Bray Head Hike and Upper Cliff Path to Greystones
January is in the rear view mirror, so why not join us for our first walk of the year and meet some new people while you're at it! We will hike up Bray Head and along the Cliff Walk (Upper Path) to Greystones, followed by lunch at The Happy Pear (optional).
We'll leave at 11:20 AM sharp from Bray DART station. If you arrive late, you may be able to catch up with us along the way, but we can't promise to wait for individual members.
A reasonable level of fitness is required - the Bray Head part is short but pretty steep! But you could take the DART to Greystones (next stop after Bray) and meet us at the Happy Pear if you are not the hiking type!
If you want to invite someone along as a +1, they will be your responsibility. Remember: all members are to be treated with respect and kindness regardless of social background.
The trails can be quite muddy, especially after all this rain, so come prepared (rain jacket, good walking shoes etc).

Celebrate Brigid Enchantment through the Voice
Come to sing in community to celebrate Irelandās saint/goddess Brigid and the Celtic festival of Imbolc, the midpoint between the winter solstice and spring equinox. We will meet on the weekend of Irelandās St. Brigidās Day bank holiday and Imbolc (1 February) to celebrate the healing power of the feminine and the fertility of the Earth as it springs back into life after winter.
Letās gather to sing uplifting songs, shake off the cobwebs, enliven ourselves and celebrate the innate healing powers and wisdom of women and of the Earth. Singing together will help us welcome the return of the warmth to the land and the fire in our bellies associated with Imbolc.
Adults of all ages and abilities are welcome. You donāt need any singing or voice-work experience, and no one will be asked to sing solo. This is a relaxed, friendly and safe space, and participants frequently report leaving feeling recharged, grounded, and uplifted.

reviving gardans, Growing community
**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic**
This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. Itās about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there.
On the day, weāll:
* Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep
* Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally
* **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices
* Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food
* Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, weāll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea:
* The possibility of **small community āpark farmsā or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin
* What that might look like, whatās realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further
Thereās no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether youāre experienced with gardening or completely new, youāre very welcome.
Bring clothes you donāt mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key.
This is just a **first step** ā a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if thereās a shared appetite to keep growing something together.
Imbolc Sesshin on the St. Brigid's Day Weekend Jan 31st - Feb 2nd 2026
This is a non-residential zen retreat at Earth+Sky Zen, 1 Upper Gardiner St. Dublin 1. Participants will come on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30am until 8:15pm and Monday morning from 7:30am to 11:30pm. During the weekend we will practice zazen - sitting meditation -, walking meditation, *meitheal* \- preparing food and cleaning the zen room \- \. We practice noble silence throughout the weekend\. Roshi Mary Soshin will lead the retreat and give a dharma talk each day\.
