**🏛️ WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?** Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and building a community. All with no ‘official’ philosophy knowledge required! 😎 Practical Philosophy is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to all, and not something reserved only for academics. Each week we choose a topic, and the goal is to use the conversation to develop our critical thinking and communication as we explore that topic. The goal is to help develop our Critical Thinking, Communication, and Community 🙌 **📓 HOW DOES IT WORK?** Each week, we pick one topic and discuss it. When groups get bigger than 7-8 people, it’s important that we break into smaller groups. Join us for a relaxed, creative afternoon where we explore portrait-based painting using a variety of tools and materials. This session is all about experimenting, playing, and letting go of perfection. Whether you’re a total beginner or already love painting, this workshop is friendly, easy-going, and open to everyone (*no prior art experience needed)*. **All ages are welcome.** ✨ What makes this workshop special? This is a “paint each other” session where we go beyond brushes alone. You’ll be paired with another member of the group to paint each other’s portrait, creating something personal, fun and expressive. At the end, you’ll take your portrait home with you. You’ll be encouraged to paint using sponges, tape, fingers, leaves, found objects, and any unconventional tools you feel drawn to. Every workshop includes a unique creative activity, so each session feels fresh and expressive. 👩‍🎨 How does it work? With the tools and objects you have found or provided, you'll be guided with a simple activity that can help you break the ice with the canvas. From there, you’re free to explore and build your artwork using these tools in your own way. The point is to let go of perfection and paint out of the lines.
