative project**. It was created by people who wanted a place that belongs to the neighbourhood and works with it. It’s not only a bar, and not only about beer.
Part of the beer is brewed on site, with the tanks located below the bar. The food follows the same logic: bread baked in-house, a short menu, seasonal ingredients, and dishes that are simple and meant to be shared. Nothing complicated, nothing rushed.
The place also works as a neighbourhood meeting point. Locals come in after the flea market, others stay for events or just to sit for a while. Conversations overlap, people stay longer than planned, and the space naturally shifts between café, bar and meeting place.
For a small Sunday morning coffee meeting, it’s a very fitting setting: informal, local, and closely connected to the Marolles around it

**New Dojo Location!**
**Draft Day Columbus**
1130 Dublin Road
Columbus, OH 43215
We're going to try a new dojo location for a few weeks and see how it works
Dojos are informal Python group study sessions where everyone interested in Python gathers to learn about Python, help others with Python, or just hang out. Everyone is welcome from Python beginners to experts. Bringing a laptop is encouraged (we'll have extension cords and power strips). If there's something you want to learn leave a comment on this invite so we can plan ahead.
We're looking for topic suggestions and people interested in presenting at our monthly meetings. To this end we've set up a survey form at [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/15eBKF1nQQ2XS5gzD4rvhVRHMBEj7lJtHuA9wXupS3Uc](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/15eBKF1nQQ2XS5gzD4rvhVRHMBEj7lJtHuA9wXupS3Uc)

"The Python library `dlt` provides a powerful [REST API toolkit](https://dlthub.com/docs/dlt-ecosystem/verified-sources/rest_api/basic) to ingest data. Combined with our [LLM scaffolds](https://dlthub.com/workspace) and [MCP server](https://dlthub.com/docs/hub/features/mcp-server), you can build a custom connector for any of the 8k+ available sources in 10 minutes by following this guide. Building with LLMs is an iterative process. We will follow this general workflow and give practical tips for each step."
