Join us for a relaxed evening of games, fun, and great company during the week. ***While we are aware of the current situation in the region, life goes on, and sometimes the best thing we can do is support one another and continue building community.*** To keep things comfortable and safe, this event will be limited to a smaller group during this period. This gathering is open to locals and expats alike, perfect for meeting new friends while enjoying card games, chess, and other fun board games. The idea is simple: play, chat, and unwind together. 📍 **Location:** Adam Coffee Shop ⌚ **Time:** 7:30–9:30 PM 👥 **Vibe:** Chill, social, and lightly competitive (in a fun way!) 🎟 **Entrance Fee:** 10 QAR (cash only) ☕ **Minimum Order:** One drink or food item We’ll rotate between games and tables depending on the number of participants so everyone has a chance to meet and play with different people. Feel free to bring your own games to share! As the café kindly hosts us, we encourage everyone to support them by ordering at least one drink or food item. For those who prefer healthier choices, the café also offers sugar-free drinks and food options. **Note:** Based on previous experiences where some attendees did not place orders and misused shared resources, we have introduced a small entrance fee to help maintain a respectful and positive environment. The fee will also contribute to supporting the community, including providing food for stray cats. Come by, relax, and enjoy a friendly evening together.

Language Exchange over a drink. This is a free event and we welcome local and expats to come for a chat and some good company. **Languages👂🏻💋:** English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese (and more depending on the attendees) **Topics🗣 : Collection** **Location: EL&N London in Msheireb** We have certified Chinese and English teachers here who also speak Spanish and Japanese. We are looking for Arabic-speakers or anyone who wishes to practice these languages or just to connect. We choose a different place every week and this time *a rosy pink cafe in the posh neighborhood*. Participants will be put in different tables based on number of people and langauge-pairs and swap places from time to time. *As customary to support local business, participants are responsible for paying for their own drinks and any order.* *Look for a blood Asian girl when you get there!!*

_Game: Basketball 🏀 _ _Duration:_ 1.5 hour _Number of players:_ 5 vs 5 _Objective:_ First team to reach 21 points wins; play till the 1-hour time limit expires. The team that wins the most matches will be declared the overall winner, making it a highly competitive and exciting game! _Sharing cost:_ Each player contributes 15 QAR.

Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
