Join us for **Indoor** Padel at Racketworld Ottakring (right next to metro station U3 Kendlerstraße). **Skill requirements:** * Comfortable with back-wall rebounds * you can play fore- and backhand * You can return balls as volley and smash balls if you have the opportunity * Lob the ball close to the back-wall if necessary **How we play**? one court: 4-5 players / intermediate and low-advanced only **Price** * 17-20 € for 2h depending on number of players * I usually have spare rackets available for free. Otherwise you can rent a racket from the venue for 4 € * You can pay via Revolut, PayPal, instant Bank Transfer or Cash. I prefer transfer over cash. **Cancellation** * If the wait list is empty, please cancel at least 26h before the event (The venue mandates me to cancel at least 24h before) * If people are on the wait list please cancel at least 10h before the event to give people on the wait list a chance to jump in. If you cancel later, you have to pay a 10 € late cancellation fee. All late cancellation fees will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (Ärzte ohne Grenzen). * I understand that sometimes unexpected things can come up. However, not showing up and failing to let me know is considered disrespectful and goes against the community spirit. This is our weekly event! ----------------- Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10:25 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. We play 2 hours. Usually 6vs6 + player from each side that changes while rotating. First 15-20 minutes is warm-up and practice, then we play.

So if you stay facing the main entrance, you need to turn left, walk till the corner of the building, turn right and walk till you see the glass door. When you enter the glass door - you skip first court on the left, continue going straight. Then you will have one more glass door - and then on the left side you will find the wardrobe for guys, next one is for girls. Enter and you will see the court. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
