Tancheerna 💃 Dance Friending for Absolute Beginners 🎶
**The most enjoyable dance friending event on a Friday night 🌤️💃✨**
This is an OPEN-AIR event! We are dancing outdoors on a soft athletic surface. Restrooms and changing areas are available at a small restaurant nearby. 🚻
The night starts at 7:00 PM with chill music, socializing, and basic footwork. If you want to level up your dancing, be there at 7! Later, we flow into casual dancing, mixing European classics (Waltz, Polka) with modern Balfolk and chill Latin vibes (Forró).
✅ **No experience needed** → Come at 7 PM to learn the basics! 👣
✅ **No partner needed** → We rotate! Feel free to ask anyone taking a break. 👋
✅ **No dress code** → Wear comfy sneakers or go completely barefoot. 👟
✅ **No pressure** → As long as you can sway to the rhythm, you belong! 🌟
✅ **Free entry** → If you love the vibe, hit us with a 5-star review 🌟 or leave a voluntary tip via QR code (suggested 200 CZK).
If you love to move and want to make new friends, simply show up on Friday and let’s dance!! 💃🔥
*Tančírna (pronounced tahn-cheer-nah) comes from the Czech word "tančit" (to dance) and literally means "a place for dancing".*
**Pro-tip:** Pack a water bottle to stay hydrated 💧 and a hoodie for when the sun goes down! Ordering drinks/food at the local restaurant is possible, but it breaks the flow, so we usually do it after we wrap up. 💃🔥

Philosophical seminar: How to live - according to thinkers and religions
This open seminar by Albert Hoffmann explores how different people and traditions have approached the question, “How should we live?”
We will look at ideas from philosophers, thinkers, and religious traditions and explore different answers from various cultures and time periods.
The seminar is intended as an invitation to reflection rather than a definitive answer.
About Albert Hoffmann: https://sophonautik.ch/english/
It will take place in the “17. listopadu” dormitory next to the Faculty of Humanities. The dormitory has two buildings, and the seminar will take place in the northern one. Let me know when you are next to it, and I’ll pick you up. If you’re anywhere else and have trouble finding it, just let me know.

Filozofická kavárna (Café Philo): přemýšlet a diskutovat
Filozofování o životě a o všem ostatním pro všechny, bez vstupného a bez přihlášky:

✨ Masterpieces & Morning Air: A Sunday Turn at Kodl Gallery
**Hey art lovers,**
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a person in possession of a free Sunday morning must be in want of some fine art.
I’m playing this one a bit "last minute," but honestly, some things are too good to miss. So I’ve decided to treat myself (and you!) to something truly special this Sunday.
We are heading to the **Kodl Gallery** for their spectacular **pre-auction exhibition**. This is a rare chance to see world-class masterpieces from private collections before they go under the hammer and disappear into private homes again. It’s high-end art, but without the museum queues. The exhibition is free of charge.
📍 **The Plan:**
* **The Gallery:** We’ll spend around 90mins soaking up the beauty of 19th and 20th-century art.
* **The Secret Walk:** If we’re in the mood, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the hidden, quiet backstreets of the Old Town—away from the tourist crowds.
* **The Coffee Finale:** We’ll finish at a charming hidden coffee bar to chat about our favorite pieces over a caffeine fix and maybe something sweet.
💰 **Contribution:** **50 CZK** (A small contribution to help cover the Meetup platform fees).
No pressure, just good vibes, great art, and even better company. It’s the perfect way to recharge before the new week kicks in.
Can’t wait to see you there! 🖼️☕️✨

Duty vs. Results: What Makes an Action Moral?
When judging morality, should we prioritize **intentions/duty** or **outcomes/results**? It introduces two influential philosophers as representatives of these approaches.
* **Immanuel Kant (deontology):** An action is moral when it is done from **duty** and follows rational, universal principles (the **categorical imperative**). Certain acts—like lying—are wrong regardless of the consequences; you can’t do a wrong thing for a right reason.
* **John Stuart Mill (utilitarian consequentialism):** The morality of an action is determined by its **effects**, specifically how much **happiness/well-being** it produces. Mill argues that some pleasures are “higher” than others, and that good intentions don’t redeem harmful outcomes.
## Discussion Questions
1. **The lying dilemma:** A murderer comes to your door and asks if your friend is hiding inside. Kant would say you must not lie.
2. **Can good intentions rescue a bad outcome?**
3. **The organ harvest problem:** A surgeon has five patients dying of organ failure and one healthy patient in for a checkup. Killing the one to harvest organs would save five lives, and the math works out for the utilitarian. Why does this feel so deeply wrong? Is that feeling a point in Kant's favor, or just a bias we should overcome?
4. **Do rules need exceptions?** Kant insists moral rules must be universal, with no exceptions. But most of us can imagine extreme scenarios where any rule seems like it should bend. Does the need for exceptions fatally undermine deontology, or is the strength of the system precisely that it refuses to bend?
5. **Who gets to calculate the consequences?** Utilitarianism asks us to maximize good outcomes, but we're notoriously bad at predicting consequences. If we can't reliably know the results of our actions, is it practical to base our entire moral system on outcomes? Does this uncertainty push us back toward rules and principles?
6. **Everyday morality:** Think about a real moral decision you've made recently, even a small one. Did you reason more like a Kantian (what's the right thing to do in principle?) or more like a utilitarian (what will produce the best result?)? Do most people naturally lean one way?
7. **Justice vs. the greater good:** A town can prevent a deadly plague by sacrificing one innocent person. The greater good is clearly served. But is it just? Can an action be morally right and deeply unjust at the same time?
8. **The big synthesis question:** Are these two systems actually opposed, or do they often arrive at the same answers by different paths? Is it possible that we need both: rules to guide us in the moment and consequences to evaluate systems and policies over time?

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply.
### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?**
Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being.
Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment.

* **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection.
## **The Ideal Group Leader**
The ideal group leader
* Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community.
* Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us.

* An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms.
* Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus.
## **Our Impact**

### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based**
Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission!
Every contribution helps us:
* **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization.
* **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year.
By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic.
