June 12th Fun Friday Improv Jam!
#### **Come and play, YAY!**
*\*\*Note: ticket must be purchased to attend event, link below. An RSVP does not reserve your place at the jam\*\**
An improv jam is a fun inclusive event where absolutely all are welcome, no improv experience required. We all play some improv games together, have some laughs, meet other improvisers and generally be merry.
Whether you've taken improv classes before or you will be dipping your toes into improv for the first time, we'll be happy to play with you.
**Note:**
* Session will start promptly at 7pm, we highly recommend arriving 15 mins early to be ready to begin
* This is **not** a show/performance/open mic night - you will be joining as a participant in games
* This is **not** a workshop/class - the focus is more on play than learning
* Wear something comfortable as you will be moving around
* ***Tickets go on sale 1 week prior to event.***

Hong Kong Stories Presents: On a Whim
Viral Indonesian comedian Annie Yang headlines Hong Kong for her first time ever!
Annie Yang told jokes in several countries, on national TV, and on Comedy Central; all with a passport that barely works. She specializes in dark, honest comedy with a cynical twist, because someone has to say the things people all thinking. Annie was a finalist on Stand Up Comedy Indonesia (SUCI); a prestigious national stand-up competition in Indonesia.
Annie’s material is personal, punchy, and not always polite, but it’s real. And that’s what keeps the crowd coming back.

Gaining Full Visibility of Operations and Carbon Costs Seminar
# Gaining Full Visibility of Operations and Carbon Costs Seminar
Rising costs, fluctuating delivery schedules, and increasingly complex cross-regional operations—together with ESG requirements such as the EU’s introduction of the Digital Product Passport (DPP)—have made carbon emissions and carbon costs a growing pressure. These factors are continuously eroding the profitability and competitiveness of Hong Kong manufacturers.
If companies continue to rely on manual processes and fragmented systems, management will find it difficult to gain a timely and holistic view of both operational and carbon costs, establish effective management practices, and make critical decisions.
In this seminar, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), together with Epicor, will focus on new quality productive forces, exploring how enterprises can enhance supply chain transparency and predictability through data-driven management. The session will also demonstrate how to strengthen cost control, stabilise delivery, and address ESG requirements and global competitive challenges.\

**Why we host the event in Central Market?**
In 1990, the Central Market building was graded as a Grade III historic building by the Antiquities Advisory Board.
After multiple rounds of study and consultation, the revitalization project for the Central Market building began in October 2017. Upon completion, a portion of the market stalls will be preserved.
the Central Market's historical significance makes it an attractive venue for hosting various types of events that can celebrate Hong Kong's rich heritage and cultural identity. Please grab a dink and enjoy!

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you were quoted in *Truth in Comedy*, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**!
The idea behind improvised comedy is to create entire scenes from scratch. A suggestion is taken from the audience and laughter is built on the spot. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway, Make Some Noise,* or *Wild 'n Out*; it can also be done in a longer way, to tell a complicated story, like *TJ & Dave*.
Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and FREE!) weekly comedy event, brings the games for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Afterward, many members will hang out in *Gresso's* itself and get to know each other. Not only is this a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, your public speaking, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime, and you do that while laughing your butt off!
Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "*Yes, And*" that you'll have a blast!
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for June is "Roadtrip"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!
• What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write!
