Beginner Adult Tennis Group Lesson
Beginner Adult Tennis Group Lesson
New to tennis? Welcome — this is exactly where to start. This clinic is designed for **adult beginners** who are stepping onto the court for the first time (or returning after a long break) and want to build real skills from the ground up. Sessions are led by **Coach Yiran**, a former nationally ranked junior (No. 89 in the US 16s), collegiate player at Carnegie Mellon University, and current NTRP 5.0C on USTA record and Coach **Shawn**, USTA 4.5 player with PTR L1 certified. Coach Yiran's teaching philosophy is built on **efficiency and clarity** — no overwhelming technical jargon, just clean fundamentals that actually stick. You'll learn how to move, how to hit, and how to think on the court from day one. Expect a supportive, structured environment where every drill has a purpose and every session builds on the last. Whether you've never held a racket or just need a proper foundation, this is your starting point. We have two adult beginner lesson this Sunday, 8:00AM- 9:30AM, price are all 45$ for 1.5 hour. Please choose the series you are interested in and text me for any questions. I will send the court details 30 minutes before the course starts.
Quads & Doubles Volleyball - Competitive intermediate/A
Quads & Doubles Volleyball - Competitive intermediate/A
Let's get together to play some competitive quads and doubles volleyball. **COST**: FREE **Court Type**: Outdoor grass **Minimum Skill Requirements**: Intermediate (click [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/mobilebasic) for details) Attention: 1. This event is **NOT on a first come-first serve** basis and players with higher skill level and players who can bring a net/ball will get priority over others on the wait list. 2. Since skill levels are **self-reported**, some new attendees may not meet the expected level. For doubles, we encourage you to choose a partner you can enjoy the game with, and since this a competitive event, it is okay if you make a strong team and win all the games. 3. Each person must help set up and take down one net, leaving some nets unset for latecomers. 4. Please answer all questions, so it's helpful for us to organize the event. **Smiley Social documents:** 1. Meaningful Conversation and Coffee: Northside Social Arlington
Meaningful Conversation and Coffee: Northside Social Arlington
Higher Grounds – Arlington is part of a growing network of gatherings where we create space for thoughtful, authentic dialogue about what matters most. Whether we’re exploring the nature of happiness, the challenges and possibilities of midlife, spirituality, culture, capitalism, parenting, or the role of art and travel in a meaningful life, every conversation is shaped by the people in the room. There’s no set leader or rigid agenda—just a shared commitment to listen as much as we speak. We start with brief introductions focused on what makes you you (not your LinkedIn bio), then dive straight into whatever is on people’s minds. The direction of each meetup emerges organically, making every event unique. MANDATORY: PLEASE REVIEW OUR COMMUNITY GUIDELINES IN THE GROUP DESCRIPTION. Everyone is expected to engage in respectful conversations and listen deeply as well as share. We have a zero tolerance policy of sexual harassment and hate speech. In Person - Effortless Meditation & Beyond
In Person - Effortless Meditation & Beyond
**Hi Everyone!** The DMV Nonduality Community (https://www.meetup.com/dmv-nonduality-community) is doing something a little different from their usual gatherings. On Sunday morning, June 21st, doors open at 10:30 AM for the meditation. We will explore the pathless path to spiritual awakening and enlightenment. In person, Jeff will be leading us through his Effortless Meditation & Beyond in our home. After the meditation, we can share our experiences of the meditation and, possibly, talk about what it's like to live an Awakened life. **EM&B is a unique, effortless, simple, direct, quick and effective tool:** 1. **to experience MUCH less anxiety, frustration, depression, stress and suffering due just to daily living and due to intensely life-long emotional issues** 2. **to experience MORE and MORE inner Peace, Joy, Freedom, Love, Compassion, Appreciation, Gratitude** 3. **to directly realize Spiritual Awakening \~ your True Self...** Jeff has taught EM&B to small and large groups for over 19 years. In addition, he served as a volunteer when he taught EM&B to inmates at a local jail for over 13 years. The results were remarkable! Generally, inmates experience enormous amount of frustration, anger, sadness, depression, anxiety and fear about things they have no control over on the outside, as well as concerns for themselves inside. Through EM&B, many experienced deep Peace... In April 2019, Jeff received an Excellence award for "Outstanding Volunteer" from the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Come connect with like-minded individuals from the DMV area and embark on an experiential journey of discovery of who we **really** are. **We're looking forward to being with you.** **Take care in This Peace and Compassion,** Jeff & Julie Address: 3 Briardale Ct. Rockville/Derwood, MD 20855 Plenty of parking on one side of Briardale Ct. or any space not marked "Reserved." 301-885-8259
