Ladies Only: Focus & Flow 🎯📚
Ladies Only: Focus & Flow 🎯📚
Goal Focus & Flow is a casual, women only event created for deep focus, intentional progress, and genuine connection. Bring whatever you’re currently working on, studying, planning, writing, researching, job searching, creative projects, or personal goals and spend focused time working independently while surrounded by other women doing the same. The energy is calm, supportive, and rooted in mutual growth. At the end of the session, we’ll do a brief, optional share where participants can talk about what they worked on and what they learned. Sharing insights helps reinforce learning, spark ideas for others, and turn individual progress into collective knowledge. This space is intentionally designed to help women: Stay accountable to their goals ✅ Learn from one another in an organic, low-pressure way Retain what they’re working on by reflecting and sharing ‍♀️ Build friendships while growing side by side The shared focus and reflection create a natural sense of connection, allowing friendships to form through growth rather than small talk. Location note: For women’s safety and comfort, the venue will not be shared publicly. The exact location will be shared privately in the group chat with confirmed attendees. Join the group chat here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/H533SlZi8h70XjkN6iSEws Come as you are. Work at your own pace. Leave with clarity, momentum, and the feeling that you’re not growing alone.

My Body Don't Flow So Fast - Slow Flow Vinyasa
My Body Don't Flow So Fast - Slow Flow Vinyasa
This class is a perfect stepping stone from our flagship My Body Don't Bend That Way classes to traditional Vinyasa and Flow classes. The pace is slow allowing for plenty of time to get a feel for the postures and the proper alignment and modifications for your body. But don't let the slow word fool you! By slowing things down, even advanced practitioners can be challenged to build greater strength. **Please reserve your spot at www.piesfitnessyoga.com.** The session is offered InStudio and OnLine. The Zoom link for the OnLine session will be emailed 15 minutes before class starts to those who are registered at www.piesfitnessyoga.com. **Sign up for sessions must be made at least 2 hours prior to class.** The address is 1322 Prince St. Alexandria, VA 22314. Our entrance is located on the side of the building, parallel to West St. **Street parking is available and additional parking is located at Shiloh Baptist church, spaces 36,37,38,39.** The church is located across the street from the studio, on the corner of Duke St. and West St.

Quads & Doubles Volleyball - Competitive BB+/A
Quads & Doubles Volleyball - Competitive BB+/A
Let's get together to play some competitive quads and doubles volleyball. **COST**: FREE **Court Type**: Outdoor grass **Minimum Skill Requirements**: BB+ (click [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/mobilebasic) for details) Attention: 1. This event is **NOT on a first come-first serve** basis and players with higher skill level and players who can bring a net/ball will get priority over others on the wait list. 2. Since skill levels are **self-reported**, some new attendees may not meet the expected level. For doubles, we encourage you to choose a partner you can enjoy the game with, and since this a competitive event, it is okay if you make a strong team and win all the games. 3. Each person must help set up and take down one net, leaving some nets unset for latecomers. 4. Please answer all questions, so it's helpful for us to organize the event. **Smiley Social documents:** 1. Capoeira
Capoeira
Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since it’s origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritage” by UNESCO. No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome. **Please reserve your spot at www.piesfitnessyoga.com**. The session is offered InStudio only. **Sign up for sessions must be made at least 2 hours prior to class.** The address is 1322 Prince St. Alexandria, VA 22314. Our entrance is located on the side of the building, parallel to West St. **Street parking is available and additional parking is located at Shiloh Baptist church, spaces 3,5,7,9.** The church is located across the street from the studio, on the corner of Duke St. and West St.
Laughter "Yoga" Outdoors in Nottoway Park Vienna!
Laughter "Yoga" Outdoors in Nottoway Park Vienna!
Sunday, May 3 is World Laughter Day! Let's get together to "laugh on purpose" or "laugh for no reason." Laughter brings us the benefits of exercise and even some more — stress relief and a sense of connection. If you don't "feel like laughing," that's when you can often benefit the most! Laughter Yoga has no yoga poses and no jokes — just gentle inspiration to laugh together. It's a super-healthful (research-backed) practice which is also fun, and you can participate according to your own comfort zone! (you are welcome to get a bit zany, or not at all!) It also includes some deep breathing and gentle movement. Find out more at [www.laughteryoga.org](http://www.laughteryoga.org/) . I'm a certified Laughter Yoga leader (yes that is a thing!) and I do it both professionally and as a volunteer. (I'll be leading laughter at a marathon warmup the day before!) Join me from 2 - 3 pm in Nottoway Park to try this practice and feel the benefits! The park is just 1 mile from the Vienna metro station. I'll bring large blankets so we can sit on the ground if desired (or use a picnic table). All you need is a water bottle. Please include your cell number so we can be sure to find each other. Hope to see you!

Injuries: Play safely and be mindful of others on the court. Respect positions and avoid risky moves that could lead to injury. If you’re not sure the ball is yours, call it before going for it to avoid collisions. 3. Hike Chestnut Ridge
Hike Chestnut Ridge
We will hike the Ridge Trail and Meadows Trail twice, for a total of 3.8 miles. There are some pretty good inclines so plan on getting a cardio workout :). This is a loop which is pretty easy to follow; thus faster walkers can take the lead and the rest (like me) will bring up the rear at a slightly slower pace. You could also just do the loop once for 1.9 miles. No one left behind. Optional lunch to follow in Canal Winchester. I'm working through the metro parks - this is the third one!
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective. This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly. Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
