A most wonderful 7 mile sometimes undulating circular walk through taking in the delightful centuries old buildings of Old Amersham, Shardeloes Lake, River Misbourne, Little Missenden and its historic church resplendent with stained glass windows and beautiful woodland on the return to Amersham. Using your oyster card you can either take the 10.57am overland train from Marylebone railway station that arrives at Amersham train station at 11.32am, or take the Met Line passing through Baker Street. You may also drive to Amersham and park very near the station. The walk shall commence by 11.45am. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots/trainers plus sunhat, suncream and sunglasses. You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. We shall stop by a pub for lunch - although you should bring a packed lunch - for 45 mins in Little Missenden having first visited the historic church. Regular Men's Circles, normally the 2nd Tuesday of the month. This is a **closed group**, which currently may be full, with a small wait list, which you are warmly welcome to join. I am starting an evening Circle, same day (2nd Tues), as many men are unable to join in the day (though we have template message to ask work for time off for CPD / Development). Closed group has the same men each time, which means the men in the group will get to know each other and feel safer to open/go deeper. After a complementary 'Taster Circle', if you want to become a regular, you'll be asked to commit to the rest of the 6 month 'term' (start Jan and July). Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to another one of the WALK events where you have the opportunity to explore all the scenic routes I’ll execute whether there’s nature within, whether we get immersed within the city and feel great about yourself.

With this particular walk, we will be walking through Greenwich. The Olympic way between the O2 and the Cutty Sark offers some unique sceneries from certain angles we never thought we’d see. Alongside that, the walk is a soothing one too. After this walk, we will be heading to ‘The Trafalgar Tavern’. This tavern is adorned with artefacts and paintings that represent the Mabel history. It’s also on the riverside with the nice view of the O2 from where we began. PRECAUTIONS - Cutty sark station is closed due to refurbishments so you can walk to Greenwich DLR station from there or take either the 129 or 188 to North Greenwich station/O2.

In this iteration of the Philosophy of Life Sciences Reading group we'll explore biopolitics in the 21st century, through Byung-Chul Han's *The Burnout Society*. We'll focus on chapters 1-6, but it's a pretty short book so, if you have the time, feel free to read the whole thing. Anyone from any background is welcome! Byung-Chul Han frames neurological disorders, such as ADHD and burnout, as excesses of positivity, rather than negativities, symptoms of a society that continually demands for participation and production. Have we moved beyond disciplinary power? How should we respond to a society that demands us to be always active? And, given the recent "vibe shift", is this critique of neoliberalism even relevant? From Goodreads: Our competitive, service-oriented societies are taking a toll on the late-modern individual. This group is a private substance misuse support group, for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship with drugs/alcohol. The group is facilitated by a trained and qualified Janus worker. This group is designed to offer support, encouragement and to provide a forum, that allows you to make informed choices. The objective of this group is to liberate you from the labels of addiction, dependency, illness sickness and "disease", replacing them with the more proactive terminology of choice, responsibility, self control and decision making. Janus does not use the 12 step model. **Welcome to the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky’s Support Group.** *\*\*This meeting has been moved to the 4th Monday of each month.* This group is a safe space for **survivors of traumatic and acquired brain injuries**, as well as their **families and caregivers**, to find support, share experiences, and connect with others who understand the journey. Whether you're newly injured, a longtime survivor, or supporting a loved one, you’ll find comfort, information, and encouragement here. Our professionally facilitated groups offer a confidential, compassionate setting for healing, learning, and growing together. Join us to discover the power of community—because no one should walk this road alone. *All survivors of ABI/TBI and those who care for them are welcome.* \* This meeting is for persons with brain tumors and their guests. \*\* This is a hybrid meeting. For those meeting in-person dinner is served at 5:45pm. Online begins at 6:30pm.

Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details: IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. **The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
