**Who Should Attend?**
Our workshops at The Production Studio are designed for photographers looking to expand their skills or build their portfolios in a professional setting. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced shooter, these sessions offer hands-on learning with top-tier talent from leading agencies.
Studio photography can feel intimidating, but our workshops provide a relaxed environment where you can observe, ask questions, and learn by doing. There’s nothing like hands on experience.
With a variety of styles and themes, each session ensures participants have the opportunity to shoot one-on-one with models, refine their techniques, and connect with fellow photographers and enthusiasts.
** What you should bring:**
* A DSLR/Mirrorless camera
* Fully Charged Battery
* Freshly Formatted Memory Card(s)
* General Lenses: 24-70mm, 24-105mm and 70-200mm If you have a macro lens, 50mm or 85mm please bring it along. It really depends on the type of workshop
* Pocket Wizards (if you have your own, otherwise one will be provided for you)
* Bring along a list of shots you’d like to achieve or posing ideas. It can help to ensure that you get the perfect image.
**Workshop Details:**
* Arrival: Upon arrival, use the intercom to call unit 205 for entry. Please aim to arrive 15 minutes early to settle in before the session begins.
* Social Interaction: Feel free to connect with the workshop host and fellow photographers. Keep conversations lighthearted and professional to foster a creative and welcoming environment.
* Photoshoot Session: Each workshop runs for 3 hours, with participants working one-on-one with the model across 4-5 different sets. The goal is to capture a few standout images from each setup that you can proudly showcase on your website and social media.
* Model Release: A non-commercial model release, signed by the model, will be provided to each photographer. Photos and videos taken during the workshop can be used for personal promotional purposes only, including portfolios, websites, and print media such as postcards.
* Please note that behind-the-scenes (BTS) content may be captured by individuals, the model, MUA, or the event host. If you prefer not to be recorded, kindly inform everyone before the event begins.
**Cancellation Policy**
Cancellations are accepted 7-14 days before the workshop (depending on the event) for a full refund. This policy ensures workshops can run smoothly for the studio, models, and MUAs.
Think of workshop registration like purchasing a concert ticket, refunds aren’t typically given. However, if you cancel within 7 days and a replacement is found, a full refund will be issued.
If the organizer cancels, you’ll receive a full refund. In rare cases, a model may be replaced due to illness, but only with someone of similar look and talent.
**About the organizer:**
Emanuel Pires has been a photographer for over a decade, leading more than 800 workshops. With years of experience, he offers professional, engaging, and educational sessions designed to inspire creativity. His goal is to build a vibrant community of artists, models, and makeup artists within his professional space.

Mother's Day Photo Walk in Yorkville — Family Tour with Pro Photos | Toronto
— Toronto's Most Charming Heritage Tour, with Professional Family Photos Included.

WHY THIS IS THE BEST MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IN TORONTO
Flowers wilt. Brunch is forgotten by Tuesday. But a gallery of professional photos of Mom with her family in front of Toronto's most beautiful heritage buildings? That's a gift that gets framed, printed, and shown off for years. Whether your mom loves history, fashion, design, or just being celebrated — this is the rare Mother's Day experience that gives her the spotlight, the story, and the souvenir.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Flat, fully paved sidewalks the whole way — no hills, no stairs, fully accessible for grandparents and strollers. Wear something Mom will love being photographed in (this is her day, after all), bring comfortable shoes, and leave the cameras at home — we've got everything covered.
Booking note: spots are limited. Reserve early to guarantee your family's place on the Mother's Day walk.

FREE Oral Conversational Spanish, English, and French Classes 4 Adults!!
\*These classes are not a language exchange, but instead are meant to be a step in between so that students feel confident maintaining in depth and grammatically correct oral conversations outside of class\*
\***Meetup event numbers only tend to show new students registering and do not include returning students attending class.** **Per class, there is an average of 7 students.** The first 2 classes are free and then only cost between $18 and $45 depending on which type of class you want to continue with\*
These French, English (for Spanish and French speakers only), and Spanish classes are primarily meant for adults who are travellers, or who are planning to live in a French, English, or Spanish-speaking country. Improv Class for New Friends
Don't be disappointed if you don't see a bunch of people attending. I advertise this on multiple platforms and the class usually sells out.
\*\*If you don't use Paypal, email me at ralph@socap.ca and we'll figure it out. You can pay be etransfer or with a credit card/cash at the venue.\*\*
Improv comedy uses several techniques to create laughter. These include, creating an atmosphere free of judgement, saying 'yes', active listening, being positive, putting your focus on others, and the importance of play and laughter.
Not coincidentally, these are the same things that happen to us naturally when we are bonding with another person.
In this class, we'll explore these techniques not with the goal of being funny, but with the goal of being people that other people want to be around.
The teacher, Ralph MacLeod, is a co-founder of two independent improv clubs in Toronto - Bad Dog Theatre and Social Capital Theatre. He's been teaching improv for over 30 years. He also teaches these same techniques to several organizations including UofT, Google, Kraft, Shopify and many, many more.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have!
FAQs and Good To Know....
After every event, a group from this class sit down and have a drink together so be prepared to stay if you want! Of course, you don't HAVE to.
You also don't have to be single or bring a friend. The vibe of this class is much more 'making new friends' than a 'singles' mixer'.
We usually run to 8:15 so pay for extra parking!

Every FOUR years, the 14 members 'disband', and a new group of 14 members is put together. A new cohort!
Which also means 14 new instruments to learn about!
The new cohort will dig into European Medieval, the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Central Asian musical traditions, and will feature unique instrumentation ranging from guzheng, Hardanger fiddle, lutes, hurdy gurdy, qanun and microtonal guitar; bringing a whole new sound to the project.
The Aga Khan Museum concert venue is one of our top 3 spots in Toronto--for live music.
Tickets have just gone 'on sale'. I've purchased a ticket in Row F.
Prices are: $50 regular. $37.50 for Senior.

\*\*\*Purchase your own ticket--**and the ticket price includes** entry into the Museum from 6pm onwards (which we always do). We can check out the new exhibitions.

Wim Hof Method
It's better when we're together. Come and experience the power of the WHM with a wonderful group of people. We breathe, we go into the cold and we teach our bodies to heat up properly. We develop resilience and the mindset to use these powerful healing tools over and over again, all year round. This gathering is fully guided by Wim Hof instructor Steve Beattie.
If you are new to this, come on down, enjoy the support and practice in a safe way with us. If you already have a WHM practice this meetup is a great way to take it to the next level, and make lots of new friends.
There will be a fire, snacks and drinks shared by other attendees. We have been doing this 6 for years!

Mindful Photography Walk – A Gentle Pause in Nature
Join me for a small, mindful photography walk in nature. (**NOTE Time is 9:00 AM EST(Meetup is having technical Issue))**
This is a slow, intentional gathering — not focused on fitness or perfect photography — but on simply pausing, observing, and being present.
We’ll walk at a gentle pace, with moments of quiet, and a few light prompts to help you notice details you might normally miss.
📷 You don’t need any photography experience — a phone camera is enough.
This is also not a business networking event. It’s a calm space to connect with nature and, if it feels natural, with like-minded people.
🌿 What to expect:
• A slow-paced, relaxed walk
• Moments of silence and observation
• Simple reflection prompts
📍 Location: [ Red Trabue Nature Preserve]
⏱ Duration: \~60 minutes
This is a small, initial gathering as I begin creating this space through WellGratiVibes — a blend of mindfulness, nature, and quiet connection.
If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to join.
