Cycling and picnic at Remerschen: 32km, 40km or 72km
**What we will do together**
**1.** Cycle from Luxembourg gare **(front of Police station)** to Remerschen Youth Hostel (about 32km).
**2.** Have a meal at the Youth hostel.
Those who wish to do a shorter ride can take the **bus** from Remerschen back to Lux gare.
You can also **exit the ride** at Remich (about 40 km from the start point). There are frequent buses from Remich to Luxembourg city
**3.** Cycle from Remerschen to Wasserbilling gare (about 40km).
If we maintain an average speed of about 18km/hour and have a total stop time of 90 minutes (including 1 hour meal at the youth hostel), we can finish the ride in 5 hours and 30 minutes.
**Getting home from the finishing point (Wasserbillig gare)**
There are trains from Wasserbillig to Luxembourg Gare every 30 minutes. Also, there are buses going from Wasserbillig to other directions.
**What to bring**
1\. Your bike in tip top condition\.
2\. Energy snacks\.
3\. Lots of fluids to stay hydrated\.
4. **Packed food** for the meal at the Youth hostel. **ALTERNATIVELY,** you can **order food** at Remerschen Youth hostel, if we get there before 14:00h. They close the kitchen at 2pm.

Sunday Hike MƤrtchen - 12km - No Loop
Hi All,
Some of you might have seen in the city centre the MƤrtchen ([https://www.vdl.lu/en/visiting/leisure-and-recreation/luxembourg-city-markets/maertchen](https://www.vdl.lu/en/visiting/leisure-and-recreation/luxembourg-city-markets/maertchen)). Apparently it's linked to some religious event (Christian, not foody). But don't ask me. Anyway, I thought about finishing a hike there.
We start in Howald near the tram stop Scillas, go to the Alzette and walk along to the city centre. With some water breaks. So the trail will be mostly flat forest with some stairs for the conscious.

Lunchbreak: MƤrtchen on Kuedler
Public Transport: Tram to Scillas
Parking: I suggest to park in the city centre
