Come by anytime during the event and try two portable digital microscope prototypes (one with 100X magnification, another with 150X) in the park. We’ll set up at the meeting point with microscopes, basic sample tools, and a few example samples. When you arrive, we’ll show you how use the microscope and what kinds of things nearby might be interesting to look at. After the short introduction, you can walk around the park, collect your own samples, and observe them under the microscope. The microscope can connect to your own phone or iPad through wifi, so you can take and save photos or videos directly on your device. This is a casual drop-in event, so you don’t need to arrive exactly at the starting time or stay for the whole session. You can use the microscope as long as you want, if this doesn't prevent another attendee from using it. Parents are welcome to bring children.
