**Description:** Join us for trivia at Lost Dog Cafe in McLean, Virginia located at 1690 Anderson Rd every Tuesday evening in October. Trivia begins at 7pm, but please consider joining earlier, around 6:30, since seating’s first-come-first-served. Speaking of seating, per Lost Dog’s regulations, a team needs to have at least five members in order to participate in trivia. So please make sure you RSVP so we can secure a spot to play in trivia. PVSC's 12th Annual New Year's Day Samoyed Flash Mob will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Christmas tree on the U.S. Capitol's West Lawn. We'll hang out there until 11:45 a.m., or so, and will do a group photo before beginning a walk to the Washington Monument. Every Samoyed enthusiast is welcome! **The event will happen -- regardless of the weather. **Our Samoyeds are winter weatherproof! We encourage the wearing of jingle bells on the dogs and other festive attire! The food kiosks on the Mall should be open and they serve hot beverages. Parking around the Capitol Reflecting Pool is free and should be plentiful during the morning. __P.S. Please do not bring Flexi-leashes_, they don't work well with a large group of dogs. Thanks!

Come to Arlington Central Library to meet some chronically ill friends! Members suffer from conditions including ME/CFS, long covid, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, autoimmune kidney disease, POTS, psoriatic arthritis, Ehlers Danlos, genetic heart conditions, and more. We'll be doing some relaxed coloring book activities. Materials are provided, but if you have any other crafts or supplies you want to bring feel free :) If you don't feel like coloring we'd still love if you just hung out. Hope to see you there!

Join us for a short and pleasant e-bike ride in and around the center of Washington, DC, on New Year's Day. Note the starting time is 12:30 PM. NOTE: New starting point is Haines Point as the roads are blocked off for a 5K race. The total tour distance is some 20 miles but you can cut it short if needed. 94% of the ride is on paved bike paths and flat terrain. At the halfway point, we will provide snacks, hot tea, and cider. You can even bring your own picnic. Various monuments can be seen during this route (the Capitol, the municipal Fish Market, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Nationals ballpark stadium, the Titanic memorial, and the new Frederick Douglas bridge). I have some extra pickle ball paddles and balls if you don’t have one. Definitely bring your own paddle if you have one and bring some balls if you have them.
