Evening Bike Ride at Brushy Creek Trail East
Come out for a casual evening bike ride along Brushy Creek Trail East. We roll at 6:05pm and plan to ride for about an hour. Distance is flexible depending on the group's pace. The trail is fully paved, so any type of bike works. Road bike, mountain bike, hybrid, whatever you've got. All skill levels welcome. Bring water and lights just in case we're out past sunset.
Austin Bitcoin Club
Please RSVP as space will be limited.
**When you arrive:**
* Someone will be at the main door to greet you and let you in. The elevator will already be unlocked and waiting for you.
* Once inside, just press 2 and it will take you straight up to the second floor.
**Just in case something doesn’t work as planned:**
* You can also walk through the Capital One Café (it’s open to the public) and take the elevator from there, or shoot a quick message on Signal to Jack (@jackless.09) and he’ll come right down to get you.
If this is your first time at one of our meetups, we have a few simple guidelines to enhance everyone’s experience:
* our meetups and events have a simple and singular focus: **Bitcoin**. All of our topics and discussions will be centered around Bitcoin, the global monetary network, and bitcoin, the reserve asset. If you are interested in crypto tokens, stocks, blockchains, altcoins, alternative investing, NFTs, etc. that is completely fine. There are a number of other meetups to join. This meetup however is just focused on Bitcoin
* please **no photos** unless no one is identifiable in the background. We respect everyone’s privacy and want everyone to feel comfortable as they participate
* while the group discussion is going, please keep side conversations to **none.** With the acoustics of the room and the number of people we expect, any conversations will echo and be a distraction for those who are trying to listen many of whom have traveled a long way to participate
* please pick up after yourself
* Street **parking** or the paid garage across from our building on East 6th (515 Congress)

Arduino and Microcontroller Meetup
We will be meeting in person and online via Zoom to discuss and share projects and knowledge related to microcontroller and microcomputer projects using the Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and others.
Beginners and Experts are welcome to attend and participate!
A rough agenda for the meeting shall be:
\* **Ask the Arduino Expert:** Get project help from the experts. Got a problem with a project you're working on, or need advice on getting started? Get in-person and online help to get you going! We'll go around the room and see what each person needs help with.
\* **Show-and-Tell:** Got a digital electronics project to share? Talk about it informally and share what you've learned! It can be as simple as a Blink project or as complex as an Edge AI application. You do not need to be an expert in the subject matter.
\* **Open Day:** Work on your projects during the meeting. You can listen, share, or get going on your projects, whatever you decide! Bring your soldering iron and tools.
\* **Build a Project Team**: Looking for project help on a longer-term basis? Share your project and find willing participants to help you finish it!
For the best possible experience, please attend in person and bring a laptop with a USB port, and your project or project ideas. We will have several Arduino computers available to borrow and experiment with during the meeting, including the new [Arduino Uno Q](https://www.arduino.cc/product-uno-q).
App Developer Coffee @ ThoroughFare
This month we are meeting at ThoroughFare in Mueller. You are invited to join us for a cup of coffee and a fun conversation.
**Agenda**
10:00 AM Introductions and catchup
11:00 AM Lightning talks (5 minute limit)
11:45 AM Wrap up
This monthly community event offers a chance to meet and chat with app developers and other people interested in software development. Open to professionals, hobbyists and anyone who wants to be a part of the local developer community.
**Parking**
There are paid parking garages and businesses validate parking for two hours.
Easy-Mid problems
Bring a whiteboard or a laptop or a piece of paper. We will be solving 1 easy and 1 medium problem on LeetCode.
We have no rules for being late or leaving early, you can be late and start from the second problem or do the first one and leave.
The main idea is to work together on it, share thoughts and discuss a solution.
For those who don't like the time pressure during the session, I will be posting problems in the comments for the session 1 day in advance.
Open Play Pickleball - all levels - must register via link provided
Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners.
Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear.
Players **Must*** use this link to register:
https://apexpbclubs.podplay.app/community/events/f3e50850-bc6e-4e72-bab1-fe3afd46d4a6
Spots are limited so sign up early. Max of 32 people (via Apex link).
Cost is $12 per person ($10.80 for Apex members).
Apex is an indoor facility with a pro shop and restaurant/bar on site. You do not need to be a member to play.
If you are new to pickleball or need a refresher, we typically dedicate one of the courts for learning or Experienced players help you learn the game rules and scoring. I also recommend beginners see https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/
The purpose of this group is to enjoy the game and introduce new people to the pickleball community. By signing up you agree to be willing to play with people who are at different skill and experience levels, and show kindness and respect to all players at all times.

Hybrid MI Python: Bridging conda and PyPI Ecosystems
**Talk Description**
If you've ever wondered why pip install numpy and conda install numpy aren't the same thing, you've bumped into one of Python packaging's oldest fault lines. Conda and PyPI evolved to solve different problems, one for compiled scientific libraries, one for pure-Python code, and the gap between them has caused headaches ever since. We'll look at why the split happened, what's fundamentally different under the hood, and how the two ecosystems are starting to come together.
**Agenda:**
7:00pm - Opening announcements
7:10pm - Bridging conda and PyPI ecosystems
7:50pm - Q&A
