Meliink Sketch walk in Zurich
Hi everyone,
I'm organizing a small sketch walk in Zurich.
The idea is simple: we walk through a few beautiful spots in the city, stop to do fun drawing exercises, learn a few stories about the places and meet new people.
No drawing experience is needed at all. This is more about creativity and slowing down than making perfect art.
I'll provide paper and basic materials.
I'm doing the first one on **Sunday, 21st of June, from around 10 AM to 1 PM.**
After the walk, anyone who wants is welcome to join for a relaxed coffee and chat.
Everything will be in English, and absolute beginners are very welcome.
I enjoy sketching and exploring cities, and after living in Zurich for a while I thought it would be fun to bring those things together.

Our first event will be a small group (6–8 people).
This is a pay-what-you-want activity. The ticket here is free to reserve your spot, and donations are welcome at the end of the walk via Cash or Twint.

Let's continue and together enjoy the ***International Yoga Day,*** ***21 June*** with a classical yoga session by the Obersee lake and experience the powerful connection between self and nature.

This international Yoga day raises global awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. June 21 is also the longest day for maximum illumination and energy from the sun.
By the lake first we'll ground ourselves and then energize ourselves through classical yoga, breathing techniques, meditation, and deep relaxation. The goal is to calm our mind, and restore inner balance. Surrounded by fresh air and the soothing presence of lake water, discover how nature supports healing, clarity, and renewed energy.
After the session, enjoy an optional refreshing dip in the Obersee lake to complete this memorable experience.
Later we'll enjoy our picnic lunch.

Football World Cup 2026 is on-going. Mexicans love it, Americans are confused (Football / Soccer), ad Canadians only think about ice hockey.

See location. Machiavelli Bar. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. At 21:00 we'll be back at the bar to eat (grill), drink and watch Switzerland - Bosnia.
**When:**
We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.

If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

Hared by the amalgamation monstrosity Slippery Nob, come join us as we stare death into the eyes and laugh at its feeble attempt at melting us in the blistering summer heat.
You can expect many ups and downs around Baden, followed by an optional On-In at the Fortyseven bath/sauna area where we can truly stress our drunk bodies in even more heat!
Bag drop will be provided, so bring your towel, swimming trunks and desire to melt your skin away!

Direction to the station
At the station, take the central underpass and head towards Baden Zentrum (east side). At the end of the underpass (in the underground concourse) turn left and walk past the station ticket counters. Leave the concourse between LIDL and the Ledergerber clothing store and head towards the bus station. At the last bus platform, make for the circular ramp and descend it to the parking bays on level -1. The Mobility location occupies bays 20 to 23 and 40 to 45.

Sugarbush Trail Hike
Join us for a great 2 mile hike through Blendon Woods Metro Park, hiking the Sugarbush Trail. This is a largely wooded hike on a flat dirt trail with some tree roots and rocks. Please meet us at the start of the trail in the Nature Center parking lot.

**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.

A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.

This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*

* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.

* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.

Short North Street Skate | Weekly Rollout
Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together.
These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus.

We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert.
