Taurus Sun and Scorpio Moon bring our attention to the union of matter and spirit, making Beltane a celebration of Life itself - long celebrated in pre-Christian Britain, Beltane may pole dances remained common in Britain until the 17th century. Radical Faeries have been part of the modern pagan reclaiming of the wild and free spirit of Beltane in our sanctuaries since the 1980s. Let's bring some of that Faerie Liberation to central London! It's **Bank Holiday Weekend** so avoid the crowded garden centres and unwelcome visitors and join us on this fun 34 mile ride through the glorious Surrey Hills. According to Pagan rites May 1 is officially the start of Summer now so let's (slightly belatedly) celebrate by riding to Box Hill. Box Hill is has historically been associated with pagan festivities, particularly during the 18th century, when Daniel Defoe described large crowds engaging in "sensual delights". Today, the celebrations are a blend of these ancient traditions and local heritage, with Box Hill offering a perfect, elevated spot for welcoming the summer. We meet at Surbiton Station for a 10.00 start for This is mostly off-road route. The initial part of the ride takes us on roads but that changes from Epsom where we cross the race course to Walton-On-The-Hill where we stop for coffee. Then onwards off-road to Box Hill and down the Zig Zag Road to the historic Roman road known as Stane Street. The final part of the ride takes us through The Prince's Coverts to Claygate and ending back at Hampton Court Station at around 4pm. MTB, Hybrid or Gravel bikes will all do for this fun ride. Journey out to the heart of West Sussex, for a gathering in the forest. **CLH Humanist Science Fiction Group: Astronomy Photography Exhibition** **Sunday 3rd May 2026 - 10:45am to 12.45pm GMT** Hello fellow Humanist Sci-Fi fans! We will be meeting up in **Greenwich** at the **National Maritime Museum** to go and look at the Astronomy Photography Exhibition at **11am**. We can then grab a drink and / or snack in the Museum's cafe or a local pub / cafe and discuss Sci-Fi and Astronomy. We've deliberately gone for 3rd May as it is the nearest weekend date to May the 4th - Star Wars Day! The Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park is a historic site for public speaking, debate, and protest. Let's meetup there to listen and watch. If we're lucky, there will be talented speakers. Then we will look for a spot away from the attention of the crowd and practice a few speaking rounds between ourselves. Being outdoors, we will train clear articulation and voice projection. What works to get the attention of listeners: being bigger than life, showering them with good energy, pleasure to be alive, enthusiasm! Then we will sit on the grass and eat sandwiches from our bags. I, Jean-Marc will lead this session. As a storyteller (storytelling is a performing art) I have the experience of being on stage, on my own, and hold adults' or children's attention for one hour or more. When I came to London, I retrained my skills speaking English with Toastmasters. Please don't RSVP Yes if you are not determined to turn up.

**Pagans on the Patio! Summer/Fall Series** A casual gathering the first Thursday of each month. Time to relax, meet new people, and reconnect with old friends. There is no charge for the event itself and all are welcome but there are a few guidelines: 1. **You are expected to purchase food and/or drink to compensate the Cantina and our server.** 2. **No soliciting. Do not bring samples of your wares or brochures of your services.** 3. **Please respect the spiritual and political views of others that are present.
