"Roll The Dice" Storytellers Season Finale
"Roll The Dice" Storytellers Season Finale
### ROLL THE DICE 🎲 Some nights are carefully planned. Others ask you to surrender to chance: A random encounter becomes a lifelong friendship. A missed train rewrites your future. One tiny decision sends your story spinning in a direction you never saw coming. On July 2, we celebrate coincidence, chaos, lucky accidents, bold risks, and the beautiful unpredictability of being human. Because sometimes, the best stories begin when you **[ROLL THE DICE.](https://zurichstorytellers.ch/events/roll-the-dice)** ### AN EVENING OF STORIES For our summer season finale, we’re inviting a handful of storytellers to take the stage with true stories inspired by twists of fate, unexpected turns, lucky accidents, and beautiful randomness. No competition. No open mic. Just an evening of curated stories to carry us into the summer break. ### EXPECT A LITTLE SUMMER MAGIC Think warm summer evening, folded-open windows, stories drifting into the park, and a few surprises along the way. We’ve prepared a couple of playful moments to bring strangers together, spark unexpected conversations, and add a little extra chance to the night. Come for the stories. Stay for the atmosphere. ZH3 Hash # 1736: Rhein and Vines
ZH3 Hash # 1736: Rhein and Vines
A varied tour of vineyards, woods and fields. Bag drop and beer stop in Eglisau not far from the station. You can swim at the beer stop. There are a couple of restaurants nearby for an on-after meal and drinks or come back to Saddam‘s place for the Spain match. From Zürich get the S9 18:07 from HB, 18:09 Hardbrücke, 18:15 Oerlikon. Walk from Eglisau station towards the river. Hare is Saddam. **Where**: See location. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards. **All Welcome:** If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. Thursday Evening - Aerial in Low Silk with Simona
In this gentle aerial yoga class, we use a soft fabric hammock suspended just 10 cm above the floor. The hammock supports your body as you move, helping you stretch more deeply, improve flexibility, and build strength in a new way. With the fabric holding part of your weight, you can explore each pose with more ease, sometimes with a soft sway, sometimes with a bit of challenge. We combine mobility, strength, and relaxation, and finish with a peaceful Savasana in the hammock. Gordon Party N’1
Gordon Party N’1
Food is better shared. Gordon Nights is a recurring community gathering in Zurich for people who believe that and want to actually do something about it. Each edition is a low-key, high-spirit evening: good company, honest drinks, and the occasional surprise. We partner with local causes because a good night out should leave something behind. Gordon Party N°01 kicks off on July 4th at Provitreff in Zürich. 100% of ticket proceeds go to Tischlein deck dich, fighting food insecurity in Switzerland. Come for the vibe, stay for what it stands for. Gordon is a Zurich-based app rethinking how you plan meals and shop groceries but these evenings aren’t product demos. They’re for anyone curious about food, community, and doing things a little differently in this city. Who shows up: home cooks, food lovers, expats, locals, app users, and people who just heard about it from a friend. What to expect: a real venue, a curated drink menu, good music, and a crowd worth meeting. No dress code. No pitch. Just people. gordonapp.com

ZH3 Hash # 1737: Independence day: Red, White, and Booze
ZH3 Hash # 1737: Independence day: Red, White, and Booze
Join us in celebrating ’Murica in Switzerland the way the Founding Fathers almost certainly would have wanted: sweating, floating, drinking, and grilling meat. We’ll start with a short run through Zürich — because freedom isn’t free, and neither is cardio — before trading pavement for patriotism and floating down the Limmat on inflatable vessels of liberty, fueled by decidedly non-American beer. After the float, we’ll gather for circle, questionable songs, and a BBQ dedicated to the timeless American art of turning perfectly good meat into charcoal. Because if there’s one thing more American than celebrating independence, it’s exporting the celebration to a neutral country and making it everyone else’s problem. ⚠️ MANDATORY EQUIPMENT ⚠️ 🩱 A BATHING SUIT — We ARE floating down the Limmat after the run, but we're skipping the nude section of Werdinsel, so come dressed to get wet. 🛟 A FLOTATION DEVICE — Inflatable flamingo, rubber ring, pool noodle, inflatable Uncle Sam, a repurposed keg, your own sense of self-worth — whatever keeps you vaguely above water. You don't have to bring one. You can just sink. That's also an option. We'll pour one out for you at the On-On. But if you DO bring one, make it enormous and humiliating — the bigger the inflatable the more beer you receive at the circle, and that's basically the entire point of being alive. Bonus down-down to whoever brings something bald eagle themed in honor of 250 glorious years of America doing America things, even in Switzerland. Down-downs will be awarded for: arriving without a flotation device, arriving with a flotation device that is *too tasteful*, anyone who says "but the Swiss don't celebrate the 4th of July" (YOU DON'T SAY), and anyone whose inflatable sinks before the On-On. **Where**: See location. Typically within Zurich Zone 10. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 1:50 pm to start at 2:00 pm. Coffee & Walk: Women in business networking
Coffee & Walk: Women in business networking
Join us for an informal networking walk with our women’s business group. We will meet in front of Starbucks Silhcity at **10:15**. Anyone who would like to grab a coffee can do so before we start walking together at **10:30**. The walk will take us through **Allmend Wiese** and will last around **1.5 - 2 hours**. The idea is to keep the atmosphere relaxed and natural: we’ll walk, talk, switch conversation partners, and get to know each other while on the go. This meetup is a chance to connect with other women in business, exchange experiences, share ideas, and build new professional relationships in an informal setting. ☔️ Please note: if the weather is very bad, we may need to postpone the meetup. 👟 The walk takes ci. 1,5-2 hours. It’s mostly flat with a short up the hill section but it’s NOT a hike. But comfortable shoes are recommended! 📸 Photos may be taken during the event. If you are uncomfortable being photographed, please let the organizer know before or at the beginning of the meetup. ☎️ I may also ask you to share your WhatsApp number so I can keep you updated about our exact location in case you arrive late. Looking forward to walking, chatting, and connecting with you!

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
